- Scene and audio taken from Dungeons&Daddies (not a BDSM podcast) episode 14, Tower of Terry. This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show, I had to give it a try. And only after find out that the scene is like 10 minutes long (before cutting out extraneous laughter and game mechanics).
Boy howdy if you look closely you can see me figure out what the heck it is I'm doing as I'm doing it. A visual portrayal of a 2 month learning process bomb diggidy

I seriously almost started crying at this part in the podcast. Like, better than any TV show or movie I've experienced in a long time.
Also, this animation is fucking amazing.

This is my second time going through this scene (first listening to the podcast, then watching this animation) and i teared up pretty good
I love bug eye ron he's adorable!
There isn't a single thing I do not like about this... I remember this scene being tense and emotional, but seeing it animated and all the artistic styles utilized... it's just perfect
All the details! The close up on Ron saying “it fucking sucked,” the flash of green anger in Henry’s eyes…this is magnificent!

I listen to it while I do dishes. Never fails to make me laugh, and occasionally make me really emotional.
everything is so good but i gotta say i love the small details of glenn trying to be supportive of ron; helping him form his words, bringing in kid in, and checking up on ron as the others shit on the tower; its all so good
1. I'm crying, there are literally tears in my eyes rn, this is so beautifully done
2. I absolutely love Henry holding back Glenn in the bg while Ron was talking to Terry, that little detail's so perfect. This whole thing is perfect ahhhhhhh
ik i was laughing at them cringing at the beginning, they managed to portray the rest of the group reacting without interrupting the flow of the story as much

i love the small details of glenn helping ron, fighting to guide him along his points, bringing the kid up with so much speed, comforting him whole the others yell at the tower its just so good
god this hurts so much more knowing about rons childhood too
Ron is absolutely an amazing character
Anthony is possibly the best DM I´ve ever seen. All his characters come to life, and you seriously start to regard them as separate and unique characters instead of just one guy doing different voices. Absolutely incredible.
This scene hurts way more after knowing Ron's backstory
Now knowing that the robed men are the grandaddies it makes a lot more sense the way they were so harshly judging Ron, despite him doing so well. Willy just lives to hurt his kid.
God the fact that our first ever mention of Willy... Willy shows up right after, is so good and chilling.

The part with Terry Sr grabbing his shoulders. That's exactly how I imagined the scene

the visual comparisons you did between ron's past and terry's present were so well done, i think it made it resonate with me even more when ron said he knew how it felt.

This scene is so heavy, and this particular take on it is so beautiful, but the way that Anthony says "no" when Will's (Henry's) asking for the kid back makes me laugh every time!
the angles and camera movements you do are insanely good, the facial expressions were spot on, your sound editing was so detailed. this was honestly so amazing, you really brought this scene to life.

I love the detail of Ron’s dad in the vision having a beard and the hooded figure(Ron’s dad) having the same beard
THIS IS AMAZING, first of all, I can't believe you made an 8 minute long animatic, second, IM CRYING this was absolutely heartwreching and especially the hug near the end, I love how he hesitates and then hugs him back and jasjskskadbejdkal this is so good

Love the ringing replacing the description so it’s just dialogue and Ron squishing against the barrier and the wrestle behind them and the split screen and little Ron and Willy design and the transition from the tear falling and Terry’s hand shaking on the book and him holding his dad’s hand on his shoulder while Ron talked and only the cloak being left behind! Amazing job!

This is so incredible! The style is so immersive and expressive and I feel like all the little details you put in really captured the energy and emotionality of the scene and just - wow! The part that exemplifies this the most for me was at 6:10 where you can see Ron's real eyes behind his glasses... it's such a small touch but it does so much and that's genuinely so impressive

Oh, this is amazing. I love the use of silence and body language, and the creative interpretations of certain things.
The ending scene hits differently after finding out who the BBEGs are.
Holy shit this is amazing. I especially love the background action. Also there's some very dynamic shots. This isn't just putting some pictures to the original audio. This is legitimately a full movie. Beautiful job.

I am mad late to the show and literally listened to this today and somehow this hit way harder with the visuals.

THIS IS SO COOL AND AMAZING AND FANTASTIC. I love it so much. The character designs, the Ron flashback... I love how you showed like the ghost of Terry Sr. putting his hands on Terry's shoulder (peak content right there), Glenn's little jumps before he rushes downstairs to fetch one of the kids, how Terry let's the book fall as he finally accepts the truth, Henry's anger at the end... THE HUG AT THE END DESTROYED ME. IT WAS SO PERFECT AND EMOTIONAL AND AAAA. BEAUTIFUL. The way Ron is awkward at the beginning, like he doesn't know what to do with his hands, is literally so in character.
THE WAY RON CLUTCHED TERRY'S CAPE AS HE VANISHED. I'M SOBBING. MY HEART. Glenn rushing to Ron's side to check on him was also so soft and caring and aaaaaa. Really fantastic work, amazing, spectacular!!!
I adore how you just elevated this scene 10x over by taking away Anothonys narrations and the giggles, truly incredible visuals too. keep it up!!’
When I first watched this, when i was around this part of the podcast, I was stunned. Now, rewatching it with more context I am blown a w a y with some of the details

This was beautiful. I also love how mature Terry looks and derpy Ron looks but the characters in the background silently reacting was GREAT!! But I am really shocked at how deep this scene hits without all the laughter and descriptions. DAMMM good job

This scene was always kinda heart felt to me. But when you take away Anthony describing things (up until the end) and the laughing from the crew this became really really sad. I choked up. The animation was executed beautifully!
This hits even harder in silence. I would've thought the wirring would be annoying, but it worked out well.
the flash of green in Henry’s eyes is such a good detail
This was seriously incredible, beyond belief. The audio editing was just perfect to set the scene, and your use of perspective and camera movement/angles, and just pure TALENT in capturing and conveying emotion made this so genuinely tender to watch. I really am crying right now, geez...plus, the inclusion of that cut scene of Ron fishing with his dad, then the faint spirit of Terry Sr. behind his son, with Terry Jr. clutching at his cloak, trying to feel his dad present one last time...wow. I'm floored. (And those little moments of the other dads in the back while Ron is bargaining with Terry?? SO CHOICE.)

It always hits me a little bit harder. Holy shit Beth. Holy shit. Just. Walked up casually to my face with a baseball bat, did a whole wind up, and still shocked me to my core when it hit.
And you can hear the genuine anger in Will's voice. You know that monologue hit the table hard too.
Made the mistake of checking Discord first thing in the morning and now I'm binging every video you've ever made instead of doing work. No regrets, this is awesome ;_;
