the doom stacking build gets really cheesy if you get epic special speed and longer weak because you can just keep stacking doom and it gets insanely high
i did an insane doom stacking build, i had epic dire misfortune, impending doom, special, and special speed. i also had the boon that ups damage after a death defiance- idk what rarity, but it was 22% i believe?? i was getting INSANE numbers. that was also the run that made me appreciate exclusive access bc woah epic everything was awesome. i havent been able to replicate that yet and i wish i could so badly
Dire misfortune seems like it has a similar impact on your damage as support fire, except it only applies when you hit with a doom-applying attack, the damage increase is something, but it's kind of just something you take after you have the rest of your doom build online
Well if he's getting 12 stacks of doom before it drops (I counted a few times and I think he's getting 4 shots of the rama special off before the doom drops which is 12 shots if I'm not mistaken) then it adds 120 to the base damage of the doom, which is like doubling an epic doom. So I think it does more than he's giving it credit for. Impending doom is much better, but they work well together since impending doom means more stacks since it takes longer to drop. So then you get more stacks and they have a huge damage increase at the end. 5% PP is only a 10% damage increase on average, so average DPS increase from dire misfortune on this build is much higher from dire misfortune than it is from PP. I agree that support fire isn't that great though since it has an internal cooldown and doesn't shoot out 1 arrow per hit if the hits are too fast.
24:35 4 boons on the doors?? Huh?? How does that happen? And right after that, 3% pressure points is about a 6% dps increase. Rare sweet surrender is 16%, assuming you can keep weak up consistently
The difference between Pressure Points and Sweet Surrender is that Pressure Points is multiplicative when added on top of all other damage bonuses while Sweet Surrender is additive only to the base damage. Sweet Surrender is about equivalent to a Pomegranate in terms of power.
You move from 271 to 524 getting dire + pom on special (218 to 224), it sounds like too much looking at the boon description doesn’t it ? Difference between common and epic in raw numbers is small for sure, but it’s still a 40% increase ! It may do quite a difference... Considering it gave you around +250, epic would have given you +100 more (jumping you from 271 to 624 against the witches)... Impending at 115% would then be 215 more, and a crit about 645. Could have made the big numbers close to 7k in the hades fight probably.
Yeah I think he's overlooking how good dire misfortune can be when you also have impending doom to keep the doom from dropping for a little longer and something that can apply the stacks quickly like the rama special. Dire misfortune + impending doom is a fuckton of extra damage.
@@Haelian at 14:20, you’re already wearing the ares keepsake when you switch. You wore it for tarturus and asphodel. Just to be clear, the ares keepsake only forces ares once in tarturus, but had no affect in asphodel?
He's said that the shield and bow are his favorites I think. Idk exactly which aspects but I know he likes chaos shield a lot. And he loves artemis and meg. Not sure if those are his favorites though.
I basically think that if you enjoy going for hyper-specific build paths then dire misfortune is the more fun one to chance upon a perfect build for; hence why some people would rather go for it - they play that way and don't mind crashing out with a weak build sometimes. If you're the kind of person who wants every run to have the strongest build it possibly can (within it's rng), you're much more inclined to go for impending doom because of the more guaranteed/less conditional damage boost. I play this way because I can't help but min/max in the moment.
Man I really miss the regular Hades uploads, another great vid man
This build just helped me get my first 32 heat win. Nothing really worked for me until I stumbled upon this video. Thanks a lot, Dan
that intro creeped me out and warmed my heart at the same time

it is just worse than support fire, by a wide margin
I tried using curse of longing with merciful end. I was so disappointed that merciful end just clears doom completely.
tried this for myself AND HOLY SHIT IT IS SO MUCH MORE FUN THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE
0:02 Bro's a vampire and don't even realize.
But have you thought of curse of longing in these trying times?
The intro, I love it.
Thanks for the new Hades content ! :)
Dang that heroic Arty special would be nasty on some builds
I'm worried I could die... Procedes not to loose a single DD.
Hades content goat 💪
Interesting new intro ya got there mate

I got 4 boons on the doors yesterday...while doing a no-boon run. I wasn't happy.

Satisfying to see, even if it was kind of ridiculously implausible.
Do doom effects stack on the Chiron special?
has he ever really done a curse of longing build? im not saying its great, but could be decent in certain builds.
Why did you switch to aphro keepsake for curse of longing when you can get it with ares keepsake and also try and get impending doom?
We already used the Ares keepsake, it's a one time use.

Really? I wish it was longer
What you don't understand, streamer, is that Hades is pretty much identical to Slay the Spire. Now, I haven't played Slay the Spire, but...
T_T plz don't use that intro again
