I completely understand the concern & doesn't want Arunachal to be next Tripura.. but why does the whole issue seems like nothing but one more example of male biased society, the Q is what is the difference between offspring of male APST- non APST female and offspring of female APST and male non APST, both have 50% genes coming from both sides, so the only logical conclusion could be the hypocrisy and double standard people.. I find it ironical that Tana Tamar himself comes from mixed family yet proudly claims ST status just because his father is ST yet he feels the offspring coming from female APST marrying others should not be given one. To be honest I see no difference in him & other offspring that he is talking about. Now where is the equality between men and women? It's a sad reality of a patriarchal society. But the same thing also applies in a inter-tribal marriage, offspring of mixed marriage associate with their father's tribe.
