    Using the Pneumatics Simulator software, build a basic air compressor circuit. Use a solenoid valve to maintain between 100 to 120 psi in the system. Attach control valves and a load to demonstrate the operation of the system. Record your system operating and attach it to the assignment to get credit.

    Why is a 5/2 DCV needed for a double acting cylinder?...Why not use a 4/2 DCV with just one reservoir port?

      Definitely also a possibility! The main difference is that with a 5/2 you have got two exhausts, which you can seperately connect to e.g. throttle valves... generally said you gain more control possibilities. For simple applications, 4/2 can also be used (and are a lot of times!)

      "FluidSIM" always worked for me. It has three uses (and I think also 3 different versions unfortunately...): Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Electronics
