    Robinhood orders don't go to an exchange, they go to a trading firm, which fills the order. Robinhood and the trading firm split the profits.

    hedge funds utilize the dark pools to purchase synthetic shares...and short into oblivion. of course all of this is poorly hidden..but can be found on finra under otc(non-ats) data issued. a great video would be how this is done to manipulate the market.

    What did McFee have access to that allowed him to see these large dumps of stock by Axe capital? The dialog in the show makes it sound like McFee has a contact inside one of these dark pool organizations that is feeding him information about trading activity so he could make the suggestion to Taylor of front running Axe Capital. It seems the important thing to know how to do with these dark pools is to be able to analize the trading patterns in such a way that you can predict a large stock dump or a large stock buyback. My question is how do you develope these skills and what should you be looking for that indicates this kind of activity. I want to be able to trade like McFee if I ever have the opportunity to trade at all.

    Two questions, would volume from the dark pool show up on public charts that the rest of us use eventually, since you said there was a delay, or will it never show up? Like might not see it on the minute charts, but would see it on the daily by end of day or something? Second question is why would stock be trading at $160 in the dark pool and $180 on the public exchanges like your example? It would be stupid to sell in the dark pool if this was the case. Could probably do a market order to unload your entire position on public exchange at $180 without it ever getting pushed down to $160 even with a monstrous position size. Find it hard to believe there would be this big of a discrepancy between the two.

    • @Macro-Ops
      @Macro-Ops  5 років тому +1

      Yea it's a delay, so it eventually shows up. I'm not certain on the time frame.
      That was just an example. If that was the case then you would buy on the dark pool and flip it on the exchange. As you said, it's doubtful there is that big of a discrepancy

      Yea but the actual companies could get rocked because of environmental damage

    • @markkond8565
      @markkond8565 5 років тому +1

      No consumer in their right mind would see a gas storage explosion on the news and say "Better get me some gas, supply just diminished". Instead they would probably reach the much saner conclusion that "Gas is volatile and explosive, better get it out of my house." That kind of drop in demand would kill the price of gas.

    Quick question, from legal perspective, is this information considered as “non public material”? From Axe’s perspective it clear is, cause he immediately knows the stock price will drop regardless no company name was mentioned in the phone call. He then acted on this info. Is it legal to do so?
