This is definitely one of favorites by John.
John frusciante is one of my favorite artists/guitarist of all time... I'm so glad he got clean and sober. You can see it in his lyrics he found a God, or a positive, good sprituality of some sort. I went through heroin and, opiate addiction as well and found a spirituality of my understanding, (God). I know exactly how he feels in his songs and can related to almost any song he has ever written. John is amazing and there will never be another person like him.

I see what you're saying and "Ah Yom" definitely gives off an Empyrean vibe. I'm guessing it's a personal thing, where the other songs fit into the story that he was trying to tell with the music. He knows the meanings behind his songs and for an unknown, but particular, reason he didn't put these songs on the album.

So i just broke up with my girlfreind of 7 months, which is a quite a bit for someone whose only 15. i should be sad and depresssed because she is such a huge portion of my life. but i turned this song on. and i feel so euphoric, like i am The Empyrean. I think we can all agree, that this man is the greatest musician ever.

@JohnFrusciante70 I ordered the album as soon as it was released, here in Norway, and both "Today" and Ah Yom" were on the record, so I'm pleased. Didn't know those two were meant to be bonus tracks until a few months ago :P

Luciana Fernandez “running your mouth” in English means to talk too much, going on and on, usually saying nothing important.
Because music is a language in it's own way, you don't have to understand the lyrics to get some meaning out of it.

No, my mom, a die hard Beattles fan said, (with a bit a snort) "John Lennon? No Way, Try George Harrison." when I said "hey he looks like John Lennon". She also says there's further similarities in personalities and style when I told her about Frusciante..Lennon was spiritual but he did have an ego and was very "out there" with his beliefs and felt strongly that his role on earth was to influence other's beliefs. This isn't bad, but it's not Frusciante. Harrison was more to himself like JF.
