Their superman is so bright and shiny! I think six flags needs to start repainting a lot of their rides! *cough* Nitro *cough*
it’s not it’s a faded red and it’s ugly
bryan.c.dough Need a pill?
Tangent wrong. When they opened Justice League: Battle For Metropolis, they repainted Superman.
Goliath definitely needs some new paint
I like faded paint coasters
Of course he would say "pretty sure the person who designed that ride was totally high" right at the 4:20 mark lol
Yes, I am the one who added the 112th like. I am so evil. No perfect like amount on my watch!
Pretty fair review. This one's my home park. Monster Mansion (formerly Monster Plantation) is definitely a standout in this park. Pretty excited about the Twisted Cyclone RMC although it's layout is a bit short and compact in comparison to Steel Vengeance which looks phenominal.
Gemstar 382 this is my home park too and I'm excited for twisted cyclone too. I just wish it was a bit longer and had more airtime
One positive is that with it being so compact, it should be pretty intense. But yes, I would like to see more airtime as well.
I mean, it was never going to compare to Steel Vengeance. Mean Streak was just much taller, much longer, and just was able to be turned into a massive beast of an RMC that had even more added to the height. Georgia Cyclone was just a slightly taller version of the Cony Island Cyclone. While it may have been a fun ride, it just wasn't big enough to be as epic as Steel Vengeance will be.
What i don't like is that the Georgia cyclone went around one extra time around itself but in twisted cyclone they removed the whole back half
same
There is NOTHING mediocre about Six Flags Over GA. SIx Flags Over Georgia is my home park, meaning it was the park I grew up with. It was the SECOND Six Flags park built and to this day, holds the standard for how a Six Flags should be. It's too bad that you are just visiting the park in 2017. It has gone through a lot of changes and has featured many thrilling rides, flats to coasters over the years. The park layout works well with its surroundings and all of its attractions blend together nicely. To this day, it still maintains the charm and thrill that keeps guests going back for more.
EXACTLY!
Been there 3 times and will never go back. First 2 times were bad but the last time was horrendous. It's a shame because they have some good coasters but the workers and park layout is terrible. They never maintenance their coasters which result in them being shut down frequently. I didnt even get to ride twisted cyclone the last time, literally waited in line for 30 mins and they shut it down b4 I got on. The park is tacky with advertising everywhere because they are losing money. The last time I went they literally handed us free tickets to come back due to the rides being shut down so they know its pitiful. There is trash everywhere around the park as well so I guess no one cares about the appearance. The park just has a trashy and cheap feel to it. I cant wait for this park to go out of business and Cedair Fair buys it and fixes it up. They need to call Carowinds and ask them how to run a damn theme park.
Six Flags Over Georgia is my home park.
Lucky
It’s my home park too. I’ve been going since the 70’s.
Mr. NoRide So is many of people’s home parks. Feel special?
Mr. NoRide same
Same
"Let's talk about the food" *Geese on the screen*

My cousins!
Six Flags Over Georgia is my home park and I might be biased, but the rides seem to be more forceful than the other parks. The Batman at Over Texas was nowhere near as intense as the one in Georgia. Once again, it might be because it’s my home park, but that was my personal experience.
"Batman or Georgia Scorcher those are pretty intense" YOU LEFT OUT MINDBENDER! THOSE LOOPS ARE VERY INTENSE!!! Other than that I agree.
Zachary Gardner Of course.
OMG YOUR RIGHT
I love my park. King of compact roller coasters, monster mansion is a jewel and is the local popularity that keeps that ride going. You hit the nail on the head with this review coming from an annual season pass holder. Especially the food, apart from JB's and the panda express that got to keep being a panda express for some reason.
If you go to Atlanta area store and but coca cola products they have discounts on tickets since coca cola is headquartered in atlanta
I agreed with most of what you said, but when you said most of the coasters there aren't very intense, I was supprised that you mentioned Georgia Scorcher being fairly intense, but not mentioning something like Mindbender's vertical loops.
