- Jackson Product Specialist Brian McDonald visited The Music Zoo and sat down to talk about the Randy Rhoads RR1.5, a Music Zoo Exclusive guitar we designed in collaboration with the Jackson Custom Shop.
Beautiful...
it makes me hape every time i see this guitar i wanna play it!!!!
Actually in the last interview Rhoads did with Guitar World he indicated the next Concorde he was waiting on was going to have a Floyd Rose.
The guitar that Randy was waiting on right before he passed away was completed and has recently resurfaced. It was completed as a hardtail with an ABR style bridge. Only slightly different from the Black RR2 hardtail that he got made after the Concorde.
Sick guitar!!!! I think Randy Rhoads would approve
yes!
I fucking want a Polk dot king v with mahgony body and only 1pickup in the bridge..... Why haven't they made that for production? They'd sell a million of them
@Tropicsca He had many guitars, he had a Strat, a Gibson SG (which never stayed in tune), an acoustic guitar (don't know what make), but they are not widely seen, because the most prominent photos and videos show him with his cream colored Les Paul, his custom built Karl Sandoval flying V (polka dot guitar), and his two custom built Jacksons.
i think it would be cool to see a modern rhoads shape done in the maple body....
Jackson would be the best guitars if they made their headstocks more like a blade and less like a hockey stick which is why so many people turn to esp
@Tropicsca Yea, but not a Jackson with polka dots. He had a white Jackson with gold trim, and also a deep dark blue one, but none with polka dots. I assume he probably would have had one like this made for him though.
Karl Sandoval, look for in google...
do you have the weight?
@johnorlitta yes he did its in every crazy train video of his...go watch them again
if Rhoads wanted all Maple guitars then that means the polka dot V also has a maple neck but im going to say the body on the polka dot V is mahogany with a maple neck with rose wood finger board.
for 4500$ you can get it custom to your settings by the jackson custom shop and still have 1000$ spare
@Tropicsca Dude in the videos with Randy you're seeing the custom flying V copy that Karl Sandoval made for him. It's not a Jackson. Check out the headstocks on the two guitars, you'll see that they are two totally different guitars.
It's more like a Jackson RR0.75. It's got the paint from the first V (Sandoval Polka Dot), the god awful neck and brutally heavy body from the second V (the Concord) and the Floyd Rose from the RR1. No Thanks, I'll stick with the finished product, My RR1 :) Besides, they cost less than half as much.
We could really use to hear the sound of the guitar, rather than your voice for the whole duration, thanks for nothing
This would look badass with a white body and black polka dots too !
fuck...i would like to have de 4500 to buy it
Who build the original polka dot guitar? I'v seen Zakk with one with a floyd rose, did jackson built that one?
Karl Sandoval
Heavy guitar ,no.Polka dots,girlfriend yes!
@johnorlitta ahhhhh i thought that was jackson this whole time
@johnorlitta he had one of those without floyde rose
The black rr1 behind looks and plays nicer.. This polka dot one badly designed v guitar..
@metalmouth13 karl sandoval built randys original, GMW made zakks
@waliuxD custom shop anythings with the least basic shit and a paintjob now cost 6 grand now
A fool and his money are easily parted
stick to your crapiphone guitars pal.
Ace Gibson
I’ll stick with my stratablaster by bender
let me see the back of it
yeah Mick Ronson all the way ..
These dots... One of the ugliest covers ever.
