List Entries and Rank:
#10. Phil Collins Genesis
#9. Ringo Starr The Beatles
#8. Nick Mason Pink Floyd
#7. Mitch Mitchell The Jimi Hendrix Experience
#6. Ginger Baker Cream
#5. Stewart Copeland The Police
#4. Dave Grohl Nirvana/Queens of the Stone Age/Them Crooked Vultures
#3. ?
Sad news everyone, legendary Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart has passed away this week, following his struggle with brain cancer. He was only 67. Let's take a moment to pay tribute to him by sharing in the comments which Rush song was your favorite, and if you ever saw him perform live.
The Trees has to be my favorite. RIP Neil :'(. Should've been #1
Does this mean grohl is the best drummer alive now?
RIP Neil Peart. Time Stand Still is the favorite.
Thanks Watchmojo
The Fear series was my favorite from Rush. Sad he died but glad he’s not suffering anymore.
John Bonham(1948-1980)
Keith Moon(1946-1978)
Neil Peart(1952-2020)
Ginger Baker(1939-2019)
Mitch Mitchell(1946-2008)
Muhammad Abdul Hafizh Heaven has some pretty sweet music, huh? Add to that list Prince, George Michael, Bowie, and Tom Petty, you’ve got yourself one hell of a band!!!
Tucker...Sweet.
Respect.
legalgal12 that’s not too mention George Harrison, John Lennon, Jerry Garcia, Jimi, SRV, Duane Allman, the list goes on forever but imagine the back porch Jams that would go down on the daily!
Little Richard now😭
John Bonham, Keith Moon, and Neil Peart are definitely my three top drummers may they all rest in peace because nobody could ever touch their Raw Talent! As a female drummer myself at the age of five I knew I was different my uncle was a teenager had a decent drum kit in the basement I was always putting in an 8-track tape and making a lot of noise LOL until that noise became something that I never knew I had Within Me I definitely consider it my craft along with singing because my father was a doo-wop singer that new a lot of names back in the day I just love the way it makes me feel to roll across the drums like an ocean wave now that there's so many more females out there which is great it just goes to show that that you have that talent in that drive don't hold yourself back just go out there and take it it's yours for the taken May these drummers continue to inspire the ones that are still here with us each instrument takes a whole lot of practice and a whole lot of years to learn I happen to believe in reincarnation there is a young man by the name of Avery that plays every single drummer to be known to man in this child from the age of 3 years old to now 16 I believe can play anybody style drumming is if he has their soul in him it is unbelievable! Whatever you do just keep rocking on thank you kindly for allowing me to speak I'm 49 years old I was born with rhythm and I'm thankful to the good Lord above amen XOXO
By many John Bonham was considered the best that ever was , but I agree with you moon , Bonham n peart were the greatest .
Neil is the GOAT. His versatility and power is on a whole level. It’s also incredible how he wrote every song for Rush. That’s just pure talent right there.
Somewhere on that list ginger baker and mitch mitchell
DINO DANELLI from The Young Rascals. The Real GOAT
Speaking of female drummers ….Cindy Blackman should be in the top 10
Queen's Roger Taylor is a cracking drummer. He maintains great drumming and lead vocals simultaneously, he also knows how to complement an ensemble and when to stand out
Ah yes, forgot Roger.
Roger Taylor would definitely knock several of these drummers out of the top ten.
Don't forget Roger is also a brilliant song writer/composer.

