I have Blackstar HT amp which I hate because I can't get a good tone out of it. With this plugin I get another chance to tweak a Blackstar albeit in amp sim format. I will run it through my favorite IR and hopefully get a better tone than my real amp. Another note. I like the interface of this plugin. Clean, clear, and beautiful. Very similar to NDSP or Amplitube.
Actually in real life most of the times i did not liked how blackstar amps sound (too muddy, not enough gain) but maybe ive grown up or something but this plugin sounds/feels like a real amp and its really good its on the level of neural or stl tones or even better in my opinion. Maybe im ready to sell my kemper XD
Ciao, Amico! A very important question when evaluating if the plugin is close or not to the St. James amp emulates: Do you have or have you tried the St. James amps? Does this plugin sound the same in a studio environment as the amps connected through their DI to the computer? Are they close? Are they not close? Thanks a lot for your opinion and congrats on your review and channel. 😉
Did you see the very beginning of the video? that answers to your first question :) Plugins sounds better than the DI of the real amp...real amp should always being used with microphones :)
Impulse Responses are basically the Cabinets, an IR is a small.wav file that includes an impulse, that impulse is an equalization that is captured by the mic in fron of the speaker of the cabinet, so basically the impulse is a custom response of a cabinet and should be placed as a cabinet; IRs usually sounds like a real miked up cab, so better than stock virtual modeled cabinets.
@@MadSteex aaah so that .wav file makes the overall sound more dynamic? Thanks for the lengthy response 🤘🏻 Also can you actually use other pedal/effects with this plugin?
@@user-bb7te4yo3y Actually that .wav file is the 85% of the sound, not really of the dynamic, more for the overall sound. At this time there is no other implementation on the stomp boxes. If you want to listen some of my custom IR here I show you a pack: ua-cam.com/video/VaPSZ4TWNH4/v-deo.htmlsi=AIrfxvS6Ah3pywFg
@@MadSteex absolutely, but I must admit I am a little perplexed as to why on earth these con's are a thing. Why would they not add IR Loader? Why would no midi be a good idea to begin with? lol... perplexing.
I don't like Blackstar amps.Wrong.I don't like how the first Blackstar high end was killing my ears. With any cab.But this plugin sounds like something what is not killing my ears. That sounds good and different.Much better in my opinion that original amp sounds.I will never have an amp.But this plugin is a good one.But again price is from space.I will not get it for this price.
Man, this plugin and the effects sound great! I'll be checking this out!
Yep! Great plugin
This is a best sounding plug in I´ve heard in a long time.
Thanks for a great walkthrough video, the amp plugin sounds absolutely awesome!! Some real killer guitar tones there in your video, thanks for this!

@@MadSteex Oops, I didn't notice the answer ☺️☺️😁
Grazie mile! 😉
Does it have any warm edge of breakup sounds? Like the band Big Star?
Yep! The clean channel can be cranked to the breakip edge or boosted with drive.
3:29 wtf is impulse responses?
ALso what if you wanna use an octaver or fuzz pedal? ARe these included in the plugin?

thank you for the video, I was considering in buying it but when you say there is no MIDI, that is not an option for me.
I think that with an update could be all solved

@@MadSteex thanks man
I guess all of those things (Midi, IRs) can be solved if u use a DAW. Which I assume Blackstar is thinking, but yes a future update I guess.
Nice video! I've ways been curious, what's your name?
Fabio :)
What’s the CPU usage like compared to the neuraldsp plugins?
Less cpu hungry
hi i can not get free version active code, does it close?
Ask directly to the support
Bonjour
