    If you have difficulty moving from "unfocused/scrolling" into "getting stuff done", this might help!
    Some people's brains change brainwave states easily, ie from alpha (unfocused dreamy) to beta (task focused). Other people's brains take their sweet time moving from one to the other.
    If you're in the second category - this track is pure gold.

    • @lopiklop
      @lopiklop 2 роки тому +1

      well that depends on where you're scrolling. certain website exploit "scrolling" by showing only one bit of content on your screen at a time. I use a desktop. It's a little different. Sites are trying to mimic the addictiveness of tiktok. I think people need basic computer literacy training to understand things like this. like how to avoid clickbait

    This seems to really work! I was able to work more than an hour past my bedtime without noticing it, and stayed in bed awake for an hour or so more. So follow his advice: don't use this close to bedtime. But then I think that shows it helps you go into flow. Just experiment and observe how long the effects last even after listening so it won't disrupt your sleep.

Not every time, but on occasion, I wake up and my entire body feels TOTALLY rejuvenated at a cellular level. I also prefer pure tones. The music is a distraction. I just don't understand how some people think it's snake oil and does nothing. I've never listened to iso's but I'm back in court reporting school. Muscle memory is key in learning this language. • @TheOrganicartist
      @TheOrganicartist 5 років тому +6

      Hello! friendly neighborhood science nerd here. \o/ The effect that isochronic tones and binaurals induce is called 'Entrainment' (physics definition). I highly recommend googling a full explaination but a TL;DR amounts to: Any system that operates with resonant frequencies can be influence by an external frequency source. if the external source maintains a frequency for long enough the chaotic system will start to resonate in tune with the driver frequency. The same effect can be induced through other sensory inputs as well. on a related note: the fact that isochronics and binaurals are not safe for people with seizure disorders is related to the effect of people with the disorder having seizures from certain frequencies of pulsing light.
      \o/

    Hey Jason I absolutely Love your videos and I am so grateful for them been using them for YEARS! As I am ADD I have an extremely difficult time Cleaning and Organizing the house and it oftentimes becomes a disaster quickly. Ive been trying to find out what Isochronic Tones, Binaural Beats, or Just what kind of brainwaves are best used in this situation? With anxiety, depression, and ADD alike we all need energy as well during that time. What would you recommend for this?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  4 роки тому +16

      Hi Cameron, thanks for being a long time listener. I haven't come across any kind of research where isochronic tones or binaurals were tested in that type of situation. I think that's because of the inability to influence the direction of motivation with this technology. Studies have shown that when people are more focused, motivated and energised, they usually produce more beta brainwave activity. So a common way for me to try and make someone more focused and motivated is to help them increase more beta wave activity. What I can't influence is what they then choose to direct that focus and motivation towards. So in addition to a track like this that will increase beta activity, you will need some kind of separate mental preparation to help you be better at cleaning and organisation. That will probably involve some kind of verbal dialogue. It could be listening to spoken instructions, affirmations that you say to yourself in your head, or maybe a to-do list that you follow and tick off. You will need something that uses specific language to direct your mind to a particular activity.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  2 роки тому +1

      The strongest effect will always be felt while listening to just the tones on their own. However, the most common way people listen to isochronic tones is by combining them with music, as most people find them more pleasant to listen to that way. So although you do lose a bit of the effectiveness, for most people it’s a worthwhile trade-off.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  5 років тому +2

      Listening to a lot of beta wave frequencies in the evening can disrupt your sleep, if listened to very close to when you want to sleep. It will depend on the person though. Taking naps may help to reduce the impact but again, it will depnd on the person. The best way to find out how it impacts you personally is through trial and error.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  3 роки тому +5

      Once it gets to the 6 minute mark it does stay at 18Hz until the final 5 minutes. There are different ways to approach a track like this. It is usually easier to entrain your brainwave activity to a frequency which is closer to your current mental state. When most people start listening, they probably aren’t already in a peak beta state. So it starts in a lower alpha frequency, where it should be easier to become entrained. It then it guides you up to a higher beta state and keeps you there.

      I can't say exactly how you will feel as I have never listened to these tracks for that long, nor do I know anyone who has. I would consider that as very excessive use and out of the norm. As I don't know how you will feel I can't recommend that. One thing I will advise you on is that if you listen for long periods you can become dehydrated, so it is important to always stay well-hydrated. You mentioned before about wanting to only sleep for 2-3 hours a day, which is also not recommended. You appear to be trying to overdo things to the extreme, where any potential side-effects would be unknown, so I can't advise that you do that.

    Yes I will obey master. Just kidding, do you know of any tests they did on animals and how the sounds affected them?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve had a few questions about that over the years which made me go look it up a number of times. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any studies done with animals. My guess is because it’s because there isn’t the technology to do the tests. With us humans, we will sit calmly while covered in wires and hooked up to an EEG. In recent times, more portable headset devices with Bluetooth make it easier to test people in different situations.
      With animals, there isn’t any portable of EEG headsets for them and they don’t sit nicely in one place while you connect them up and study their brains. So most stuff I’ve heard about has been on sedated animals, which doesn’t replicate real life situations. It would be good for example, if a dog’s brain could be studied to see what tone frequencies could be played that might reduce anxiety while the owner is out. Unfortunately, there isn’t the technology to test animals in that way yet. I do get the occasional positive feedback from dog owners but there hasn’t been enough to help me know what might work.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  5 років тому

      This track just uses higher beta frequency tones, as the main aim with this one is to help produce more intense focus. To help improve memory as well as maintain focus the track would need a mixture of beta and slower alpha wave tones. For that, try my Memorization Study Aid tracks -

      In response to what you previously wrote, about your concern over the fact that I could put subliminal messages in these without people knowing. Consider this. If that genuinely worked, why wouldn’t I advertise that I was doing that? People love an easy fix. If it genuinely worked, there are way, way more people who would want to use a track with subliminal audio, than those that would worry about what words were being said. I get asked to make subliminal audio but based on what research I’ve come across at this time, I don’t believe they work.