Bonham doesn't count, it's all about drummers from this planet
LOL, yeah.
😂😂
How about Neil Peart?
@Aquatic Mullet uhh no
Bonzio was the best
R.I.P. Charlie Watts 1941-2021
You will never be forgotten
Of course he won’t be forgotten he was in The Rolling Stones but doesn’t change the fact his drumming was absolute shit. In fact that band really had no real musicians after Brian Jones passed. Not really sure how they stayed famous. Cream three killer albums, two years, and done. They knew when to stop.
@@xeverettx2564 I’m not saying the Rolling Stones are better than cream, I’m just honouring a man who passed recently and who probably inspired many.
@@xeverettx2564 you do realize that Charlie joined the band in 1963. Brian Jones didn’t die until 1969.
@@xeverettx2564 ROFL made my day - please check your standards ; )
btw Cream didn´t "stop", they never were a band to begin with - mostly a fancy project thought out by suits in a boardroom
Charlie Watts not being in here is a nothing short of a disgrace! WatchMojo desperately needs to get their mojo together..
It I absolutely criminal that Jeff Porcaro is not on this list. For those who don't know of him, he was the drummer for Toto, and he was one of the most sought after studio drummers in the world at one time.
He's definitely one of the most recorded studio musicians in history, and has played on hundreds of albums throughout the 70s and 80s. He unfortunately passed at age 38 back in 1992.
yeah, it's a shame that Jeff doesn't appear on this list
He played drums for michael jackson's Thriller album along with some other members of Toto, that should be reason enough to be here, but these kind of UA-cam channels have no idea about music.
That's why he's not on the list, no one knows of him. But yes, he was a very good drummer.
It’s incredible that he played with MJ and Steely Dan. Such an artist that will never be forgotten. He could definitely beat a lot of the people on the list.
and mike portnoy/mike mangini from dream theater
i was born in 1951, did the year 1970 in vietnam.....all these drummers helped me beat my way through the jungles of reality....1960 through 19990 produced the greatest sounds of music and the drums matched my heart beat.....i agree with everything this video says....ginger baker REALLY blew me away....
You couldn't possibly have missed Dino Danelli!
Ian Paice /Deep Purple the most underrated drummer of all time
Ditto
Agreed
Yup.
agreeeee
Completely agree, unfortunately.
No Ian Paice? Paice could out-play at least half the guys on this list, and he was absolutely essential to Deep Purple. Songs like Child in Time, Strange Kind of Woman, or Space Truckin required Paice. Not to mention his solo in The Mule. Ian Paice is so underrated.
Paice could take Bonham's place in Led Zeppelin and do a better job.
Nathan Nicholas Never Ever
Your speaking of live in japan of course ., " Ian Paice on the drums , yesssss "
kevin kühn His timing was different , not better .
Paice, never one to grab the limelight, is underrecognized, whereas the ones listed here are all familiar to the general public. I'd definitely put him in the top ten for his creativity and ability to make his drumming interesting yet cohesive with everything else. One rule of thumb is whether you'd enjoy focusing your ear on just the drumming in a song. That's true with Ginger Baker and Stewart Copeland; it is also true with Paice. Not so with some of the others on this list, but hey, it wasn't put together by musicians.
Rest In Peace, Neil Peart. You were one of my all-time favorite drummers.
I would definitely include Ian Paice of Deep Purple and Jeff Porcaro of Toto and Boz Scaggs. Technicality and exceptional sense of rhythm made them stand out.
Ian Paice will never get the recognition he deserves. I’d personally put him at 4 and Nick Mason at 5.
I'm with you, Rick. Exceptional musicians but under appreciated and contributions overlooked. I would also put Mitch Mitchem (Jimi Hendrix) at the very top of amazing drummers. @@piccolorick9269
Yeah agree with both of you
Ian Paice from Deep Purple. Just incredible. How is he not near, if not on the top, of this list.
Agree
I completely agree. I figured Bonham would be #1. I was curious where they would put Paice. THEN HE'S NOT ON HERE AT ALL? Seriously, that's nuts.
Mojo has become a troll site. They always do this. They put John Belushi at #6 of the SNL list, when he might be the best skit performer of all time. A pre-millennial ignorant shit show. I mean you could put Mick Tucker of Sweet at #9 of this list.
How is Bill Ward not on the list either?
Ian Pace from Deep Purple
What makes John Bonham great is Page was a spontaneous improviser when zeppelin played live. How he keeps up with him is ridiculously amazing. This one point about him has always been overlooked.
Great point. Also u should have mentioned about the time signatures. The drumming on black dog looks simple when u hear it but when u do a breakdown of the entire track, it just shakes you. Seriously, The Guy is a drumming genius.
@@Andey1954 truly genius
You’re right
@@Andey1954 exactly, guitar there is 3/4 and drum is 4/4, they match once every 12 times
@@robbevandenabbeele9039 well, that is actually Kashmir, in Black Dog (if I remember correctly) the guitar is in 7/8 and the drums are in 4/4
I am so glad that you mentioned Mitch Mitchell.... He just never got the respect he deserved....,. It's hard to shine when one of the best guitarist is out front
Let's give a special shout out to Karen Carpenter. She could also sing and drum at the same time.
Drummer of the year in 1975!
I'd forgotten about her, but you are correct. I could not stand the music she made, but indeed she was quite a drummer, which surprised me greatly.
@@andrewvida3829 I saw a Neil Peart interview about 20 years ago where he said Karen Carpenter was one of his favorite drummers. She was very talented on the drums and being the lead singer.
Ian Paice, Cozy Powell, Carl Palmer, Bill Buford...Your list is wanting.
Can't agree with you more.
Everything WM puts out totally sucks.
reni
No list of great drummers is complete without Cozy Powell.
Danny Carey. Just check out some Tool, like ‘Lateralus’ , where the song is totally constructed in Fibonacci’s sequence ... how many rock songs and drumming structures can you say that about? or "Rosetta Stoned" off of '10,000 Days'
If anything, this track is a testament to Danny Carey’s skill as he quickly shifts between 4/4, 5/8, 5/4, 11/8, 3/4, and 6/4 time signatures to drive the band. Here is a video about Lateralus. ua-cam.com/video/wS7CZIJVxFY/v-deo.html
Hey, you can't forget Bill Ward with Black Sabbath.
Bill Ward definitely top 5 somewhere. Heavy Metal or not.
Yes and anyone that disagrees can watch him preform war pigs live in Paris 1970
They mention that they exclude heavy metal.
bill ward ? , this list is week

