"If you're not intentional about the direction you're going, and hearing from the Lord about what's yours to carry, and yet you're hasty about it too, you're going to get to where you're not supposed to go, faster." WOW WOW WOW

Diana, I love all your videos and they always speak to me. However these last two videos you’ve had, the prayer portion has especially felt like a prayer for me! I am sure I am not the only one that is being touched by God through you but I wanted to share my gratitude. Thank you so much for being my UA-cam pastor! 💝

Absolutely ! Diana & Dawn have both brought me significantly closer to God . I’m so grateful. I’ve always had that inclination from a young age, but the Holy Spirit has used them to bring the Bible & prayer more into my daily life. Thank you, Diana & Dawn ! You set a shining, inspiring example.

Baby name - I had 5 names for my son. I called him by all the names when he was born - he looked at me on Sawyer. I did it again & he looked at me again only on that name. So he is named Sawyer!
Just another idea if you two can’t decide …

I always thought about the yoke as being the way to evenly distribute the load and so when you yoke with the Lord He makes the burdens easy and light.

There might be a type C which is over age 65, retired, and now have different priorities and energy levels. I’m not who I used to be and it’s an adjustment to embrace this combination of younger me and older me. To restructure my expectations I put on myself is both calming and tense. Time has a different meaning. Any seniors want to weigh-in on this.

I agree- I am not the same person I was in my youth or middle age season of life. Simply said: Ww live what we learn and grow where we’ve done the hardest work. I like the idea of being a type C

You have said it well. I am 73, and retirement is not at all what I envisioned it would look like. This is largely because our culture has changed so much. I find myself needing to surrender like never before. It's not easy, especially when I see others worshiping the god of positivity and "whatever makes me feel happy." But there are very difficult battles that need to be fought and won. I get weary faster and burnout comes quicker as I age. I keep telling myself many of the same things I did when I was raising kids. Here are a few of them:
      1. When you say "yes" to someone (or something), you are automatically saying "no" to someone else. Too often, that's your husband or your children. Pray for wisdom and balance.
      2. Just because there is a need does not mean there is a call.
      3. Be mindful of your gifts. You may be capable of doing some things beyond your area of giftedness, but those things will be more stressful for you. You were not wired to do everything well.
      4. I am responsible for obedience (to God), not results.
      5. Although I may wear many hats, I am only one person. If I don't see myself as just one person, others won't either.

I love that Matthew 11:28-30 in the Message version:
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

Thank you for praying at the end of your videos. I was never taught how to pray. My only experience with prayer was at church services, over meals and when something very traumatic was happening. I have zero experience with the everyday communication God desires. If i am frankly honest im a little afraid of prayer, mainly because I heard be careful what you pray for all throughout my life. I was often told praying for patience would bring trial or praying for strength would bring difficulty and so I overthink prayer. Its so comforting to hear someone just talk to God and ask for good sleep without fear of something negative happening to create that good rest. Your videos are helping me overcome my fear of prayer, so thank you 🤗

When my oldest had an emotional meltdown and was quite nasty after a birthday party I had stayed up all night to prepare, (not to mention the money spent), my husband declared that there would be no more birthday parties. He mentioned the disastrous outcomes of the two birthday parties in scripture as a basis for his reasoning. So when the next birthday came along, I had the idea the she and I would go out and do something special. Just the two of us. Her eyes lit up with delight when I suggested it. And that was it. It became the tradition year after year for all five kids. No one ever complained and always looked forward to the outing. Best idea ever. No stress.

Years ago, I made bracelets with my Sunday school class with the letters ASAP, Always Say A Prayer. We talked about praying all the time, even about what clothes to wear or where to go in the day. That prayer should be an open channel, we even said that we can pray on the toilet! The kids loved that. I have to say, I'm definitely a water baby so the shower is my prayer time too. Thank you so much for these inspiring videos, from a completely overthinking type A 😅😅

I think I need a little prayer, encouragement, and advice. So, I have decluttered my own things, plus the kitchen, livingroom, bathrooms, and homeschool stuff (I am on my last one, who is 13.) I believe I have hit my sweet spot with it all. I live with 5 other people who are Butterflies and really don't care if the house is decluttered or not, or if there is stuff piled everywhere. They actually don't like it when there are cleared surfaces. My house is nowhere near as minimalized as Dawn's. I am a type B and just go with everyone else's flow. But I have been feeling like the past 22 years I have been a homemaker have been a waste of time since no one really cares if the house is nice or not.

A friend shared her family’s approach to birthdays-the child got a party every other year. On the off year it was a family dinner, if someone dropped by with presents, fine. We had 4 birthdays in 2 months, the last two were 5 days apart and my husband, an identical twin, said we couldn’t lump their birthdays together. Solution: Two birthday parties a year, and they always invited their siblings. Kid 1 party, Kid 2 dinner, Kid 3 party, Kid 4 dinner. We switched the next year. It worked for us. When they were little I also did my Christmas shopping during birthday time.

Thank you always for your beautiful prayers at the end. This one really resonated with me in regards to things going on currently with a member of my family. Grateful you are a light on UA-cam!

Love this! The meanings meant a lot for us as well for our boys, Benen means kind and Brier means steadfast and wow do they match them! Can’t wait to hear what his name will be 😊

Dawn, these bins are awesome! We use them in our camper for all our dry groceries. The cabinet above our sink is longer than usual. Using a few in my home pantry also. Found them on Amazon. God bless! ❤

Thank you for sharing those messages Diana, they’re very timely for me right now. ❤ Someone called you their UA-cam Pastor in the comments, I really like that and love that I could hear your message and prayers on what is my Sunday morning. 🙏 And as always, I just love seeing you girls together! 🥰 🦘🇦🇺

I think I'm a combo personality type also. I'm very organized and structured and like routines. On the flip side of that, I HATE having any attention and would rather be behind the scenes for most things, and I can go with the flow with what others want to do and flexible. Who knows. I always tell my kids, "If we were all created the same, the world would be boring."
