My biggest complaint is the emoji changes. They all look so uncanny

I don't like how the weather doesn't change colors anymore when you go down. I hope it will be black at night during dark mode.
Regarding the quick panel gesture, we've have the two finger swipe down gesture to "fully expand" the panel since as far back as probably the Galaxy S3, or even before that.
This new addition just provides us with more even options, which is great.

After updating to One UI 6, I see that size of icons are way bigger than One UI 5.1. Did anyone notice it? Is there a way to make the icon size smaller?
You would have to go into the developer options

I'm not too fond of the One UI 6 battery stats. Idk why Android OEMs always mess it up when it comes to that. I liked the One UI 5.1 version when it shows Screen On-Time and Screen Off-Time. The new one got rid of it, and only shows the screen on time.
And it doesn't calculate the SOT based on last full charge unlike in 5.1
So awesome updates 😊

I honestly dont like that weather has constant blue color (it hurts my eyes when i open weather, on one ui 5.1 it went to black - which was perfect)
In general, im pretty excited for that update, but as many say - quick panel cannot be used with one hand anymore (and i have 6.4inch s21 fe, which is big in my hands)
Side note to that update: You had those features (eg. movable clock) already in goodlock app - but most dont know about its existence. you guys are missing alot there
Then you must've a really dwarf hands. I have a 6.1 inch A series and I can't even type on it without having to backspace everytime. And I think they'll fix it in the future One UI updates. Right now the 6.0 is not even global yet. Still having people waiting for it to come. The 6.1 is no exception

I see a lot of One UI 6.0 setting options have gone back to positions that were on previous versions of Android. Great video, as usual!
They should've left an option to use the normal expanded notifications panel from One UI 5.1 or just not touched it altogether.

Just something I observed. I have the s22ultra still on one ui 5. Pertaining to the quick toggle on one ui 5. There is a way to get the full quick toggle without swiping downwards twice.. All you gotta do is swipe downwards with 2 fingers at the top and synchronize the swipe downwards with 2 fingers and you'll get the full quick toggle menu rather than swiping downwards twice.
Anyone else familiar with that ?
the two finger swipe is a standard base android( AOSP) feature since Android Kitkat (4) or something like that. It's been there for ever, and it's not implemented well.
We finally got the update yesterday, one difference I found was the mobile date in the drop down section when you click on the word mobile it doesn't take you to the settings.
One update I would've liked to've seen was to the AOD and make it where you can make the clock bigger like on the lock screen
I agree! I don't want to have to put my glasses on in the middle of the night to see what time it is.

@@garagezero590my battery actually has been draining a lot quicker.. I have no idea why, yesterday from 11am till 3pm it dropped down to 20 percent, while today 11am till 11.30pm it held out a lot!! Nearly 12 hours hours!!
You can actually access to all quick toggles in one UI 5, just scroll down with two fingers at the same time

Hej Sakitech thanks for the video and the comparison between OneUI 6.1 and OneUI 5.1 the OneUI 6.1 looks very nice i have the S22 ultra and Samsung has confirmed wich Samsung Phones that will get Android 14 and OneUI 6.1. And also realease date so I seem to get Android 14 and OneUI 6.1 on November 20th I look forward to it take care Sakitech and have a very nice day.

Feel your pain. Just got the update yesterday and I'm on AT&T as well.
Samsung needs to bring back the option of using WiFi and data at the same time.. Which then gave us an extra boost in speed! I can't remember which Samsung phone allowed me to do that! But they took it Off at some point!

In my phone Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Hotspot cannot be used at a time. 😢
They removed stuff I actually used and enjoyed and put in crap I don't have a use for or need.

I absolutely hate that i have to download few apps to change settings for example icon size, back tap etc... i wish it was a option baked into the settings to do them, they could have called it Galaxy Ultimate Settings or something like that

I'll be glad when Samsung brings back the vertical app drawer under the good lock app..I noticed that it is currently not ready & it wasn't available for 6.0 release.
what do you mean vertical app drawer it's there
@jakubr2769 the version at the time of when this post was made didn't support the vertical app drawer feature. I've yet to see it. Do you know which version number says it's available?
I think there is a loss of functionality in the Gallery App: the setting to disable using the Trash (directly delete) has dissappeared, which is a huge annoyance.
I'm with u on that specially with the s23 fe u can't disable the trash for sme unknown reason plus u can't change the time color on the normal home screen like u can with the s21
5:28 question, with good lock you can do it even with 5.1 but is the 6.0 version not need the good lock app to do it?
I actually really like the quick panel. I think it looks really good with the gray background that it has.

Finally got my S22 Ultra update this morning.. Love it!
I hate everything about one UI 6.0 it changed all my costume settings and the emoji looks terrible
I've hated everything about One UI since it's initial release!

I hates the update at first but after watching your video, I'm slowly starting to warm up to it, thank you! Do you know if it's possible to get rid of the "device control" and "media output" buttons from the quck panel? Not from the expanded one, but from the simple version (with just the top icons and the notifications). thank you so much!
Slide down when got to panel tap the 3 dots choose a quick panel layout then u will see media n device choose don't show

My fav change is that goodlock now lets me COMPLETELY remove the useless nav bar instead of just shrinking it. iPhone doesnt even let me shrink it.
How to remove the nav bar? Have checked in NavStar but can't find the option to completely remove it
In system settings, search Navigation Bar, look for the Gesture Hint toggle. That completely removes the white bar.
@max_mwangi turn on gesturs in the navigation settings of the phone, and you can use one-handed operation in good lock to set more gesture swipe commands.
All I can see is the major battery drop on 6.0.

Why do your status bar notification icons (next to the time) have color? I noticed that some of them have color but my phone doesn't have that feature.

No it is there I did it fir many folders
@@nikhilPUD01 Maybe if you're using an external theme app, but on the original samsung U.I.- no you can't color code the folders anymore.
The pull down notification and quick access panel looks more like Apple's pull down menu.

It's all personal preference. I like it better, but some don't. Don't see an issue with legibility.
I prefer the older Roboto mixed with the Sharp Sans for the lock screen and the quick panel clock and the weather app
New one is better
It's too chonky. Especially the clock screen. It just makes it look like everything is in bold. I find it extremely annoying. Tempted to disable the clock and just use my watch. At least the font on that is nice and pleasing to the eyes. Not a huge fan of the font changes with this update. The fonts in general just take up too much space.

16:18 Do you know a different way to select video mode, other than to tap the "video" text ?
Problem is I need glasses to read and when I want to quickly start recording, it's too late, the moment is gone, very annoying.
It used to be what is now the "switch camera" button (useless to me, just swipe up) next to the capture button on my old S7.
The button was easy to see, hard to miss.

Because its for more practical things, not many people game on their phones so therefore it's not as important
Love the One UI interface that we've been using on Samsung another reason why I prefer Samsung over Apple and their dynamic island.

If the whole 1UI is out I am not sure why mine keeps coming up beta vision when I restart the phone.
s22 ultra here, still no update....
I run all my apps in dark mode. The new update made the pop-up app border white. The old version The pop-up border is dark gray looked better if I could change the color