Thank you for your comment, Danielle. My biggest regret was that I never saw Rush play live. A friend of mine lent me the Permanent Waves album in 1981 and I became absolutely hooked on them. It seems you and I have excellent taste in music.
Carl Palmer deserves to be on that list. And for me Keith Moon will always be the beast unleashed on the drums.

I saw a lot of concerts in the 70's and since. I always thought that the best rock drummers I saw in person were Steward Copeland (The Police), Danny Seraphine (Chicago), John Bonham, and did see Buddy Rich and his band. But I did miss Keith Moon as I didn't see The Who until 1989. Watch Keith's playing on the Who Live at Isle of Wight 1970 (now on You Tube) and say that you have seen anybody else play that!

WatchMojo has an obsession in forgetting the existence of *DEEP PURPLE*
Not only WatchMojo. unfortunately.
Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and those other old 70's 60's bands that started the distortion and scream on guitar and heavy beats are considered heavy metal. They don't sound like it but they are. Even beatles had the song Helter Skelter that people consider heavy metal. Other than that he is an amazing drummer and should be here but Mojo said only rock drummers.
THEY FORGOT TO MENTION IAN PAICE. I'M DISAPPOINTED

he's 11th ;-)
Moon & Baker are my favorite so happy to see them. I think Stewart did Klark Kent before the Police. Libido Torpedo!
As a former drummer, I was surprised to not see Butch Trucks of the Allman Brothers on the list. Saw him in person several times and was amazed at his talent.
My boy Bonzo rocked like nobody else will ever rock, that guy was a fucking beast

Jáchym Šilha He was better than Ringo!! Come on!!
There are so many greats and I think the banter is great on favorites getting left off. IMHO, the MOST underrated drummer of all time has got to be Jerry Mercer of April Wine. I saw them live and it was mindblowing how good he is. My band covered "I Like to Rock". Percussively the toughest song I've ever had to cover.......Without a doubt deserves a place in the top ten greatest.....
but who would you bump off the list to get him in the top ten?
Steve Gadd absolutely deserved a spot hands down. He’s by far in my top three. Definitely the most versatile drummer of all time without much of a contest. His technical skill is definitely on the level of Neil Peart, Moon, Copeland, Baker, and Bonzo or even above. His work with Steely Dan, Weather Report, Return to Forever, Bee Gees, and The Crusaders is absolutely marvelous. Definitely top three without any questions asked.
People forget the fact that kick pedals have developed alot.
Bonzo was stomping on a tin can, still made 16th triplets happen on a single pedal
Bonham was and will always be the most over rated drummer in the music industry. Ringo comes in a close second...

