- Experience the ultimate cab ride experience inside the fastest train in Sri Lanka Railways. This train is known as the fastest train in Sri Lanka and it is capable of achieving the maximum speed, 120 km/ph. This will be a memorable experience for you as you can witness the untouched beauty of Jaffna.
This is a Class S12 fully air-conditioned DMU in Sri Lanka Railways. However, now it is servicing with Class S13A fully air-conditioned DMU imported from India.

As a train lover I'm so happy to say that i have gone in all engine cabs and locomotives. M 2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11. S 8,9,10,11,12,13,14.😄🥰 and feel so lucky that i was able to go in the maiden trial runs of s13 and s14 powersets and to go in the engine cabs of them when they were brand new😊😊.
I have footages of the trial runs in my pc. If i find them i will share them to you.

This line won't see its full potential until it double-tracked and trains are run more frequently to develop the rural communities along the way. Right now it's mainly serving the Jaffna Colombo traffic.
I agree. We need more commuter trains on this line. That way railway can earn more revenue.

Yes aiye this is KKS AC intercity train. It departs from Colombo at 5.45 am and returns the same day ☺️

ඒ වගේම S12/14 කට්ටල දෙවර්ගයම සැලසුම් කරලා තියෙන්නේ කඳුකර මාර්ගයේ ධාවනයට ගැළපෙන විදියට..අනෙක තැනිතලා මාර්ග වල ධාවනය කරන විට S12/14 එන්ජින් දෙකම වැඩ කරන්නේ නැහැ..
