Hey Everyone! We’ve got a long video today but generally the longer the video the better the earbud and that’s the case with the Tozo NC9! The value is insane! Chuck a comment on this post with what true wireless earbud you think has the best value for money right now. I reckon the Tozo here are pretty hard to beat but prove me wrong 😉 Edit: I found out through a comment that as soon as you take the earbuds out the case, noise cancelling is off but that’s the only way to have it off. So if you turn on ANC or transparency to it off you need to put the earbuds back in the case. But at least you can 🙌
Damn, with so much new models to choose it’s becoming harder and harder to wait for Soundpeats H1, though I still would wait for all their bells and whistles. Thanks for the video, nice as always.
Damn, when I thought I had found a niche for my UA-cam channel, here it comes... a fantastic kinda audio nerdy guy, just like me! :) Thank you SO MUCH for this channel and your reviews. Bravo, super valuable info in here. Will go for Taotronics' Soundliberty 94, half of the price and your review convinced me.
I really enjoy your reviews; they're detailed and you have unique qualifiers to score them. Plus you're a gymrat like me and know what the best buds are for working out! Cheers!
I own a set of Tozo NC9's. I've noticed that when you first pull them out of their case they power on with no noise cancelling or ambient mode. I think that's where they got the 8 hours of playtime from, although Im not completely sure because I haven't done any extensive testing. I have noticed that I have to turn those modes on myself and only when both buds are out of their case can they be activated. However once activated you can place one back in the case and the remaining bud will still be in the mode that you selected. I'm pretty sure you can only turn off the ANC or Ambient awareness by placing them back in their case and pulling them back out again or turning them both off manually and turning them back on again. Kind of a hassle but still an amazing value. Awesome videos brother! Keep up the great work!
i haven't tested them but one of my favorite buds the TOZO NC2s are the same way and despite loving the Ambient/Transparancy mode and ANC mode ... I like being able to leave them in normal mode to get better battery life. If there is one thing (apparently the NC9's are the same) i'd ask TOZO for upgraded NC2 models ... instead of "Normal mode" then a toggle of ANC or Trans mode .... leave it like that but cycle back to the normal mode too ... really NC2 wise that is my ONLY issue/comment to TOZO
You get close to 8 hrs with anc off and at 50% volume with anc on you get a little over 6 hour’s. And if you want anc and ambient off you just put them in the case for a minute and take them out and both functions will be off great all around reviewing bro I just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for all the reviews.. A couple of months following the channel.. And i love every review.. I'm always looking for the best microphone on the earbuds.. I like the soundpeats a lot.. But on the microphone I love these.. Thank you so much and keep us up to date with everything in the earbuds.. Thank you once again!
I believe that NC is off when first removed from the case by default, so in effect NC has 3x settings - off - on - TM, to turn off again put back in the case or use the app
You very thorough in your review!!! I got what I came for and then a lot more!!! quick question though, what do you think about the jlab epic's compared to these? have you done reviews on them?
Hey, good reviews with the focus on sound. How would you rate them for podcast listening? Sometimes spoken word just doesn't sound as good, especially on a bass-boosted driver. Thanks!
Great review man!! Bravo. I have two questions, What happens with the noise cancelling when there is wind (I'm thinking to use them for biking)? They work better whit NAC off you reckon? When you use them in for example a train do you hear noises at all (mode NAC on)? cheers mand and thanks!
For ANC when cycling you’ll need a lie that has wind noise reduction. The only pair I know that has it is the Sony wf-1000xm3 and the Sony sp800n might have it as wel
@@pickyaudio thanks for you quick answer. But my question is if I use them with NC or without, would be the same as standards earbuds? Is it possible to use them with aux cable? Cheers mate
dioni82 i think they’re pretty great, I had the t6’s and I’d say the audio is more clear but that can most due to the noise cancelation+seal from the earbud. Both have solid audio for sure! I like them so far, the case is pretty small too fite right in my pocket with no problem. When you put them on you need to twist it until it fits properly in ear. I recommend them. Noise cancelation does the job but higher frequencies still come through but it’s great for laptop fans and other background noises
Hi, thanks for the review! I have 1 question though. Do you hear any (white) noise coming from the earphones themselves when you use them on a very low sound level or when no music is playing?
this may be different than the NC2s with stem design but an issue i had was with the right tips and ANC on with say the pictures showing the stems facing say my chin .... I had no ANC to speak of ... just passive NC ... after taking them out to scratch my ear i put them back in with the stems say facing my upper lip or low nose (yes that looks really funny/bad) ... THEN i noticed the ANC was totally noticable ... my little back Honeywell fan was ALMOST silenced on it's low setting and it was really close to me.
Hey quick question, how good is the transparency mode in these? I'm thinking about getting a pair to use while biking, but I need to know that I can really hear things around me.
Hello! I have a question, Can i use it just for noise cancellation? I want it to work in the office without music or when the neighbors make noise.Thank you
This looks a little bit similar to the Mpow X5! The Tozo NC9 delivers so much though! I mean, that mic is just wow. Hope you can do a comparison with the Fiil T1 pro and Mpow X5 if ever you come across them.
@@pickyaudio Sweet!! Let us know what you think, are you gonna make a new video on em? Please let us know if they sound better than the 3SEs! Since they are using that new type of driver, they will probably have more 'clarity' or be perceived as hi-fi. But the important part is that they don't suffer from the sound being too high pitched or have pinched highs where the mids get lost and fatigue goes through the roof. The thing I like about the 3SE is that they have reference-like a neutral full bodied sound without exaggerated highs. Thanks!
If you're playing a game and on a call at the same time are the both audios clear or is one muffled off?......this happens with the headphones I use currently and I want to upgrade to the tozo.
Hey! I recently got the tozo nc9. If i remember correctly, you wrote an update comment considering the 20Decebel app. Anc / transparency or neither of these modes( both modes off) can be selected. Since the app does seem to work with the nc9, should i do a firmware update altho the app isn't meant for the nc9 specifically? I am afraid of encountering worse performance due to the firmware update.
Actually, right now the Soundpeats Truengine 3SE are cheaper than these in the US - on Amazon, they are $40, while these Tozo NC9 are $48. I have a question - I can get Taotronics 94 for $37. And as I said, the Tozo NC9 are $48. On the one hand, on the Taotronics, I can turn off the ANC on the earbuds, but I can't on the Tozo. But you said the Tozo have better bass. So which is a better deal - the 94s at $37 or the NC9s at $48?
So I found out through another her comment when you take the Tozo out of the case noise cancelling is off, so you sort of have that option there. But if I was to chose one I’d go the Tozo NC9 🙌
