As someone diagnosed with PPPD, vestibular migraine and meniere's disease this video is amazing. a lot of doctors still dont understand what i'm talking about when i mention this disabling condition. it's horrible. good luck to anyone who is suffering it right now.

I have PPPD du to vestibular migranes . It started 5 years ago I believe when I entered menopause. I’ve had all the classic symptoms of vestibular migranes with the PPPD. It’s gotten much better since it first started but I still have the PPPD attacks in combination with anxiety in certain situation and spaces . It’s an awful invisible desease . Sadly the government doesn’t approve or recognize it as such resulting in one not being able to stop working and collecting disability benefits . I struggle daily to maintain a normal life having to still work and maintain a household . Sometimes I just feel like ending it all

Lana can you please advice me. I have had vestibular neuritis in a chaotic time (almost missed out on graduating my master because of the extreme dizzyness) but after that the symptoms lingered on and my ENT says it's now pppd. I try do to most activities but I'm still unable to work. I get overwhelmed by social interaction, busy places like a meeting for example. Sometimes PEM, some sort of delayed intense fatigue reaction, after having been in a busy environment. Do you have that too? I just don't know how to deal with it.

Hi, for 10 years I have had mild swaying and light headed, feel wobbly in head, but not falling over etc. my, eyes don't move, not bppv. 2 months ago I had a true dizzy spinning room attack, room was spinning any time i laid down to one side. since that day and it stopped happening I have been left with severe light headed, spaced out feeling, wobbly feeling but not falling over, and not losing balance, but feel like I am about to all the time. I had mri and nothing that needs attention, I had full scan of inner ear area, artery etc but all ok. I have been diagnosed with PPPD and been told to take vestibular rehab, but wen I go there (once so far) the one I seen doesn't seem to know about pppd - but still I will do rehab, my issue is I get noise in one ear, more when i lay down, eyes are tense, feel like all head inside is moving, spaced out so much, pressure in ears and head - feel so disconnected from the world. My eyes are going bloodshot - and hear humming in ear on and off, doesn't seem to be in line with heart beat, but when wake up I have a beating in ear that is. Feel like a spasm deep in ear. It's so hard life at the moment, swaying, dizzy feeling - it's like a feeling of 24/7 about to go in to a spinning dizzy moment, everything around me is swaying left to right and the same time feeling/hearing stuff going on in my left ear although clear on MRI.
May I ask your view on all of this please and anyone else here? I had this for many years but now it's hit me like never before.
    Thanks

Hi, it sounds like continuing your rehab exercises with vestibular physiotherapy, possiblt with cognitive behavioural therapy will need to be your main modes of treatment, but it is concerning that it seems to be getting worse! Do you stay in Cape Town?

Please help me because I’m experiencing the same thing 😣 I’m currently in the hospital now and I am having all the symptoms I’ve had the worst anxiety attack and they’re saying that I have PTSD because all my MRI my ear test and everything I’ve come back perfectly fine. I am just scared because nobody seems to know what PPPD is and I don’t know if it’s PTSD but it’s just crippling 😩 I’m using voice memo to even talk on here because looking at my phone is a trigger

This chronic dizziness came out of the blue one in 2019 and it went away some what but I had it every now and then. I got it again about 5 months ago when my anxiety got really bad due to family issues and my car breaking down. I am now worried that I have vestibular migraines as I have some symptoms but not all. I am constantly dizzy with balance issues at times especially in the dark, I feel like I am sinking and swaying when I sit or lay down. I cant lay down flat or i get dizzy. Its always worse when my anxiety is bad. My tinnitus has also gotten worse. Why does this hit us out of the blue? Does this sound like vestibular migraine or PPPD. I always thought I might have PPPD but have been reading about vestibular migraines. I am really worried now. Who is the best specialist to go and see about getting a proper diagnosis. THanks
