Cool! I like that you didn't opt for metal. I think most people interested in this guitar would know it's great for metal but you've shown the versatility of it with your style!
Yeeah thats right!!! i have the same guitar and i play funk, blues, metal, thrash metal, clean rock, some jazz, it's amazing how a guitar with h-s-h can be so versatile... i can say that it has a very good sound if you want to play blues..
@valdakus Yes there is a RG350MBK in existence, but it is not a current Ibanez model (at least not in the US). There are 4 RG350 models in the current lineup: RG350MYE (in video), RG350DXWH, RG350EXBK, and RG350MDXBK.
@1958GIBSONXPLORER Yes! George's Music does have two locations in the Orlando market. Eric is a part of our Berwyn, PA team (and if you'll notice, he's playing the song from our hold music here).
@Dragondicer the Edge III works, man. it's just fragile. if you adjust the action without loosening the strings/back springs, then your knife edges will grind up and dull. also the knife edges need to always be lubricated, especially on this trem ( even sharp knife edges need to be lubed). i had serious trouble with my Edge III until i had the knife edges sharpened and lubed and then it worked fine. yes, it is low-quality, but it does still work if you know what you're doing.
@GeorgesMusic Alright, i actually just fixed the string problem with adjusting the truss rod which did wonders but I'm still getting that conflicting sound on the octaves down the fretboard near the bridge. I'm just gona try new strings unless you guys have any other recomendations, thanks again.
i second what JgHaverty said. there's no Edge III on this guitar anymore. it's replaced with a stripped-down version of the Edge Zero which has much better materials on it than the Edge III ever did. the Edge III did work if you knew what you were doing, but it is easy to screw up. the Edge Zero II doesn't have these problems.
People say those pickups suck, but they sound great to me... I was going to put in Dimarzios like my other guitars, but when I got this, no way. These pickups are just as good, better than my guitar with Duncans.
i saw a candy apple red finish for this somewhere..... it looked amazing...though i can't find it again..i heard they reissued the 550's a while back...but they are all discontinued on the sites i order from T.T lol.
@X5SmileX1X It is clearly a VERSATILE guitar, not a Metal guitar. The single coil pickup in the middle position and the 5-way selector switch give you a number of different tones. Great guitar for clean and dirty sounds. This guitar was developed back in the '80's during the Hair Metal era, which covered a wide variety of clean and dirty sounds.
Hey since the guitar is made of basswood will it doing neck dives and does it feel cheap because i have a bass guitar thats made of basswood and it feels like a toy.
does the maple neck is finish? thinking of buying this guitar, but since my hand sweats a lot, i scared the neck my get dirty easily.. any opinion on how to take care maple neck fingerboard?
i don't know if it's just me, but my RG350DX sounds SO thin using the bridge pickup, and the only positions that i like are 2 and 4, the split combination. i'm thinking of buying dimarzios or selling it and buying another guitar.
@GeorgesMusic Ummm i guess what i was mostly asking is would it sound good with all of the other styles, like blues. And can you get specific pickups that will make the acoustic sound good, like a red hot chili pepper sound, and will make it sound good with metal, or rock songs. I guess im asking if there are also pickups that are good for all styles? Sorry for all the questions, but i want to customize a guitar with the perfect sound for me, but i dont know much.
i was thinking about getting this guitar but im not sure about it. I currently play a schecter c-1 fixed bridge exotic star, would this be a good guitar to make the transition to a tremolo?
i got a question the thing is i wanna learn to play the guitar and i just wanna knw wats a good guitar for begginers but can still be used if i wanted to go pro or somethin thanks for the help
Hey, I recently purchased this guitar and I've got a few problems with it. First is whenever i play on the first fret, I get this really scratchy sound which i think is coming from the strings touching the fretboard. How do you fix this problem? Second, is that whenever i play up on the neck and practice some soloing, I get this muffled, conflicting kinda tone. It could probably use new strings so i'll give that a shot too but a swift response would be much appreciated. Thank you :D
@faridzayish RG550 are a professional quality instrument. In the Ibanez line they now call them Prestige and the numbers start at 1xxx and go up from there, (ie. 550 is now 1550) The 350 is not a pro quality guitar. Comparing them to more popular brands it would be like an American Standard Strat. where the 550 is like American Deluxe. The necks are different profile also. Most people love the Wizard I on the 550 over the Wizard II on the 350.
@jaydog664 according to Eric (the player in the video), it's got a nice, fast fretboard. This guitar only comes in Maple, so if you're looking to go Rosewood, you'll need to consider another model.
Hey!! Just a quick question, which one would you say is the best, the Ibnez Rg350 MYE or Ibanez ibanez rg 350 DX. I like to play 80s Metal and i´m also studying some fusion ideas for increasing my improvisation. Which one would you say it´s best?
@flobbity1022 when im playing mine i like to use the ernieball power slinkys i do mostly play rock but the strings are nice and sliky feeling and seem to actually boost the sustain
When you order this guitar from ANY retailer, make sure it is BRAND NEW STOCK and not from 2009-2010 or mid 2011. The Edge III is an inferior tremolo compared to what is on them now, which is the Edge-Zero II with ZPS and it's MILES above the Edge III in reliability, materials its made from (The Edge III is cheap pot metal), and tuning stability. The new ones even have the Post Anchors like the old MIJ Ibanez RG's. It turns the guitar from mediocre to a whammy shred machine with the Edge-Zero II
@TheMetalHeaD256 Thanx for your friendly advice, buddy! I've been playing guitar for 25 years, I've been restoring vintage electric guitars for 20 years and I've been playing Floyd Rose equipped guitars for 20 years also. I guess I perfectly know what I'm talking about. The quality of this low budget trem (Edge III) is very fluctuating. Your advice might work with some of the trems, but with most of them it doesn't. They're .... well ..... cheap, to put it nicely ;)
@Dragondicer ah, ok. sorry, i hate to tell people advice they already know. and yeah they are definitely very cheap. a lot of trems are made of pot metal but usually people aren't stupid enough to make the knife edges that way too... but Ibanez has done just that. that's the major flaw with em. i just figured that would fix most of em cause i've had other people agree with me. but yeah i'm sure a lot are beyond repair from the factory.
@flobbity1022 Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your instrument. Sounds like your guitar could use a setup by a professional. They will adjust the action and make sure that you're getting a consistent feel and intonation up and down the neck. George's Music takes the time to inspect and setup all our instruments before you take it home so that you won't have problems like this.
Although there's a misconception about Ibanez solid-body guitars being primarily for METAL; which they're clearly NOT, I agree that at least a minimal amount of METAL should be added to the review. After all, a vast majority of the electric guitar audience are METAL/Rock players...
@link1123333 Then this is the guitar for you! The Ibanez RG350MYE is a metal machine. Get it for $399.99 with free shipping at Georges Music Online.com
I like that he plays this guitar but never demonstrates it with distortion. I mean, 99.9% of people buying it will be using it with a ton of gain and such. Lol
@ibanez2damaxx and it will , these whammys aren´t very good, you´ll have to put a Gotoh bridge on it, i know it ´cause i had issues with this guitar, it´s a good guitar but you´re gonna have to upgrade it.
its so 80's i love it but now people like me into 80's metal have more choice the guitar companies are making guitar that apeal to teh retro fans which is cool now theres more guitar by ibanez, jackson and bc rich and i feel spoilt for choice :P
@JiveTurkey12MOFO Yes, this is a great metal guitar. The Ibanez RG tremolo series is built for metal. It's got a super fast fretboard with a thin neck. Check it out at georgesmusiconline [dot] com or give us a call at 800-544-7625 No complaints about the frets here!
It's made in Indonesia, just like the other models in the current RG350 line.
Cool! I like that you didn't opt for metal. I think most people interested in this guitar would know it's great for metal but you've shown the versatility of it with your style!
that is an awesome guitar.not only does it look good but also has a wide veriety of tones...simply in one word to describe this guitar. AMAZING
getting it for xmas, can't wait!!!
can't wait to buy this
Yeeah thats right!!! i have the same guitar and i play funk, blues, metal, thrash metal, clean rock, some jazz, it's amazing how a guitar with h-s-h can be so versatile... i can say that it has a very good sound if you want to play blues..