Mr. NoRide and don't forget Goliath's helix
+Dooble yeah, that too.
The schorcher is fast for it's layout. I don't know about you, but when they say put your feet to the fire, it means the forces are putting your feet to sleep. Wicked fast for something so compact.
4:12 like if you've seen the squirrel on the left :)
Ender Greg i don't get it
Ender Greg it looks like a rat
Found em
I was just about to comment this. Lol
Ye
This is the closest park to home for me so i recognized the whole place! I love this park, also the twisted cyclone is so fun! (im watching in 2018)
I am very happy that this is my home park, easily one of the best six flags
My review as a long time local Six Flags GA guest: Its the only park for hundreds of miles.
I have season passes to six Flags Over Georgia and it is my favorite theme park ever
I must say as a season pass holder and this being my home park, I love going to holiday in the park the park is very pretty and really brings out the scenery!
Lmao yeah monster mansion is a park classic
I got rained out at six flags over Georgia last year and I was able to get on Goliath, Batman the Ride and Mindbender!Busch gardens Tampa also has a sky ride and a train.
If I had 1 word to describe this park, it would be excellent! I am a huge fan of Six Flags Over Georgia.
Been there 3 times and will never go back. First 2 times were bad but the last time was horrendous. It's a shame because they have some good coasters but the workers and park layout is terrible. They never maintenance their coasters which result in them being shut down frequently. I have a membership to this park so I get free parking. I pay $6 for an unlimited drinks wristband and then I'll leave the park for lunch and come back. I can't justify the insane prices for mediocre food here.
I have visited this park an absolute ton since it is my home park and I definitely agree with you on most of the things in this review. The operations for food and rides is definitely a little long and longer for certain rides. I also agree with the rollercoaster "Intensity" point. I think that the reason most of these aren't really as intense is because of how long ago they were built. Even Goliath being built in 2006 is a "While" ago. it doesn't have a "Twisted Colossus" or "X2" or "Kingda Ka" or a freespin or a quarry wall or "El Toro." But I think the park will definitely get a More intense and thrilling ride in 2018 with Twisted Cyclone. That will definitely bring the thrill level up.
If I were to choose one coaster model SFOG needs, I would say we could get a B&M Wing coaster with a launch. The Sky Rocket 2 model would even be nice. There was a launch coaster at SFOG in the chain a while back called Viper I believe. I may be wrong but I think that was a launched coaster.
Wow I practically gave a review myself!
Fun fact: When I was little, I valleyed on what is now the Joker Funhouse coaster.
I agree with most of your review expect the roller coasters not being intense. Most of the roller coasters here have some very intense moments. Your spoiled with intensity though you have I305 at your home park.
My top 3 coasters at this park- Twisted Cyclone, Goliath, and Mindbender.
Twisted Cyclone is the best coaster here and Idk why people hate on it. Twisted Cyclone gives the best ejector airtime in the park. Goliath gives great floater airtime. Mindbender has super forceful vertical loops.
For a park in the South, the food here leaves a lot to be desired; also it takes far too long to just stop and grab a bite to eat or even refill your mug.
That's my home park, and I aggre with everything. The FrightFest is pretty good there, but during the holidays the park gets very busy and it's as well maintained as some CedarFair parks.
Six Flags Over Georgia is my home park, and I'm mad that they haven't updated the park in SO LONG. WE NEED A NEW RIDE
Did anyone else notice the roller coasters in this squirrel video?
StamfordBridge no where’s the rollercoasters
At what time? Don’t see it.
Baseball Guy01
4:12 on the path
Theme Park Cooper thanks.
So I actually live near that and I’ve been with the new twisted cyclone and that ride is the best in the park for sure
Six Flags Over Georgia is my home park and it played a huge part in my childhood. There are a lot of rides that I really miss that are no longer there, such as The Great Gasp, Looping Starship and Free Fall.
Oh and The Monster Mansion used to be called the Monster Plantation, which was changed for obvious reasons.
