The WWII era jack knife is really similar to one of mine: I inherited it from my grandfather who brought it home from the South Pacific in WWII: it’s a US Navy medical kit circa 1942, made by Camillus. I have the accompanying scalpel too. Yours is in better condition than mine was when I got it! It was rusted shut. I’m in the process of restoring it.
I think you did very well...I would have made that deal all day long ...the Utica knife would probably bring close to what you gave for them all. Thank you for sharing brother 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I'm pretty sure that vet knife is an "equestrian knife" meant for horse care - the hook thing is for clearing stones from shoes and hooves, not cutting. While I'm at it - most sources seem to list the blade style as "Spey" and the surgery as "Spay". I think its more a rounded point so you don't poke through something. For example, most trapper folding knives have a pointed blade for disputing animals on the trap line, and a rounded one for skinning without putting extra holes in the pelt.
I bet the camp knife is a Kingston. They were often stamped USA with no makers mark. I think the Schrade Walden has French Ivory covers. The Utica is nice.
If you were going for interesting you definitely got that! I'm sure the vets knife was equestrian too, I've seen many equestrian knives from Victorian British made one's to modern and they look like that, a right angle at the end. I'm lead to believe Buck will replace that blade if you send it to them.
@@oldpocketknives168 well it's certainly an unusual blade shape but it looks kind of like some kind of a modified sheep's foot blade but I have actually never seen one in 50 years of collecting knives
I just found your channel. I think the Camp Buddy is an Imperial. I have a Boy Scout that's similar. I just acquired a Bruckmann pearl handle knife with no scratches, no rust . It does have a manicure blade. I can tell it's been used. I done a little reaserch. Your little pearl handle knife may be your oldest of the bunch.
Welcome! Thanks for checking out my videos...I will be posting more soon. It sounds like you have some nice knives there...Bruckmann is great old German maker.
Yes a good deal . You sound pretty knowledgeable about knives so you get a sub for that . I think I need to lower the price on my lot that I have up on Ebay . 35 views no watchers .
@@oldpocketknives168 Yeah I will lower it . Going to lose on that lot but I have so much stuff to list it's ridiculous . Other things will more than make up the difference .
I am envious, the UK eBay doesn’t have many knives on it. I haven’t tried shopping on the US eBay yet but it’s worth a look. I have a good collection of modern slip joints but the older ones are very intriguing and my collection needs them. Stay sharp and safe my friend 👍.

Very cool, especially that it has the family history. Much more "valuable" than mine...good luck restoring your knife.
Very nice those are some great finds! Great knives!
Thanks... some interesting knives, I agree!
Great score! I remember seeing that on eBay. Glad to see you got it! No, I didn't bid against you! 🤩
Man I love old knives. If I were rich I would have a knife and gun museum.

It is and you're right about the hoof pick.

Good call, I believe Kingston made some of these. Thanks for the info...
Some are pretty cool Schrade , Buck and old Imperial. Not bad for $55.00
Thanks, not bad indeed!
You got a Great Deal on them. If you want your money back let me know & I'll take them off of your hands. All of the repairs are Easy.
Thanks for watching! Pretty decent bunch...
The Schrade was my favorite. Also like the Utica, although it looks like it had a poor restoration. Utica are so hard to find in Midwest.

Good call with the Buck replacement policy... I will explore that option. Thanks for watching!
I hate to 😢😮Correct anybody about what they do for a living but that veterinaries knife was not a spay blade.
I am always open to corrections... I certainly make mistakes. What type of blade is it?

Brilliant video mate! 👊

I would love to clean those knives and sand and polish the knives. Nice assortment of vintage knives with history lessons. Thanks
Thanks for watching! They could use a cleaning...
oil the joints before you try to open the blades. the old rusty knife with bone covers should clean up nicely. good luck nice selection of knives
Thanks for the advice!
The Imperial is the standout for me.
I am keeping that one in the collection... I like it too.
Congratulations. Great bargain.

You might be able to send the Buck knife to them and have blade replaced.
Good call...I will check that option out.
you can but it takes forever. I mailed mine off a little over 3 months ago and haven't received it back yet, though they confirmed they have it
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
