    Hey Ratcuz.. what springy said below.."some bikes have tiny minute cone filters actually in the fuel line junction as the line enters the carb fuel rail" Take the clear fuel pipe off the 'T' piece between the carbs, and look where it connects.. it's a tiny fuel screen and they're so small they block really quick... Failing that, with the clear fuel hose fitted, squirt a big flush of carb cleaner down it, then blow down the hose to force it through, and do it with the float bowl drain screws out and the carb cleaner should flow all the way through..! Good luck hun, great to see Willy again, tell the old fellah he's looking buff..!

      Great advice as always thanks Rat Cuz and much appreciated. Don't worry after listening to the bike again, on video, it gave me a few clues. I'm still working hard on it but making good progress. Found a few minor faults. It looks like it's been a combination of things and you were right last time with compression. Nothing serious and an easy fix. Willy says Hi to you both. Take care, big hugs and lots of love :) x

    The carbs run while spray is applied so their sitting is OK. Pull that fuel rail and make sure fuel is getting all the way to the carbs, that is the only place they can be starving.

    If you open the float bowl bottom screw the fuel should flow all the time. If not some passage is totally blocked. Yamaha manual also shows that you can attach clear fuel line to float bowl bottom and turn it upwards. It the n shows what is the fuel level inside the float bowl. As the clear line fuel level is the same as inside the carb.

    • @Ratqueenbikes
      @Ratqueenbikes  3 роки тому

      Hi and I completely get what your saying. Thanks and I much appreciate you trying to help however the bowls have been checked and are working well. There could be another blockage? I missed the fuel screws when I cleaned the carbs. Been working hard this week and found a few other minor faults :)

    You've taken all the other factors out; the vent tube, and petcock away from the equation and its still acting a fool. Goddness gracious.

    I can think of a couple of things to check. Make sure your vacuum lines going from the tank to the carbs are in all hooked up and there are no cracks in them, one of mine came undone once and it drove me crazy chasing the starting issue. next check the the diaphragm in the petcock, same thing its vacuum actuated and wont let fuel out until it feels a vacuum. the last thing is to check is the hardest but the intake from the carbs to the cylinder can go bad and the gaskets between the cylinder and the intake shrink and go back letting in to much air. hope you figure it out.

    • @Ratqueenbikes
      @Ratqueenbikes  3 роки тому +1

      Hi and fantastic advice much appreciated thanks. Yes we had a bad seal on the vacuum pipe after removing the petrol tank which didn't help. Since filming I've also found some other small issues and your definitely on the right track however thankfully it all seems to be minor faults. There's a few things! I'm sure you'll enjoy the next vid! :)

    Hey lil' Sis , so frustrating . Can only think the main fuel line (rail) on the carbs is blocked .. That or all four floats are too low but I'm sure you set the float heights when you stripped them .
    Any how the answers in those carbs I'm sure..
    some bikes have tiny minute cone filters actually in the fuel line junction as the line enters the carb fuel rail .
    Again I'm sure you cleared all those places..
    Wish you all the best and really just want to give you a big hug from the Springy clan ..
    Peace and love lil' Sis .👍🏻☮❤

      @Ratqueenbikes  3 роки тому +1

      Lovely comment, thanks for your hug and thanks for trying to help big bro. The floats are fine but I recon there's something else wrong with the carbs? Since filming I've also found some other small minor issues and I'm making good progress. I think it's been a combination of a few things! Love, peace and big hugs back 👍😀🍻

    Hi, nearly there man, have you checked the diaphragms on the carbs, is there a slight smell of petrol when you go into the shed, miniscule perforations?

    The suction from it's bathrooms, is not all that it should be,
    & if y'floating ducks, are low me duck, it's really hard to see,
    how that juice, can flood the sluice, against all gravity,
    when it's laying low, with far to go, in a tube stood verti-clee.
    Suspecteth I an air leak, are some gallery's left unplugged?
    Do the jet seats find their washers, out of order like some thug?
    Is a vacuum pipe to the bathrooms, really the one you need?
    'cos they like outside pressure, it really helps them feed . . .
    Now, should I write this carp forever, or withdraw & wish you luck?
    For Squint needs serious nursing, as only his problems suck . . .
    Y'all : ) x