I love this park! I live near it and we get season passes so it's a win win!
this is my "home park" (its still like 4 hours away) but I think this park is underrated especially their supporting coasters like i think that batman, mindbender, and superman are all underrated
Hersheypark has both a train and skyride, but I never do either because they are both pointless and bring you back to where you got on
AND a monorail! (Which also brings you back to where you started.)
Busch tampa
I just visted for the first time yesterday, it was my first six flags. Compared to Cedar Fair, Disney, Bush, etc, I thought it was much dirtier than other parks. It wasn't terrible, but I hated how they left those bumper stickers at the end of Georgia Scorcher there that people put on the wall.
I'm glad you liked my home park! I agree with most of the things you mentioned. I agree that the food isn't amazing here but one thing that triggered me is that when you mentioned intense coasters you didn't even mention Goliath's helix.
I've actually blacked out almost every time I go through the helix. It's amazing.
Dooble The food sucks because... it’s Six Flags. But I might of went to the wrong restaurant.
Zachary Morgan what do you mean blacked out you weren’t knocked fully unconscious were you
ThemeParkChasers during the summer i like the burgers from the miners place
When he said launch coaster would go great it made me think dang they missed the opportunity to make riddler a launch coaster
The twisted cyclone is AWESOME. I've ridden it.
This is my home park and if you’ve been to this park as many times as I have than you can really get your money’s worth if you get the platinum flash pass.
3:10 Yep I waited literally an hour in a line for a pizza at a line that should've taken 15, 30 mins tops.
when the the twisted cyclone is done the area around it will get a remodeling :)
I was on a field trip when we just passed right by six flags over Georgia...
I was pounding the window and the teachers all thought I was crazy spouting out the named of all the coasters and yelling about twisted cyclone
I guess if I had a "home park," it would be this one, and I definitely rode Monster Mansion a lot as a kid, back when it was Monster Plantation. So it was cool to see that mentioned. :) Also really liked Viper when it was still there. Planning on going back in the spring, after KI in three weeks and Dollywood in the fall.
WE ARE FINALLY GETTING A RMC AND A COASTER IN FOREVER!!!
Coaster Studios Hi! Thank you for this review of my home park! Idk if you'll read this but I wanted to mention that Monster Mansion is a really really old ride! The one you rode was the second iteration, after Monster Plantation. Not sure why it got changed, but the ride is like really old so that's pretty cool
Well, I'm pretty sure they changed the name because they wanted to remove references to the old Confederacy. Likewise they renamed the Confederate section of the park. They also renovated it and added a few things when the change happened. I don't necessarily agree with the changes, but it is what it is.
Getting rained out of the park and losing Alec somewhere! Must've been a great day.
He says "like" too much, but overall it's a decent and fair review of a good park.
This is my favorite Six Flags ever! We go almost every year!
So this is my home park and the first time I rode the monster mansion I was so scared because it turn from straight happiness to creepy scary old wood filled with weird but it is a classic
Mind Bender is my favorite coaster, and billed as the world's first triple looping coaster, even though you go upside down twice, and that middle loop is a helix that dives into the ravine... Schwarzkopf coasters are real gems for any park, and it's a classic. Monster Mansion is a good ride. Love how on Acrophopia you get to the top, and the ride operator taunts you over the speakers with "I'm gonna drop you really fast", or "Acrophopia is falling down", "Ring around the Rosey", and so on. The sky buckets and the train are very good too. Need a new attraction or 2 (perhaps including a launch coaster or spinning coaster) in the old Deja-Vu area, but it maybe about 2020-ish, as Twisted Cyclone is new for 2018.
I used to live pretty close to this place but I wasn't tall enough to do much. I could only do the mind bender or whatever
HOT DOG!! That Superman coasters looks great!
Georgian here; this is actually out nice park. Our other park’s standout coaster is a junior slc.
My home park. Was exciting as a kid, grew up, visited other parks, which made me realize Six Flags over Ga need to step up the game, like seriously. Get rid of some of the ancient ones and make it worthwhile. Otherwise, it’s ok, but would definitely drives hours away to go somewhere else.
