Ahh I love that you’re playing sims!!
Some tips:
-you can change the colour of things by pressing R and clicking on the object you want to change
- the sofas can be in an L shape if you click the little cogs when selecting the sofa
- you can press k and directly click on objects and walls to delete them
- you can press g to remove the grid on the floor when building if you like
- you can go up and down floors by pressing the pg up/pg down key
- you can also rotate the objects freely by holding alt whilst holding down right click
- you can add a foundation to raise the building by clicking on a wall and dragging the big arrow up
- you can move your whole build by pressing y

You've got such a creative mind. I love the Sims but I always focus on the simulation aspect and "levelling" up my sim. I just don't have the creative juices to build stuff. It just ends up super blocky haha. Loving the series.

37:58 if you want to add floor or wallpaper to the whole room it’s so much quicker to just press the square sort of wall/ room icon next to the green lit up icon at the bottom next to all the items to select from.
that probably made absolutely no sense but aslong as you know there is a way of putting the floor and wallpaper on much quicker then you’ll find it eventually 😅😅🫶🏼
