Quote of the Day: “SHAKE THIS IN POST, BEN!”
I was not psychologically prepared for so much of this to be not made up.
You underestimate the power of science.
Love the chemistry. I totally ship them. I hope it takes off between them. I'm glad girlie is getting the space from Tina she needs.
shut up i find me funny
you're right and you should say it
Why did the guy character make me feel some type of way 😭 love u anna this was great
The reason NASA sent soo many tampons is because they did not know what would happen if a women got their period in zero gravity or exposed for a prolonged period of time in space, so they sent several extra just in case. Although I am all for making fun of NASA for all the other sruff, but this one decision actually had some valid points.
You don't need 100 tampons tho, just sayin'. Additionally, aren't Pads better because they can handle a heavier flow?
And because you can't exactly just go quickly to a pharmacy to grab one more package if you need it, cause the closest one would be at least 100km and a rocket ride away.
So if they ended up being on a mission longer for some reason, they had to have more than needed - and tampons aren't exactly heavy or big, so they don't use that much space or additional fuel.
@@neilcognito in 0G? Nah, I don't think a pad would be even usable, let alone comfortable without gravity. It's way better to have the blood be absorbed before it's out of the body, you don't want to have flying blood droplets x.x
If I didn't read this comment, I would have been thinking NASA was just dumb 💀
@@_sogar Yeah, NASA was dumb. Sally Ride, in case you were wondering. They didn't send 100 tampons into space, probably because her response would have been "What? No, you knuckleheads!"
I did know the tampon thing. I did not know the makeup one. Like... you're in space - there's no better excause to not having to look put together
I love that she educates us in such an entertaining way
When he started bouncing around I thought.. “yea, that’s us.. we do that”
That’s one small step for women, one giant leap for gender balance in astronaut workspace.
Look up the song 100 tampons by Marcia Belsky
2:48 I'd kind of be amused to be sent to space with my cosmetics like I wouldn't even really mind.... Like, thank you, ya know?
You are the women of my dream !! i love you Anna !!! A french lover
Good, clean family fun Cotton 😎🙌
“And in a museum” …. Where?
Help me Anna Akana, you're my only hope!
Thanks girlie
Is Commander Frederick test-wearing nail polish for NASA makeup kit v2.0?
2:50 Wow, those lights are beautiful~! But what areeee theeeeeeey~? >.
WOW.1 LOVES YOU ANNA&THIS WAS FUNNY2.I REALLY DIDNT KNOW THIS WAS VERY REAL&3.LOVES YOUR VIDS.
RIP T
OMG the makeup kit is real.
Lmao this was so fun to watch 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤
why is this so funny but so sad at the same time?..
because it is true u.u
@@BrimstoneMoth yup TnT
I don't get it, why is it sad? A commnet above explained how sending much more tampons makes a lot a sense, and regarding the makeup, astronats are allowed to bring personal items, and sometimes is a requirement for psycological reasons, so what is the big deal? Are you all mentally ok?
Is it bad that I want those rollers 😂❤
can I put the secrets of The Universe in the gated content of my Squarespace?
I wanna see the bloopers for this :)
What about the space gays!? WE ARE ELEVATED.
...cmon like whats that gotta do with space and this lol
This is one small step for women... One giant leap for girlie kind.
30 seconds to marscara?
Yeah... because that's what we need... makeup to clog up the filters and perfume to stink up the entire station for eternity...
LMAO!
Now I'm curious to know how many tampons have been sent to space and how many have been brought back to earth.
It's true, they sent 100 tampons when only 1 woman was going to space.
@@lemonsoda4225 but here has been several women in space
Kellie Geradi approved 😂
Hey Anna Akana how are you?
Lol😂
I get the joke about the amount of tampons but what is so wrong about the make up kit? I mean she can decide not to use it but not allowing her to bring any means you're forcing her to appear socially in a way that she may not want. Male astronauts are provided with the means to shave their facial hair. Some do, some don't.
🌌🚀
I mean, to be fair, if they make decisions for NASA, stereotypically they don't have much experience with women...
Your government tax dollars at work🙄
keep paying your government taxes so that our girlie can fund her new looks 😍
I think the make-up is sweet of them. Most women wear some every day, and I'm sure many wouldn't want to go without if they could help it.
Go into space no biggie. Living with a woman for an extended period of time. kind of intimidating.🙂💦
It's like lip gloss.
I'm here for the bikini pics.
Didn't SNL or MadTV already do this?
Maybe it was SHE-tv.
Does anyone remember SHE-tv?
Tina made a good choice.
I mean, who wants to look ugly in space….
There have been women astronauts... but she's the first GIRLIE astronaut. 👌
you literally just said theres been others. shes not the first if theres been others
the joke ->
your head ->
Let me tell you all about when I met this QUEEN, Anna Akana. She was doing a meet and greet at the end of one of her shows (the show itself was HILARIOUS, by the way), and this woman was so kind and gracious. Every fan she met, she treated like they were the only other people in the room with her, giving them all the space and time they wanted to talk. Even some people who came to open up to her about deeply emotional things, she gave them genuinely good advice, loving words of encouragement, and all the assurance that their emotions were safe to express. It was so beautiful to see someone really, genuinely be a great person that's there for her fans. If I wasn't already a fan of hers before, I would be now. Thank you so much, Anna. I'm already looking forward to your next tour!
History of the World According to Anna Akana needs to be its own series
This was so delightful and made me giggle 😂
A bit late, but still great. Love your work and I really wish I could go to one of your shows, but I’m just not able to. Hopefully HBO picks it up like you said they might, and i could watch it there.
Too perfect.
Her dude impression is so spot on 😂 "I think it's like, lip gloss. Uh huhu" - we all kinda sound like that and we all sound a little like Butt-Head
The part "in a museum" got me thinking, wow we really want to embarrass ourselves when future people learn history 😅
Very realistic. We all know what astronaut Serena Maria Auñón-Chancellor did on the International Space Station due to toilet problems.
One small step for woman, one giant leap for girliekind
Thank you Valentina Tereshkova.
THAT WAS VERY GOOD LOL!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Better safe than sorry, I guess😂😂😂
so adorable
USSR's first female cosmonaut was still funnier😅
Omg it’s Revlon
You are HILARIOUS
New weird pretty stuff in the background!!!
Yes to bikini pictures! Lol!
LOL!
So, your 5 minutes is up…identity politics and virtue signaling only gets you so far
Commander kinda cute. 👀 Posted on my birthday too!
You’re awesome!
lol ;P
I did not know about the kit! Lol
❤️🔥
Crying 😭
Props to being prepared.
Ana is not joking in those rollers
Finally.
I went from "LMFAO" to "wait, that happened?"
😂
Could you help save my life?
i love the Ron White joke, women with PMS in space.. now the crazy bitches can flyyyy!
The background is so chic.
Sally Ride, in case any of you were wondering.
Lol so funny! Thanks.
i truly adore all your videos, they are amazing ❤
No one is holding anyone back based on race and sex. It's math you know It's Population Percentages oh and Individual Abelites along with personal Interest.
So uh... How many women are qualified to go into space? Of those, how many are interested? Also, does zero-g affect women differently? Especially regarding menstrual cycles, blood drainage and lack of proper hygiene gear/water?
No sunlight in space? :)
