My grail update: Rocking a lv67 orb sorc on Hell. Just killed Andy for the first time and got IK boots. Started the character the same night I watched MrLlamas first D2R grail video. I did the "level up a character and gamble a Gull dagger". Took 23minutes to get Druid to lv11 and another 10 minutes to transfer the gold and gamble Gull. Spent like 400k gold so a little less than average. Grail status: 470 items remaining. GL HF to all of you trying this challenge out!

You were talking about how any radical changes to the game would fundamentally change it into a different one, but that subtle changes to stuff like Tyrael's Might wouldn't be too bad. I agree, and would add that adding something as non-revolutionary as an end-game rift-like randomized zone would not fundamentally alter the endgame. It would also add a LOT more replayability than just playing the same locations over and over and over again.
As bandwidth consumption increases, latency can sometimes increase, which results in choppy streams (as packets arrive out of order). Things like speed test don't saturate the link with data when they conduct the speed test. These tests sends small chunks of data and measures multiplies the results to reflect theoretical speed so it makes you think you have access to more than you do. In short, its like the freeway's speed limit sign says 70mph but if there is a traffic jam, no one can actually go 70mph.

I've been doing an offline grail as well.. started at the beginning of the year. Found my soj off NM Andy and only took 5 runs.. I got pretty dang lucky there haha. Literally just ran D clone last night to get my anni. Ez peazy with the blizz sorc. Infernostride boots + dwarf gg against him. For gear I was using(specifically to get max fire res) sazabi helm(also has +1)..also laying of hands, double spirits, tal ammy, arkaine armor(for the +2), snowclash belt, and manald for mana Regen, if you don't reach the fcr breakpoint then fcr ring with fire res and Dex or Dex and life. The Dex comes into play with the weapon swap which just so happens to be the EDGE runeword bow which is not only useful and cheap to make for gambling, but ALSO has prevent monster heal and poison DMG so you know when you hit as well as the fact that it's a bow so you can stay a distance away! Just stack up fire res until you hit the 85(+10 max from inferno boots) and use that dwarf star for the fire absorb and life! Use some random fire res charms if needed as well as some life. Was a super easy battle, only took but a minute and I didn't have to tele around like crazy. Just run around in circles lobbing blizz lol. Currently I'm 40.4% completed. That anni is gonna help so much more than the soj, especially when I finish building up the pally for ubers. Pretty stoked with the stat rolls too, 17/13/10.

a Holy Grail account is an account with at least 1 of each set and unique item found, either shared among various characters or with proof obtained and then they can be disposed of, depending on the player. in Legacy you'd likely use it on a PlugY install, since legacy doesn't really share stash space, but in d2r players can share their stash on single player with unlimited characters. Sadly, on bnet you only get 20 so it's less feasible there to accomplish and save all of them without multiple accounts and all that hassle
That's funny, I found 2 shako in one day in D2R online, both from Andariel (gave 2nd to friend). And 2 months after that event, we both found 0 shakos (Harlequins ofc). In my offline holy grail I got shako pretty fast too, but still struggling to find ReapersToll (which also was a quick find online). No high runes though for me.

I opened a brand new Sorc at D2R release. Must have killed Andy Meph hundreds of times. I have COH and HOTO and CTA on this single player character. The only Shako I dropped so far was Eth....
@@Phatrix1337 for one, there is no way to fact check anyone here on UA-cam unless they post a video.. but the odds of a BER and OHM for the COH and CTA compared to only 1 Shako dropping..? I realize there are two different factors governing HR drop rates compared to RNG for MFing... people go years without finding HRs... Shakos are fairly common. Maybe bad luck but its not too bad if he has the runewords he mentioned already completed.

Ya know, if it had been 3 personal tabs and 1 shared tab, oodles more space. Makes way more sense, what the fuck are you transfering from character to character that takes up more than a tab's worth of space? I can happily transfer stuff a tab at a time.

Nope. It's the one item that does not show up in the vendor list after you sell them an item. It is lost forever...you just hope it spawns the d clone. In single player, 1 soj spawns him every time

Ridiculous luck to find arach shako occy this fast in solo self found. I started a grail at the same time to roughly play along and the only decent find for me is a Tal's armor, but without more Tal's pieces and more FCR in other slots its not even worth dropping stealth to use it. Couldn't even gamble a Gull dagger with 2 million gold. #StreamerServers (yes even in offline)
Mrllamasc , i love your streams but i do not agree with you , diablo 2 needs more changes the to just make “tyrael’s might a bit better” i am just so tired of playing the same content over and over , we need more end game stuff , new items maybe a new class , bigger inventory, new sets , new uniques , reworked skills , more item slots for merk . It’s been 20 years , do not be afraid of change !
Move on to a new game then. Even if they add more things to clear, the core of the game will be the same. It's just a new area to grind. Forcing change on something that essentially doesn't need it will just turn it into yet another shit game that fits the money > design philosophy of this time. Just like change isn't something to be afraid of, it has also been completely normal to move on from a game you're bored with. This game has worked for 20 years for a reason.

If they change d2 and ruin d2, there is no more d2 to return to. Go play torchlight while you wait for someone to come hold your hand.

I too dropped 2 Gul 2 Sur 1 Ber in my HC Playthrough, still no HOZ or Shako or Vipermagi.

okay, noob here. Does mf works even if you're not using gull dagger or you're switching your weapon back and forth?
Just swap weapons before the kill and your off hand will add to your total MF. But you must be holding the gull during the kill shot.

ive gambled 13 mill and no gull. i gave up and just use baba.
