Very nice presentation and Q& A. My dad was an accountant working for many Indian companies and his favorite expression was " sab chor hai! How right he was! So it's only a small fraction that is honest! Which brings us to a philosophical discussion as to whether majority of Indians right from birth are surrounded by an environment that breeds dishonesty!!
Why is it that some managements are able to build great companies while 99 others cant? How Seabiscuit does only Seabiscuit knows, its hard for ordinary mortals to replicate. Terry Smith is an absolute legend btw.

Excellent! Wonderful to have such a critical,unbiased objective assessment of the corporate world The book should be prescribed in all colleges ,IIMs and others . While the presentation part was very enjoyable, the moderator asking such naive questions in his monolog is very irritating to say the least. He should have read the book first then frame the interaction in more intelligent way would have been more fruitful.
The best template I got was that good investing is like playing good test cricket. As an Indian I definitely understand the nuances of test cricket. That is the template, et voila!
Slightly confused. Marcellus team says there are just around 24(2 Dozen) companies that fit investment criteria(3 filters)..but their portfolio's 'Kings of Capital' and 'Little Champs' has around 50 companies..combined..

you need to focus on understanding the business and its various levers well enough to figure out it is screaming at you to buy or sell. If you need excel for it, you don't know the business well enough.

Financial investment can be emotionally exhausting/frustrating in a case where inconsistency in trade wins is much. Positive results are guaranteed more if one works with a reliable professional. My most sincere take though!!
