My favorite part about this scene is when Viktor says, "That device can't be." Which means Ekko and Heimerdinger literally created something that CANNOT EXIST in their world. That's why when the strands of light started coming down from the sky, it missed Ekko. He is literally living "out of time." He's a ghost to Viktor's gaze because he and Jayce are the only two that have been "touched" by the arcane. It just goes to show that if he didn't return from the wild rune, his world would have been destroyed. He unironically saved the world. copied from @Mogglen in another video
@blackberry6610 I think it's because of the ruins, remember Viktor had to give Jayce different ruins after each timeline. He did this till he had given Jayce the one that would break the cycle. My theory is, that this ruin was the one that worked for Ekko and his time machine. I believe the previous ruins did not allow Ekko to complete the machine, so he got stuck in the other timeline till it Viktor turned back the clock again.
@@blackberry6610 I don't think the other Ekkos stayed with her because they wanted to, like the comment above me said, Ekko and Heimer found out about timetraveling when Ekko reversed Jayce's acceleration rune, which is the rune Viktor (as the mysterious mage) gave to little Jayce. So Viktor kept trying different possibilities until he found the one were Jayce can bring him back his humanity, which happens to be the one were Ekko is able to experiment with the correct rune and go back to his time.

The colors he see's in the sky even match Powder's color pallet, too good. That scene in ep 7 might be the most intense emotion I've felt from a show. That feeling you get when you wake up from a dream that you wanted to stay in forever.

its so beautiful the fact that powder says i have never seen you give up on anything and in this moment he defice the arcane so he can go back and save everyone
Ekko has always been a favorite after reading his lore, his comic, and seeing the trailer. This is a young man who's had to repeatedly watch his loved ones die repeatedly and continues to fight to save them despite the odds. In those rare moments where he's not able to save them, he still looks to make the most of that time. He's a man with a great power but it's still never enough in many instances but he tries regardless.
Ekko was the only one thinking of saving everyone, instead of looking at what could have been. He even threw away his perfect world, to save everyone. Ekko truly is the "Boy Savior"
My theory as to how he managed to pull it off: When he was testing it before (in the other dimension) we saw Heimer die after 4 seconds, but Ekko himself was just fine. In this scene no one else is really around him, except the robots and Viktor. Sure, the bodies of others like Jayce are around but they are already under Viktors influence as he gets everyone into some sort of hive mind. So they are not “really” there (if that makes sense). Ekko, knowing the limit killed Heimer last time, pulls the clock back MORE because the first time he was not effected by it (he also needs to rewind back anyway to get out of their grasp). There is no one he really needs to worry about rn since if the impact kills anyone, it’ll probably just be the freaky robot things. Then he launches it at viktor since he’ll feel the impact of it as he didn’t rewind. Sadly it only somehow does 0.1 damage to him but it still worked in the end lol.
In my mind, I think the damage Echo’s device did was more spiritual than physical. I think it partially rewinded his state of mind back to before he was consumed by the idea of “Glorious Evolution,” giving Jayce the chance to connect to Victor and pull him out of what he had become.
Powder was there when he was testing the 4 second. My theory is that the Z Drive affects magical beings (yordles, Arcane Viktor) much harsher than normal beings. The Z Drive even left Ekko's hand and he did not get even a scratch from the magical explosion.
Selflessness, heroism, love, empathy. Every detail, the blue sky, the facial expressions, everything counts. Every word is chosen with care, everything is told with perfection. This is the magic of this show. Incredible story that was worth telling. Art that transcends the human being. Incredible. Just incredible. Ekko will remain in me all my life.

