Hi Bill! Great things you've said, one od them: we chose them and they didn't choose us. Thank you for these words 👍 Let's make their lives as perfect as we can, love them and be with them every day. Peace 🧚🍀
Great topic. Had mine for years saves more money than it cost me
The vlog squad ended up convincing me, I have a solarmeter on the way! I consider myself a good keeper but the idea that I have no way of knowing my animals UV exposure makes me really uncomfortable. Worst case it just gives me some piece of mind
Once you have a Solarmeter you will see how variable the UVB output is and you will have control over it. Without a solarmeter you are blissfully unaware of what is going on. I think you made the right move!
For the point of testing testing UV/Dietary D3 via clutch quality as far as calcified eggs; what about the hatchling's skeletal development if the clutch shell quality is poor? Can you breed in skeletal issues?
If the egg calcification is poor then we have our answer that she did not get enough calcium in her system. Connecting shell calcification with skeletal development would be a separate specialized test. What would you be looking for in this test)
Question? Do you know any breeders here in the states I could buy a phant from? I was thinking of buying from morphmarket but I don't know if thats a safe bet.
I can vouch for Misty Mountain Phants. That is my wife, Yvette, and the phants you see on my VLog and live sessions are bred by her. You can see her on Instagram or visit the website for availability (a whole new group was just added).