bought one on friday. couldn't be happier
@1958GIBSONXPLORER Yes! George's Music does have two locations in the Orlando market. Eric is a part of our Berwyn, PA team (and if you'll notice, he's playing the song from our hold music here).
At that point it's personal preference, play em both and witcherver one you like more is the one you get
@Dragondicer the Edge III works, man. it's just fragile. if you adjust the action without loosening the strings/back springs, then your knife edges will grind up and dull. also the knife edges need to always be lubricated, especially on this trem ( even sharp knife edges need to be lubed). i had serious trouble with my Edge III until i had the knife edges sharpened and lubed and then it worked fine. yes, it is low-quality, but it does still work if you know what you're doing.
I've ordered this guitar last saturday. I had to sell my old Ibanez K7 to get this one. It's great to get back to 6 strings!
I like it the way he doesn't use the whammy bar because it will probably go out of tune or something.
@GeorgesMusic Alright, i actually just fixed the string problem with adjusting the truss rod which did wonders but I'm still getting that conflicting sound on the octaves down the fretboard near the bridge. I'm just gona try new strings unless you guys have any other recomendations, thanks again.
The Edge-Zero II With ZPS was introduced in November 2011.
i second what JgHaverty said. there's no Edge III on this guitar anymore. it's replaced with a stripped-down version of the Edge Zero which has much better materials on it than the Edge III ever did. the Edge III did work if you knew what you were doing, but it is easy to screw up. the Edge Zero II doesn't have these problems.

