Hello everyone, as you might have noticed, I'm trying out a new animation style for my videos. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it! Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks for your work in these videos. They are very educational and give an insight on the thoughts and practices of the past. Everyone knows of the flourishes of the times in regards to knights and kings, but it's surprising how something practically mundane like candles or cemetarys can be so fascinating to expound upon.
~6:00 This reminds me of elite burial practices in the Asante Empire of modern-day Ghana; they would temporarily bury the bodies of dead kings for a time to allow them to decompose (or perhaps store them in some kind of vessel, I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact details, because my professor only discussed this in passing), then retrieve the bones, bind them together in their original configuration with gold wire, and then inter them in the royal crypt.
My first video on this channel, can't pay attentione well enough right now, but I'm putting it under watch later and coming back because this is really interesting.
The Green surrounding the Cathedral where I live is a very popular recreation spot, people are always picnicking on it, and there is a Christmas market and various festive and ceremonial activities. I always find it weird, because for centuries it was the only cemetery in the city. Another park in the city was originally a mass grave from a cholera epidemic.
As an aspiring writer, I find your videos tremendously helpful. Thank you! I would love to see a video focusing on catacombs, if you haven't already done it. PS What's your native language? I'm trying to pin down that accent! :)
This was really cool! I had no idea about the origins of necropoli, and the idea that a cemetary was used as a gathering place or market is crazy, lol Also dug the new presentation format. I like the book theme.

Was thinking about how nice that 'drawn' effect was and how it really drives home this sense of antiquity.
It's absolutely wonderful! It must take a lot of time to animate things likd that? It look awesome!
I think it looks fantastic, I can never get enough of old pencil sketches and coal drawings and whatnot

Marvelous illustrations. I often visit old cemeteries just for the trees.
Fun fact: cities are still selling tickets to charnel houses. Enjoy. 😊
Just subscribed brother. Thank you for your insights.
An interesting and worthwhile video, thanks Kobean

I don’t have a video on catacombs planned yet but perhaps I might do one in the future.
I’m originally from Flanders (Dutch speaking part of Belgium)
