Thank you for making an FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) bunny. Everytime I get a flare up or get upset. My plushie helps me stay focused and grounded. He's called Mr. Bun Bun and is such an incredible sentimental present from my partner. She has the gender dysphoria bunny and has named it Sam. Thank you so much for creating adorable companions. 😄
Thank you for using your trauma to help give support to others. Sorry you've had such a rough life, know your fans support you! From American yourself, to Alice, to Dreadful Plushies.
Even though you have been through a lot, I really want to thank you for all the amazing proyects you have made. Whenever I feel down, I remember the people that inspire me (like yourself) and that makes me keep going.
You truly are an inspiration. Right now im going through a rough patch but the alice games and ur story really helps me go through and it tells me that in the end, things will be okay. Thank you American Mcgee!
Currently, I have three rabbits: Libra, gender dysphoria, and year of the rabbit, all of which are awesome and personal to me. My spouse has Aquarius and BP2. I like them because I like rabbits (obviously), and I like the designs that convey a message or symbol. If I had one request: a rabbit symbolizing catatonia, a rare psychiatric disorder. I began suffering from this in 2018 to late-2022. A lot of folks are enamored with this disorder. Catatonia is a bizarre state to be in. It's as if time is frozen. Thankfully, having not suffered from catatonia for a while now, I am now doing great. I have seizures, CPTSD, and am immune-compromised due to two meds; know I'll have three more to add. Have an egg allergy, too 🤣That's a fourth. I sometimes feel as though I am the real life Bubble Boy. Thanks, McGee. Thanks for opening up and sharing your personal story. And thanks to your designer(s).
One of the issues with the way reality is presented to us - is that we're told there's "normal" and that if we aren't that, then there's something wrong with us. The reality is that "normal" is as you've described or I've described ... our lives are a collection of traumas and difficulties. The sooner we come to terms with the fact that we are stitched up, patched up "rabbits," the sooner we can get on with life as it is - instead of wasting time on life as someone else tells us it should be.
@@AmericanMcGeeOfficial Beautifully stated. Screen-capped and will forever save. I'll read your reply when down about health issues to help me keep pushing forward. And to remind me that's it's okay to be different. Thank you.
I have clinical depression, and frequently struggle with anxiety. I do fairly well on medication, but sometimes it isn’t enough, and plush toys have always been a huge source of emotional comfort for me. So adding some Plushie Dreadfuls to the family seemed natural. I currently have the depression v2 rabbit and have ordered the blue anxiety rabbit, and I plan to grab a few more Plushie Dreadfuls after that (love kitten and one of the shy rabbits are definitely on my list!) My depression bunny is named Felicity (meaning happiness), and my coming anxiety bunny is going to be called Bernadette (brave/strong). I’ve named them for what I wish for most whenever my mental ailments are at their most potent. I love my current bunny so much. She’s soft and comforting when I need it the most. I’m sure I’ll love the new one too, and any others I collect in the future. ❤
i bought your bpd rabbit recently and she's wonderful. i have severe bpd myself from traumas i experienced growing up, so finding a bunny just like me as well as a real support system has been good for me. i don't feel as hopeless as i used to. I'm gonna get the trust issues or love bunny next. thank you for sharing your story! i hope that things are going better for you 🐇
the kitten and rabbit combo sold out as I was about to buy it, I signed up to the newsletter for when or if they come back in stock for the combo. I actually adore all these designs and I'm really happy I finally found these, I kept seeing ads but I forget what they're called after seeing them haha. I'm also happy that you made a POTS one because a friend of mine has POTS and I sent her a link to it. Amazing work Mr McGee!
American! Is the Lavender anxiety bunny new?! My bun is the Migraine bunny. It's such a part of our family that when they see I put the octobrain on it, they automatically handle me with a little more care that day. Thanks, Mr.McGee! 💜
Yes, there are three new Limited Edition color variations on the way. They are already in the shop so you can sign up for notification when they go on sale.
(LONG COMMENT) First, thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry you've had to experience a lot of horrible stuff, I'm glad you've managed to prevail and are now using your experience to help others. I don't have any plushies yet, but I'd really like to get them in the future. If I may go down the list: •Screen Addict- The vast majority of my time is spent on my phone, and if not on it I'm likely listening from it. •Allergies- I have a number of allergies/intolerances that have affected my daily life. I love how silly it looks- which I just now realized sorta ties with a joke in my life that I love breads/pastries, yet eggs are my biggest allergy 😅. •Anxiety- I can not express how much this has and still does affect me. •Regression- I'm an age dreamer. I really love the big plush with little bunny, really reflects my experience with age dreaming. Other plushies I relate to are Bi, Ace, Scorpio, and Strawberry (my fav fruit ☺️🍓) And these are plushies that reflect me. Y'all have plenty more that reflect my friends, which I also really love. As for future plushies, I'd like to see plushies relating to vision problems. I may be only near sighted, but I'd love to see an interpretation of things like Visual Snow Syndrome, cataracts, or color blindness. I know y'all have a plushie for Epilepsy, how about something for those who have non-epileptic seizures/PNES (I still don't fully understand the difference between NES and PNES if someone does please let me know). I'd also really love to see more Pride bunnies. I'm Angled Aroace, and I'm aware that it's pretty difficult to put the vast Aroace spectrum into a plushie, I'd still like to see an Aromantic and/or Aroace plush. Genderqueer and Genderfluid would be lovely too. Intersex, Polyamorous, Polysexuals, and Omnisexuals are vastly underrated, I think it'd be nice for them to have something. Finally, perhaps a hypers3xual plushie? I saw a fan design on Tiktok and I (as a hypers3xual) absolutely adore it, and would love to see an official version. Some things I'd like noted are that there's many forms s3xual trauma (many seem to think it's only SA), and some hypers3xuals may not even have it (i.e medications). Perhaps y'all can put some small bunnies (intrusive thoughts) that have things symboling the ways hypers3xuality develops? I'm done rambling. Y'all're really cool, love your work!
Learning that you made Alice was such a jumpscare, I was just going through some Plushie Dreadful videos after getting mine, and found that out from this. I LOVE THE ALICE GAMES!
Holy crap, it sounds like you've been through a lot. Props to you for pushing through daily