@Addiesarkisian Yes, we do have this guitar in stock in our Orlando location (as of the date of this post). Stop by and check it out!
@MenAmongPoodles the RG350DX is the same guitar with shark tooth inlays and rosewood fret board. Roughly the same price.
i saw a candy apple red finish for this somewhere..... it looked amazing...though i can't find it again..i heard they reissued the 550's a while back...but they are all discontinued on the sites i order from T.T lol.
Many players find this suited well for hard rock and metal. Ibanez is known for guitars that respond well to the high gain environment.
@X5SmileX1X It is clearly a VERSATILE guitar, not a Metal guitar. The single coil pickup in the middle position and the 5-way selector switch give you a number of different tones. Great guitar for clean and dirty sounds. This guitar was developed back in the '80's during the Hair Metal era, which covered a wide variety of clean and dirty sounds.
yes it is!
No. This particular guitar is only available in Yellow. There are other similar RG350 guitars from Ibanez but they are Black or White.
They just recently released two more colours in the RG lineup, blue and red. but for some reason they're $150-$100 cheaper?
@marinal0c0v I can't say for certain which amp we used, but if my memory serves, it was either a Line6 Spider III or a Fender GDEC.
what do you think would be better this or a zakk wylde signature gibson les paul?
Hey since the guitar is made of basswood will it doing neck dives and does it feel cheap because i have a bass guitar thats made of basswood and it feels like a toy.
Does this guitar go out of tune as much as people say, because it has the Edge 3 i was wondering. im interested in buying one
does the maple neck is finish? thinking of buying this guitar, but since my hand sweats a lot, i scared the neck my get dirty easily.. any opinion on how to take care maple neck fingerboard?
what would be better this or should i save up more and get a gibson les paul ?
@GeorgesMusic Oh, Strange because mine is a Ibanez RG350MBK (BK so Black)...It's the same guitar with black instead of yellow
i don't know if it's just me, but my RG350DX sounds SO thin using the bridge pickup, and the only positions that i like are 2 and 4, the split combination.
i'm thinking of buying dimarzios or selling it and buying another guitar.

i was thinking about getting this guitar but im not sure about it. I currently play a schecter c-1 fixed bridge exotic star, would this be a good guitar to make the transition to a tremolo?
does it ffeel alot smaller than other full size guitars? is it just as good as the ibanez rg550?
i got a question the thing is i wanna learn to play the guitar and i just wanna knw wats a good guitar for begginers but can still be used if i wanted to go pro or somethin thanks for the help
what's the main diff between this 350m and the 350dx?
is this basically the same as the RG350 MDX?
Hey, I recently purchased this guitar and I've got a few problems with it. Should i get this or the 770? If i get this ill change the pickups, if i get the 770 i wont.

Wow, the tone is so... vibrant and tasty!
is that in orlando cause i went there and saw the same guitar
@metalhed0294 dude you can get COLORED STRINGS i didnt even know that, where do u get them
should i get this one or a jackson dxmg?
where was this guitar made?
Yep, Georges Music in WPB. Ask for Jeff ;)
oh they install the pickups before shipping??? I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!!!!!!!
is this the one in orlando???
Could anyone tell me the difference between the yellow edition and the regular edition, cause the price seems to differ quite a lot.
Hey!! Just a quick question, which one would you say is the best, the Ibnez Rg350 MYE or Ibanez ibanez rg 350 DX. I like to play 80s Metal and i´m also studying some fusion ideas for increasing my improvisation.
Which one would you say it´s best?
Which year is that ?
I have one and it was hell to say the least to put in tune, but once it was in tune it hasn't came out.
Yes.
Hey anyone got this guitar and could give an opinion if the infinity pick ups are better than the old v7's etc ?
i love to play funk and jazz and blues and metal. i kinda want a steve vai type of sounding guitar is this guitar whats good for me???
@flobbity1022 when im playing mine i like to use the ernieball power slinkys i do mostly play rock but the strings are nice and sliky feeling and seem to actually boost the sustain
no this man just understand what a brilliant tone this guitar has,it's not a modern metal guitar!
amazing playin, boss looking geetar, i want one
Is this guitar recomended.
how much cost it € ?
@ibanezownz100 you're looking for a guitar forum, not youtube. try harmony central or something of the sort.
yo.. the rg350m has a new color which is in ROADSTER GREEN METALLIC..
I've always thought the infinity pups sounded great for clean southern rock or country type tones.
I´ll get it for christmas ;D

New rg350's have edge zero 2 tremolo, which is way better then the edge 3. Give em a try.
@TheMetalHeaD256

can you play metal of this guitar
@metal101freak alright thanks man :P i might get both tho so yeah xD
@flobbity1022 ya, thats all it is mate. u just need to have it set up properly and ull be good...
I'm getting this guitar in 2 hours and 4 minutes!

Pickups aren't the best for hardcore, you should probably chuck Dimarzio super distortions/ tone zones in them.
@faridzayish
inlays - thats all
DXs have shark tooth inlays
want this so bad
@09phillt this instrument weighs in at around 7.75 pounds.

@link1123333 Two very different guitars with different feels and different sounds. What style of music do you play?
Well, Steve Vai does use Ibanez so maybe?
You should have played w/ distortion to show us
i hv this one but i dont really like the color-yellow!haha but what the heck if its an ibanez with a maple neck i'll make it sound like thunder
nice review i think you're a great kisser too! 😅
I never knew Jack Hodgins from Bones could play the guitar!!
@TheInvalidChronicles Going for $399 right now! Send me a message if you're interested and I'll get you hooked up. Thanks!