My home park. This Jazzland and ASTROWORLD and for a brief time Six Flags America although I preferred the longer drive to Kings Dominion.
Twisted Cycle is definitely the best rollercoaster although Goliath is a close 2nd.
I Love Monsters Mansion it traumatized me as a child but I legit love it now. My favorite old old ride no longer there or at any park anywhere was the Parachute drop and there used to be a slide ride that no one remembers but I remember it very visibly it was by the back exit. They used to have.
Coasters aside tho Acrophobia is AWESOME!!! Monster Mansion has been a favorite of my family’s & mine since I was little
Need to go during fright fest so fun
robot gaming More like demonic.
I love Six Flags Over Georgia! I live there and I love all of them there. My top 5 favorites are Goliath, Twisted Cyclone, Daredevil dive, The scorcher, and the Mine Train. The only thing I didn’t really like was how jerky the Mine train was. It is not always like that but the time I rode it, it was. My favorites were either The Scorcher or Goliath. On Scorcher you stand up but in Goliath there is a lot big drops. Over all I really like the park
Imagine them being the first park to get two RMC’s and calling it the Twisted Scream Machine... 😂
They should keep the name the same.
I'm doing a 3 park in 3 day trip this year. Carowinds (since I always have a layover in Charlotte) CP then Kennywood. But I have Sunday open. Was toying with the idea if stopping in Atlanta and going here. At the least for Goliath and Twisted Cyclone. Seems like a solid park with some fun rides but wasn't sure it'd be worth it. But eh its not really convenient (5+ hour drive) and while travelling...and I value your opinion and seems pretty decent.
Anybody else ever have horrible experience with the guests of the park? Went here yesterday and the entire afternoon they had horrible line jumping and just hundreds of out of control kids. By the time we left there were several cops and security guards involved. Not sure if this is normal or we just went on a really bad day. Shame because it was a really nice park without that going on.
and i agree when justice leauge opened it was a VERY long line i waited a long time in line and my brother, sister, neice, and nephew were on the ride and then when i was about to get on the ride it broke down then i had to wait 30 miutes get back in line .....but if it break down and you were close they will allow you to sneak through the store and go in or if you were supposed to riding with somebody and got lost they will hold up the line but only for a few seconds.
It’s my home park and twisted cyclone is pretty rad
Monster Plantation is amazing. Monster Mansion... that's another story.
I understand what you saying that do need to get better with more rides I've been going to that Six Flags since 1978 and it looks much better than it used to be back in the days I agree the food is horrible and too expensive
The high joke was amazing
Six flags over Georgia use to have a launch coaster called viper but now Superman ultimate flight replaces it
SFOG is getting a launch coaster in 2024 as the world's first Intamin Ultra Surf coaster to replace the old Splashwater Falls water ride
LOL I grew up like 40 miles away from SIx Flags over Ga so ive been many many times. Monster Mansion was originally called The Monster Plantation....I wasnt aware that they changed it...but I had to laugh when you mentioned about the boat feeling it could tip over....lol because I visited the park at one point while I was expecting my son....something malfunctioned with the ride and the front right of our boat sunk down pretty far....the ride had to be stopped and we had to be helped off to exit the ride. It was pretty funny. :) Good review...I pretty much can agree with everything!
Going there next week, any tips?
Edit: like what coasters are best to worst, what to definitely ride, what not to, stuff like that.
Six Flags Astroworld had both a skyride and a train as well. In fact the train was necessary to get to the water portion of the park back when it had separate admission still.
six flags over georgia is a great park and the sky ride is pretty good
I went on justice League on a sunday night for fright fest. One of the shortest lines i have ever been in, i got on instantly
Itz R3KR how? Did you take the single rider line?
This has been one of my two home parks and I completely agree on the food operations being terrible. Compared to other Six Flags I've been to this summer they probably have the worst selection and the slowest employees.
