Hello Thanks for the video I live in California I am buying my second rental property in Cleveland Ohio. Lender wants me to purchase under an LLC. A couple of Questions 1)For Agent Name on the Ohio website @ 9minutes stopped me last night. I cannot change the state of Ohio. Would an external service work for this like Legal Zoom? Then I have to pay them every year about $200 I already have a generic physical mailbox in California. I do have 2 different property managers in Ohio. 2)The person signing cannot be the new limited liability company being formed? Can that be myself? Iit is just myself setting up the LLC. 3)Will Ohio give you an EIN number at the end of this process? Thanks for your help
Welcome! Congrats on buying your second rental property. Regarding your questions, first I've used the Ohio website many times and never had a problem with the State's website. I have not used Zoom so I can't offer any suggestions. Regarding your Q2, if I don't use my attorney's name I list my name. Regarding Q3, you get the EIN here, www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/apply-for-an-employer-identification-number-ein-online
