- Everything that comes to us naturally was always intended to be for everyone, equally. The sun, the moon, green grass, water, love..but man decided to create an unequal system. We divided things based on caste, religion, gender and what not. Today, Kena shares a story that she and her family lived decades ago but with everything going on, it is sadly and surprisingly relevant even today. It's a heartwarming tale of love and hate but above all humanity ..go give it a listen and ask yourself, yeh kaisa system hai?
Hey everyone,
This story is extremely personal to me. The important ‘something’ that I talk about in the story happened many years ago and I was nervous revisiting it. Also, we’ve lost Daadi. Miss her so much. The last few years spent with her, we saw a different person in her altogether. It’s never easy for an old woman break her 60 year old stereotypical system and adopt a new skin. But she did. She was brave! She was willing to change.
Let’s just keep doing our small bit. Ideologies get ingrained in societies but together we can bring about a change. Let’s fix up the mess!

Exactly! A story that belongs to two decades ago is still alive. It shouldn’t have been. Discrimination should’ve been long dead.

Dadi ko lower caste nhi, clearly mention karna chaiye tha SC/ St/ obc. Then he would have been able to take pride in his caste and felt privileged enough of caste based reservation, which he , his family and upcoming generations have enjoyed and will be enjoying timelessly☺️

केनाश्री, जितनी सुंदर तुम्हारी कहानी हैं, उससे कहीं ज्यादा सुंदर तुम्हारा प्रस्तुतिकरण। और उससे भी ज्यादा सुंदर तुम्हारी फैमिली और उनकी विचारधारा। कहानी में लगा थोड़ा फिल्मी हो गयी हैं, पर तुम्हारा अंदाज सारे वाकये को इतना सहज बना गया कि मेरी आँखें नम हो गयी। मैं प्रशंसा करने में कंजूस हूँ तो वो नही करूँगा, सिर्फ यही कहूँगा- You are unique and I mean it.

This Story is great... when i was in 9th grade our hindi teacher asked us to present a drama on untouchability and i wrote a script, executed the drama, played a role in it and we won. Btw storyline of my drama was same as her story. At the end everything changes because of blood donation.