4:12 THERES A REAL MONSTER TO THE LEFT OF THAT!!! OH MY GOD IT REALLY IS MONSTER MANSION!!!
Its my home park(i live three hours away in augusta georgia) and with that i have come to know that it is a good park with a good number of great rides(ie mind bender (surprised you didn't talk about that one) gasm, and goliath) but the two big things its missing like you said a launch coaster and maybe another hyper (maybe a intamin) but one thing that a lot of people dont know about this park is that it has a 200 ish foot tall height limit because of the airport in atlanta (putting the park below high traffic air space)
andy stone the airport is a long ways away from i-20 lol. I saw not one plane near us on Sunday at the park. Lol
preferredduck1 thats a good point,
preferredduck, it's not Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, it is the Fulton County Airport. It sits about a mile away on the other side of the river.
2024: WE ARE FINALLY GETTING AN INTAMIN LAUNCH COASTER
I went to six flags over Georgia this past summer. I was there on the last day of the Georgia cyclone. Darn the was the ruffest coaster I ever rode. I was so ruff that i got a backache and a headache from it. The Goliath was my favorite coaster there. Next was the Dare Devil Dive coaster as my 2nd favorite. we had lunch at Macho Nacho. I got there taco sailed. It was really good to where I got jealous that my home park six flags great america didn't have a taco sailed at our Macho Nacho menu or any where in the park. I go back to six flags Georgia again. I have only been to 3 flags park before so I can't say what six flags park is the the top 5. I only been to six flags Texas, six flags Georgia and my home six flags great america. Next year I am going to visit six flags magic mountain and six flags great adventure.
GASM needs a retrack and they could use a decent launch coaster to round out their lineup but if they get those 2 things theyd be sitting pretty imo
I rode the Sky-Ride..
4.2 out of 5 screams.
Good, nothing wrong, just not the best.
Honestly I was a little underwhelmed by the park. I found it solid but barely better than SFA
Man think I missed you buy a weekend at cedar point. Went on the 16th🤷♀️
Six Flags Over Georgia is like the Dollywood of Six Flags
Drinking game: Every time Taylor says "kinda" in this video, take a shot.
YAY FINALLY A VIDEO ON MY HOME PARK!!!!
@ about 1:36 you see a guy wearing a shirt with the RMC logo
2:14 Maxx Force lets go
I went on Sunday March,8,2020 on the day after opening day and Twisted cyclone was running one train with 4 minute dispatches like wut
4:20 (coincidentally) I'm pretty sure Alan Schilke gets really high and hes made some of the best rides in the world
Thanks for the review on my "home park".
The only reason I rode the monster ride was because the line was short and the air conditioning was great. My two friends rocked the boat it was a weird ride.
You waited a single hour to do a battle for motropolis wile i waited 2 hours!
4:21 Wow, just Wow. And I thought Disney Imagineers were High all the time
A joke you don'1 make often
4:11 that squirrel tho
I’m going here in August and I’m in Texas the six flags I normally go to is fiesta Texas so that’s really nice but I’m excited for the ga one I’ll see in my opinion what’s better
Love your vids. Keep up the great work 👍
I’ve been waiting for this. MY HOMEPARK! WOO
They used to hire people who cared, I noticed the half asset restraint checks, I check myself. Lol. It's still fun for the coasters but they do need work in customer service etc.
This is has been my home park since the 70’s and this is my opinion as to what happened to the service. They use to hire college students mainly from GT but several years back they started hiring more high school students and I noticed a big drop off in customer service. Just my opinion.
Always want to check this park out mostly due to Goliath and the Schwarzkopf and now they have an RMC and I'm only about a five-hour drive away... and it's a Six Flags park that is clean and looks nice??? Sold.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is REALLY SKETCHY, like viper's seat broke, Tatsu had the restraint coated in vomit, trash all over, cracked pavement, no shade, puke and dirty underwear on the path (yes, I saw dirty undies on the path, I loved it before, but i am not returning for a while.
Can you do an updated SixFlags Over Texas review because it’s my home park
