Grotpar I somewhat agree. However the drum tempos are definitely more black metal than thrash. It's the guitar tempos that tend towards thrash.

I don't really like the sound of that kick on this record, but as always with Frost his overall drumming makes up for that
@@magalipearl7 I meant, Frost in general is still one of my favourite drummers, to say the least. It's only the sound of the kick that I like a bit less on this record. I'm not full of shit, my English is not 100% fluent but I think it is you who didn't understood what I meant here ;)

I've always preferred the typical black metal style of the second wave...you know, raw production, entrancing, tremolo picked riffs, but lately i'm getting more and more into thrashy, bombastic black metal. This track is cool
check out WITCHAVEN from the usa. also a very good combination of raw black and groovy thrash metal
I like that they did not make changes to their appearances, for me they have long been a band in which one cah define any member at instant: A Guy with Wolverine Whiskers, A Cloaked One, KVLT Rapunzel (this time with awesome moustache, too!) and That-Possessed-By-Satan-Guy-On-Drums.

Its just very aggressive black with some melodic elements and a good production. If anything it borrows from death and thrash - but that’s just my opinion and we don’t need to argue about it :)

Usually I don't like Black Metal because it doesn't have much aspects of thrash/death which is what I like and Melodeth etc. But this literally just sounds like death metal, something like Deicide \m/

This is in no way like Immortal, this is blackened Thrash with Drumm Triggers. Immortal is way better! Also Abbaths vocals are pure and not reverbed. And this has no Grimness at all.

First taste of 1349. I quite like this song. PROS: The riffage is pretty cool and consistent, the more melodic parts are a nice touch, the double-bass stamina is impressive.
CONS: The riffage has a tendency to get repetitive, inaudible bass, and the blast-beats seem a bit unnecessary.
Still enough to spark my interest. I'll keep listening
