This video was my second trip out to Lake St. Clair of the year! It was the last week of April, and we ended up having a really solid day putting together a best 5 bag of nearly 23 pounds of Smallmouth Bass! I try to break down exactly how we caught our fish to hopefully help you put more fish in the boat!

Just watched it. What a banger, man.
You make some of the the best videos on LSC. The quality is insane.
Makes me want to quit making videos because mine suck by comparison 😂.
But I just started, I’m 39 and have 3 little kids. Hard to put in the effort it takes to make this kind of quality.
Seriously, man. Great stuff. I know you don’t have the numbers Dylan has but your stuff is as good if not better.
Keep it up! 🤨👍
Thank you, I really appreciate your comment! That’s awesome that you started up your own channel, keep grinding!!
Gotta love st clair!!!
You know it!
Nice chunkers!
Thank you!
Can’t wait to get out there on that smallie bite, nice work!👏🏻
Thank you!
What brand Ned jig head was that that bent out?
It was the heavier style that Zman makes
I was out there the same day in the same general area as you in this video.. found the secret sauce and ended up getting a 27 pound bag. Smallest one we caught was 4.6 on the day. Based on the landscape we were north of you by about a mile and deeper water.
That’s crazy man!! Sounds like an epic day!
Hopefully they all went back considering they’re out of season…
We fished it last weekend and this caught multiple 5 pound fish love that lake.. It’s hasn’t been as good as in the past this year. I believe it’s the weather it keeps getting cold
Yeah, I agree it's been a little off this year for sure
Lived in Michigan for 50 years, renovated many homes on the lakeside but haven’t gotten a chance to fish it. Thanks for taking me with you through this vid. Letting those ads run bud!
That's crazy man, thank you for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed!
With a tube should I just drag it on the bottom slowly and bounce it? Same with a swim bait too? Also I don’t have a fish finder so what should I look for. Thanks
For the most part I would drag your baits on the bottom. You can definitely throw in some bounces and twitches, but you want to keep that bait on the bottom for most of your retrieve. I would try to look for rocks, those areas typically hold many bass this time of year.
How about carp or king salmon? Are they caught in this lake?
Not that I’m aware of! Mainly smallmouth, walleye, and perch
3:14 when your line jumps all the way to the reel you know it’s a gooden
Haha you know it!
We launched out of 8 Mile 2 springs ago and had issues with the butthole running the ramp. Most the time we do Selfridge but I wanna launch closer to the area you were fishing. It’s a long boat ride from Anchor Bay to the Mile Rds lol. Where would you recommend?
I go out of 9 mile boat launch if I’m fishing the mile roads. It’s a bit of a hike from the ramp to the parking lot but it’s real close to the mile roads
There’s no ramp at 8 mile…
Hoping to head up there around May of next year. If we launch out of nine mile, how far should we have to go to find a decent spot? Also, would ned rigs be a go-to for that time of year?
There isn’t a certain distance out where all the fish are. I’d just recommend going out and using your electronics to find rocks and then fishing in and around those rocks! Ned rigs would be a great bait for that time of year!
Find the packs of boats. You won’t even have to fire up the motor to get on them
Ok so where is the shell bar? I need to know……..
Lol it’s a special place that’s for sure! In about 12 fow on the mile roads!
Just got here today. Fishing tomr. Assuming u were up by metro or north. We were thinking of going to the moot. Any suggestions? Thx. Enjoy ur page!
We were fishing the mile roads! Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Reel Obsession good day today. Over 50
@@scotlewis4464 thanks awesome!! Any tanks?
I know exactly what to do now can I have you waypoints
Lol just sent you them
@@reelobsession My wife and I have never tried LSC. Any help on where we should try?
@@todd3737 I would recommend fishing around the Mile Roads this time of year!
@@reelobsession We are older but would love to try it. Is that an area that is rough water conditions?
@@todd3737 it depends on the wind speed and direction. But yes, it definitely can get bumpy out there
TEAM MONTCALM MARINE. NICE JOB
Haha thank you sir!
Fish weighed 5.86… only right your probably in the 586 area code
Lol never even thought of that!
St. Clair must be a great fishing lake. Most of the Michigan anglers channels fish there a lot. I have never been able to make my way over there.
Yeah St Clair is unbelievable!
One of the best lakes in the world. No exaggeration.
You guys love it now you should’ve seen how it was back in the early 90’s…
@@kevingunnery5470 I can only imagine!
@@reelobsession I’m in my 50’s and when we were teenagers we use to fish between crescent sail yacht club which is just south of moross and the gpyc and would catch 10 a day like that lunker 5.6lb you caught but with all of the big bass tournaments they’ve had on LSC it’s not as good as it use to be
