On the thumbnail, Halle Berry said she thought she won Miss USA 1986 because Bob Barker called her name first. She competed at the 1986 Miss World Pageant and made the Top 7. From 1981 to 1991, the first runner-up at Miss USA competed at Miss World. 1990 first runner-up, South Carolina, Gina Tolleson won Miss World 1990.
They did some of those girls dirty. Lots of prettier girls left standing clapping. Would have replaced at least 5 of the top ten. Mai Shanley actually competed at Dream Girl USA against Missouri and a couple of other of the girls. Missouri made the top 10 at Miss America a couple of years prior so not sure why her score was so low.
The obvious winner was Miss Texas, who IMO should have also won Miss Universe instead of being first runner up!

I liked Georgia best, but also Ohio, Texas and California.
