40% margin is different to 40% markup. That’s the whole video margin vs markup
Also give some examples in various scenarios :
1. Franchisee is profitable, Store is not profitable, Co is profitable.
2. Franchisee is in loss, Store is profitable, Co is profitable
3. Franchisee is profitable, Store is profitable, Co is in loss
4. Franchisee is in loss, store is profitable, Co is in loss
