when you go to sleep unroll flower cellophane in a single sheet on all the windows, and also on the pop-up roof to protect the edges, it creates a cavity that prevents the formation of ice, I have been using this system for decades on my winter trips with my monocoque, it also reduces the tapping of snow on the windows. if dozens of cm of snow are expected, I put two more sheets of cellophane on the entrance tracks in the parking lot, so that the next morning I can be sure that the new snow has not stuck to the old, and therefore it is easier to remove it. The great thickness allows you to reuse them dozens of times and they do not take up space or weigh! ciao da Roma, Italia!!!

Without any inner or outer insulated cover, upstairs just has to be freezing. Yes, just like a tent, but there are some excellent winter covers....well for the VW California certainly, which can really help with the temp up in the roof bed. Good to see it being well enjoyed for sure.....we have a no shoes rule in our California ...in the living area not driving of course.
I'm glad I've seen this uve shown what van life is like I've often dreamed of doing it but even 4 a big Mercedes van like that looked as small as my Berlingo I'm better off doing what I'm doing now tents and Christmas and winter camping pods!! Thanks hope u had fun 😊😊

Wie lässt sich eine große Seitentür manuell öffnen und schließen???? Es muss eine große Seitentür mit einem Knopfmechanismus zum automatischen Öffnen und Schließen und eine manuell zu öffnende Luke auf dem Dach hergestellt werden. Koreaner und Japaner schalteten per Knopfdruck alles auf Automatikmodus. So wird Ihr Urlaub rundum komfortabel. Vielleicht sollte Mercedes für seine Kunden und Fans der Marke darüber nachdenken, damit sie Patrioten bleiben.

Tolles Auto, welches auch noch absolut alltagstauglich ist. Was mir aber auch in dem Video aufgefallen ist, und was mich auch nervt: Die Geräuschentwicklung der Standheizung..... Ist uns persönlich (absolut Subjektiv) in der Nacht einfach zu laut. Auch noch wichtig: bei großen Leuten die Sitzposition des Fahrersitzes, über 185 cm Körpergröße wird es langsam eng....
I 4-matic did fantastic in very snowy conditions. I wish the VW California would have something like that. As for heater noise, we didn't mind, but we are generally more noise tolerant. It did do a great job heating the van, it was always toasty warm.
