- Polenta is a staple of Italian cuisine, and Martha Stewart demonstrates two methods for serving this versatile ingredient. Preparing polenta like risotto renders a creamy porridge, but you can also allow it to set, and cut it into shapes. Serve the creamy version as a side dish, or top the cakes with cheese and fresh vegetables to make a quick and easy appetizer.

Dear Martha, 45 mins at the stove ? ah..no. Step 1. Add how much Polenta you want to a Dry saucepan...then add water to saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium or Medium low and cover with a lid. Use a whisk until it gets to thick. Adjust water as needed while it cooks by running some water in the saucepan from the Kitchen Faucet. I sit down many times away from the Polenta while it cooks. Use a Microwave Timer and check your Polenta every 5 mins. It takes 30 mins max....maybe 20-25. Once the Polenta has bloomed turn the stove off to let residual heat cook it. Add water if it gets to thick at any time from there on out . Polenta is very easy to make.
I’ve watched so many cooking shows. Martha is still the best… elegant and classy, not too chatty, calm voice, easy to follow with her speed of talking. Thank you for this channel!
Martha is the best cooking teacher ever!

Excellent presentation, excellent preparation. You are the best cooking teacher. Thank you Matha
I love polenta but I just bought it, the tube…in different flavors. Now I can make it at home. Thanks for this post, and the idea of oven roasting cherry tomatoes in a bunch..very nice presentation.👍
Omg, nothing to do with this video, but has anyone tried the Martha Stewart fruit hand pies??? My local grocery store just started carrying a few things and OMG!!! They’re AMAZING!!! Taste homemade like my grandmothers! I went back and bought 3 more boxes!!! Love you Martha Stewart, and as always, your products never ever disappoint!! A class act!!!!

I will never understand why people think polenta is fancy and grits are trashy when they are the same damn thing.
Is polenta the same as grits?
Grits are made from white corn kernels, polenta is made from yellow corn.
@@Sharon-Collins ah, ok. Thank you.
I think it's something because of cheese also.
I love polenta; I add coconut milk to mine to add a different flavour.
Nice
I'd cook them in Ghee.
Looks a lot like cheesy grits.
I have a MAJOR QUESTION NOBODY ANYWHERE ELSE WILL ANSWER: where is DRIED POLENTA in the grocery store??? Is it not like grits or oatmeal or cream of wheat-ya know-drop it into boiling water?!?! Where? HOW? Please I don’t understand no one answering.
Does M know the Lt governor of Ontario? What is M's opinion of Italy to Iran? Have these countries injured the US and England's countries. Does Iran owe a debt in regards to the actions of a continent near them. Do Western E countries have an obligation to force Iran's hand?
