We are all in constant need of Allah, and whether the trial is one of prosperity or hardship, all of Allah's trials are opportunities for us to trust in Him. Tawakkul is a way of life for the believer, combining the certainty of faith and contentment. This is why Saʿīd ibn Jubayr said, "Trust in Allah is what brings the entire religion together."

Allah promises "to provide for the believer from where he least expects it. And whoever trusts in Allah, He will suffice him."
Hence, Ibn al-Qayyim said, "Tawakkul [relying on Allah] is half of the religion. As for the other half, it is inābah [turning to Allah in all matters and repenting]."