@@mr_ozzio5095 no they sacked him because he was a lousy drummer and never improved that's what John Lennon said and I believe him

Ringo was underrated because he was a very basic drummer, who got famous only because of his band. I don't think he is even worth mentioning in videos like these, and leave out for example Mike Portnoy or Alan White. John and Neil and maybe Dave are absolutely correct, but the rest? What the hell, top 10 drummers? BASED ON WHAT?
Thanks for your hilarious Top Ten List! It makes for a great spoof!
Fav drummers also Peart, Bonham. but thanks for including Mitchell. We used say aloud, how or who can possibly put drums to Hendrix? This guy could! Even put drumming in the Star Spangled Banner
I'm just glad to see Nick Mason on this list...he was EXACTLY what Pink Floyd needed.
Looseel Scott he was too low on this list IMO... when he was young he’d beat the heck out of the drums just like Keith moon and John Bonham.
but no danny carey... funny... but that gay fom the beatles... ridicolous...^^
Seleenwinter 666: Lol! "That gay f(r)om the beatles!!!" A direct quote with as much attention to detail as the old lefty wanker, rich as all hell Ringo, deserves! Legend via proximity with more chops on his head than on his kit! Now they straight up said no metal so Danny from Tool is out, but it's hard to imagine a world where Nick Mason didn't drop the acid & beats that inspired the double bass, extended rolls crescendoing beyond the land of ghost and grace notes that would go on to lysergically & freneticly appeal to such a like minded Carey. Plus he was born under a Peart Moon so...
@@seelenwinter6662 Paul was the best drummer in the Beatles
Nick Mason made list out of sheer empathy from others. Going more than a decade without putting together two consecutive straight beats....ain't drumming, its ACID come alive

Alexander Wilkinson Moon - Speed Bonham - Groove. I give Bonham extra points for keeping up with Page Live as he was a ridiculously sloppy player even though it sounded good.
@@Nred9999
About time someone mentioned that Page is sloppy. Was in a car once and the driver turned on the radio.
A live cut of some band was playing. Had no idea who it was until the lead guitar started playing. I told the driver "That has to be Led Zeppelin. Nobody plays that sloppy!" Sure enough.
He's probably a nice guy but he is the sloppiest guitar player I ever heard, that made it big. Oh' well.
Words can’t describe how much nostalgia the opening theme of Watchmojo brings me. This video was my launching pad into music. I was like “oh so drummers hold their hands like this…?” And that was all I needed.
Ringo came from the song school of drumming. He took it as his responsibility to first keep time, he was often called the human metronome. Second was to do all he could to enhance the melody, make everyone else sound good. He inspired me. He also inspired several drummers on the list one of which was Bill Ward.of Black Sabbath, Clive Bunker of Jethro Tull and Frank Beard ZZ Top.
Well said. Bravo. Every rock drummer worth his salt, says they were influenced by Ringo Starr. Problem is ppl think you are only a great drummer if you can do 20 min drum solos. All 20 min drum solos do is give folk the opportunity to go to the toilet.

I am a huge Rush fan so Neil is number one in my book. But, I also think he is all around the best. He is very professional and is almost 60 and can still nail a drum solo same as he did 30 years ago maybe even better. Even when people would have considered his skill peaked in the 90s he still worked to improve his drumming.
There isn't a drummer on this list that could hang with Peart, at least from a technical standpoint. The guy may not be human. If he pulled his face off revealing a robotic core, I wouldn't be surprised. BTW...my favourite by far too. His skill went beyond drums too with some of the smartest lyrics in rock history.
Style-wise is a different story. Moon, and to a lesser extent, Bonham, had their own styles. Bonham's has been copied ad nauseum, and rightfully so.

When I learnt drums during school dinner hour because the food was so naff my early influences were Ringo Starr (Beatles) John Coghlan (Status Quo) Pick Withers (Dire Straits) Later influences were Led Zeppelin and Rush.. The grounds man at the school taught me in the music room for the eye watering cost of 10p for the hour.. Mid 80s and my dear old nan gave me the money for my first drum kit.. Up to then I was using upturned paint tubs.. Still got my original sticks to this day.. Best balance ever. The Art teacher recorded me and my mates who played the guitar and keyboards on his 8 track when we did a school assembly once.. From that day on the bullies left us alone.. One day in rehearsal the headmaster walked in and the room fell silent.. We thought he had come to complain about the noise.. He sat down at the piano and began to play Blue Moon. So I joined in.. Happy days.. I still have the recording of the recording lying around on a cassette gathering dust..
You have sticks that survived for 30 years?

