That quote was not from Frederick Douglas, but W.E.B. Du Bois

Let us research “who” really has oversight of Banks, outside of said, “ Founders”. President Lincoln said, “I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.”

Just another link in the chain of our story here. Nevertheless we must move forward with time and lay our claim on now and then.

The term African-American didn’t originate until the time Jesse Jackson ran for president

This was part of the plan to transition the WHOLE country including so called "white" people and future populations from the old way money and labor co-existed. In this part of the world back then working, money and making a living was horrible. Sometimes your own dad lent you out for work for years at a time true story! hence the word that never kind of existed, slavery. This again was an experimental transition that eventually worked. There were a LOT of NOT African people of color who were already living here working and doing bad business that were now FREED from the "slavery like"contracts that most of the hated Southern people utilized. They would now be null and void and FREE to participate in this new northern way of living. These bankers whom included people of color were shrewd and cunning they "banked" on the people who already carried the nation that they would would prop up the NEW way of living hence the civil war. Some might say the freedman's bank was not a fail after all. #triggered

The Panic of 1873 affected all banks in America and many countries overseas. Not just darker-skinned people.
