Too complicated!! The goal here is to make it as simple as Possible!! Is more simple in this way: X^3 -125 =0 (X-5)(X^2 + 5X + 25) = 0 X= 5 or X^2 + 5X + 25 = 0 X = -5+-(25-100)^(1/2)/2 X = -5+-5i(3)^(1/2)/2 X = 5(-1+-(3)^(1:2))/2 Therefore that procedure presented is not justified at all.