I’m always so surprised that I never see The Rev or Joey Jordison in any of the best drummers lists, both are insanely fast and even better at writing drum parts. Phill Collins wrote and sang way better songs than the rev and Don Hanley writing Hotel California and singing the song among other classics. The rev is a legendary drummer but not better than those two

Carl Palmer of ELP should have made the list. He blew many of us away with his incredible long solos at live concerts in the late 60's and 70's
Sooo true!! Its only us older dudes who remember the great music from that era: ELP, KING CRIMSON, MOTT THE HOOPLE, MONTROSE, URIAH HEAP, AND THE LIST GOES ON..
@@jacocharzukanamericanautho2422 You are definitly in a league all by your lonesome Jaco.
He is soooo underrated
Totally agree. Listen to ‘Food for your soul’ and after that you will be convinced.
@@ricpowers1475 yes, right; and I`m missing Barriemore Barlow (Jethro Tull)
My favs from this compilation are Neil Peart, Phil Collins, John Bonham, Keith Moon
Cozy Powell, John Bonham, Ian Paice, Neil Peart, Mitch Mitchell, Carl Palmer, Stewart Copeland, Nick Mason, Phil Collins, Alex Van Halen.
Bobby Rock , Tommy Aldridge , great live drummers, tremendous groove, total powerhouses,
John Densmore deserved a spot the way he was able to co ordinate his style with Jim Morrison’s unique song writing was incredible
100%Right The most original band of the 60’s Densmore was brilliant! THE DOORS FOREVER!!!
I totally agree. Great drummer!
Damned right you are!
Another snub for Densmore just like Robby on guitar
Oh yeah, Densmore is a superb Drummer.
The people that make these lists are biased and lack knowledge.
RIP Neil Peart one of the best 1952-2020
We got to hear Rush/Neil play "The Seeker" by the Who on their covers album, I'd love to have heard Keith Moon try a few Rush tracks ;)
I miss at least one:
Roger Taylor from Queen
He could play also great and played all the Queen songs. There were also some hard drum beats in there too
I was looking to see if anyone had mentioned Roger Taylor. Technically great as well as being a top vocalist and song writer.
All drummers are talented in their own way, but to name my top ones, they are John Bonham, Roger Taylor (Queen) Bill Ward, Charlie Watts, Ringo, Alex Van Halen, Bill Bruford, and Rick Allen( Def Leppard) to name some
They forgot to name Carl Palmer, the best drummer I’ve ever seen and heard, he played in Emerson , Lake & Palmer group
1000 percent He is the best soloist drummer of all time next to Buddy Rich of course And they were friends
@@jerrynappi5893 Agreed!!!
And to be honest,,Palmer is or was John Bonham favorite!
There were always be people or drummers forgotten just like USA presidents it will never be the 10 best or the best just so much talent and controversy let just say that all those drummers and other more leave some signal in our existence and there will be some other more in the future , are you leaving a signal 😁
Palmer is simply a beast. He seems often overlooked. He didn't have sort of the same fame as Bonzo, Peart, Moon ect
Its amazing that phil Collins was that good at drums and vocals
Is there any concert footage where he sings and play drums at the same time?
@@eduardoGentile720 I'm not sure
@@andrewmasc3174 ok, thank you anyway ;-)
@@eduardoGentile720 No problem, sorry that I couldnt be of help
@@jacocharzukanamericanautho2422 My bad, you're right
Pert, Bonham, and Moon were the top three. Hands down the rest r in the top 100. So many great drummers in the mix today. The metal music has changed drummers forever...
.
Thank you for sharing this music.
There is no "best" and opinions will always vary - however, whoever wrote that script obviously did their homework. Bravo.
Bets comment in this vid
how about steve best
Buddy Rich is the best drummer but it said rock drummers!
Yeah I mean, I’m not gonna object to anyone on the list. Though I do kinda wish Bill Bruford was on there, it’s mainly because he’s one of my favorites.
@@deveryshepardson3640 no he isn't
Incredible, Ian Paice isn't in this list, I can't believen it! He's undoubtably one of the best of all times!
It's a watch mojo video, they go for the popular names. I mean, Ringo is on the list and Peart isn't number one.
This list is for human drummers only
@@aaronmock6157 thats because Peart isnt the greatest
@@villainousappetite8841Bonham>peart
@@worshipkyama9566 all day everyday.
I remember you.
Been listening to Dire Straits and Queen still?
