I know I'm really late here but I had a theory that I'm surprised no one else has brought up. So since Violet is Celeste's mother and the black magic is passed down, then Celeste could have it as well. As another commenter pointed out, it doesn't seem like Celeste had a very good relationship with her parents, which could possibly push her over the edge. I know I'm probably completely wrong but it would be interesting to see. Also your animation is beautiful and amazing you inspired me to start doing my own.

Violet was the peak of her dark bloodline and therefore everyone after her will be able to fully use black magic until someone breaks the chain. So Celeste is either able to use it, or will break it... a lot is riding on her c; That's so cool that you've started doing your own! Best of luck to you ^^
I kinda forgot about the candy cane tongue, so while watching I was just like “Ooooo, Celeste looks really elegant in this, it’s interesting how- RAINBOW TONGUE???” XD