John Bonham !! Definitely #1.
But when I was a kid & he was just getting started with Led Z the best was Ginger Baker !!
I would like to put Carmine Appice and Corky Laing to this list
I can Phil it Collin in the air tonight
That's Pretty Good,dude...lol
Danny Carey from Tool has some pretty technical songs. Great drummer as well. Tool tend to fall under the rock category so he shouldve been in there.
I was going to say that too
Indeed
Easily should be in!!!
Danny carey should've been third, Peart second, Bohnam first, Keith Moon is overrated IMO (still great but no better than Neil)
Danny Carey definitely should've been in top 3
I agree with everyone on this list with the exception of Phil Collins.
Other great drummers you missed are as follows...
Charlie Watts - Rolling Stones
Ian Paice - Deep Purple
John Densmore - The Doors
Carl Palmer - Arthur Brown, Atomic Rooster, ELP
and last, but not least...
Maureen "Moe" Tucker - Velvet Underground
I really miss the superb "less is more" drummer Charlie Watts ... alongside Keith Richards, he is the one who shaped the typical sound of the Rolling Stones like no other
Charlie Watts gave that Swing to the Stones that made every song a lil something special
Certainly Charlie Watts with no doubt deserves to be on the list.
@@albertopalma1663 The drum sound that Charlie Watts conjured up from this small, rather "beginner-friendly" drum set was phenomenal and helped shape the unique Stones sound.
Led Zep definitely the best all around package here. Strength in every department.
That & The Who, not a weak link in the OG!
There are quite a few bands where it's "strength in every department". Rush, ELP, Yes etc.
Björn the bands you mentioned are not in the 10 bands on this list that my comment applied to. Best Regards.
But this isn't about all around package, it's about best drummers. Zeppelin is my favorite band of ALL TIME, but there's no WAY anyone but Neil Peart should be #1 on this list. No one even comes CLOSE to his caliber, not even Bonzo.
BEST BAND OF ALL TIME.
Any love for Bill Bruford?? He played in Yes, Genesis and King Crimson. That's quite the resume..
Don’t leave out U.K., Kazumi Watanabe, and his own outstanding instrumental band. 😉
I agree 110% with Bill Bruford in this list.
❤❤❤ 1; Keith Moon ❤❤❤ - 2; Cozy Powell - 3; John Bonham - 4; Ginger Baker - 5; Ian Paice - 6; Cesar Zuiderwijk - 7; Mitch Mitchell; 8; Alex Van Halen - 9; Chris Slade - 10; Phil Collins (my favourite 10) 🙂
I was kind of expecting to see Roger Taylor there.
Anyways, all of that drummers are fantastic!
Avril Engel uhhhhh??
Avril Engel Roger's good, I've seen them twice in concert and they kick ass
John Bonham was a fuckin great drummer and may his legacy live on
Yes
bonzo the best
you aint fucking lying
Yeah definitely
And a hideous bully, an alleged rapist, a wife beater and coke fiend, and not as good as Keith Moon, but still, a good point, well made, xxx
#10: Phil Collins (Genesis)
#9: Ringo Starr (The Beatles)
#8: Nick Mason (Pink Floyd)
#7: Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience)
#6: Ginger Baker (Cream)
#5: Stewart Copeland (The Police)
#4: Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Queens of the Stone Age/Them Crooked Vultures)
#3: Neil Peart (Rush)
#2: Keith Moon (The Who)
#1: John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
Bill ward take a min and listen close black sab
Grohl made the list please no bill ward crazy
What is people’s fascination with Dave Grohl?
It's not 100% like my own list, but it's a solid list. Honorable mentions like Clem Burke, Bruce Gary, and Charlie Watts could have slid in there pretty easily, too. I'm really glad Nick Mason was in the thick of that list... these days he is all too often forgotten as one of rock's greatest.
If Neil Peart and Bonham are not the top 2 this list is null and void.
Patrick Foresee Sorry, list is 100% accurate for top 3, see post below!
@TrampolineLemons Lol, no way. Keith Moon's style was incredibly original, but greater than Peart? Just the breakdown on Freewill beats anything Moon ever thought about doing.
@TrampolineLemons Don't think so. I'd reverse them. The longevity and volume of Neil's work is far beyond the rest. He's the lyricist for the best band in the land
Add Baker as #3. His jazz background led to a unique beat. Listen closely to "White Room:.
@TrampolineLemons Not even close. Moon was just out of control and did a lot of fills at random. Peart is a technical master and there is no better drummer save Buddy Rich