Same here! I've been rewatching Episode 7 over and over again too. Ekko has definitely become my favorite character. He could've stayed in such a beautiful world, but he never hesitated for a moment. He knew he had to return to his own world, no matter how broken it was, because there were people there who needed him
Ekko escaped because he touched the Arcane. He was not seen by viktor, if you watch carefully his "evolutions" did not move right after bc they only see a "light" as shown when Jayce is talking to Viktor. Watch it again and you all will realize that
And just when my heart was a little healed from the finale😭 What an incredible edit that honestly felt like it was part of the show. Ekko getting the extra motivation because the sky color reminding him of powdur make so much sense especially cuz he was the only one who was able to break out of the soul grab :,3
I clicked on this video expecting a short but concise breakdown of not-confirmed mechanics of time travel and the Arcane. Instead I got a very touching clip that somehow said so much more than a 30 minute video ever could.
It's because the countless lives are on the line, and it's also because of she being a part of it. Ekko, the boy savior can spend hours, days and years fighting for the seconds of others.
We got so much incredible storytelling and closure in this final episode. But Ekko was Robed! There were all the building blocks for gorgeous catharsis but they chose not to give us this glimpse!!! Thank you for this edit!! So so beautiful
Sometimes the heart remembers more then the brain.... This episode broke the heart. What could have been and what was lost. I hope she's alive anmd Echo finds her again. in what ever they bring out next.
I burn my decency for someone else’s future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I’ll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything!” -Ekko
This is one of the most beautiful edits, I've seen it's not one of those edits oversaturated with effects and some other bs; it actually tries to tell a story.
This is the most beautiful Arcane edit I have seen. Thank you for making this, it made me feel the exact same way I felt watching episode 7 in season 2.
i think jayce and ekko didnt get the strings automatically attatched to them unlike everyone else because they were directly affected by the anomaly and had been to different realities exposed to those universes' own anomaly so it didn't detect them as part of its own reality, so ekko and jayce had much more resistance to viktor's influence
Just my idea, maybe Ekko was the only one to resist Victor's power because of his strong mentality. Let me elaborate. Everyone is focused in the passed and future thus the fear in their mind of what they might lose if they don't succeed. While Ekko never think twice for a second to lose everything that he have to save what he can at the moment, thus he was so focused on the present, connected to his power the time loop. He knows the importance of the present time. And so with him focusing his goal and focusing on the present, his mentality was the thing that made him resist Victor's power.
It's romantic and all, but I think he had plenty things despite powder, that he wanted to save. His tree-town for example or VI or what's left of powder in jinx
Ekko and powder are the most tragic characters in the show, yet ekko never lost himself life powder, at the end jinx won, she is free from the cycle, found a new reason to live a future, but Ekko lost it all, so everyone could have a future.
I thought this was gonna be like an explanation on how ekko did escape the soul grab and while the video was kind of an explanation the moment I heard the music and saw powder I just got full body chills like this is the first thing to make me feel like that I almost started tearing up

Ekko is locked in! If the other reality wasn't able to contain Ekko, then of course, this too won't able to contain him.
the fact that the song is called In Another Life is very fitting
We got so much incredible storytelling and closure in this final episode. But Ekko was Robed! There were all the building blocks for gorgeous catharsis but they chose not to give us this glimpse!!!
Thank you for this edit!! So so beautiful
Thank you so much for this. In Another Life is probably the single best song you or anyone could have chosen for this and it fits so perfectly
This was beautifully editted well done. But also damn you for making me feel these E7 feelings again.
Everything!”
-Ekko
Aaah, I was waiting for someone to do this edit, and you sir did not disappoint.
Perfect music to go with the perfect multiversal edit.
How is this even more emotional
You just made this scene SO much better, man. I’m gonna go cry again now
This is the best arcane edit I've ever seen, I actually started crying 😭
god this edit makes me cry... Our boy deserved so much more for LITERALLY SAVING THE WORLD
This is one of the most beautiful edits, I've seen it's not one of those edits oversaturated with effects and some other bs; it actually tries to tell a story.
This is the most beautiful Arcane edit I have seen. Thank you for making this, it made me feel the exact same way I felt watching episode 7 in season 2.
Ekko the most selfless guy in the series. He gave up everything, saved everyone and received no thanks
i think jayce and ekko didnt get the strings automatically attatched to them unlike everyone else because they were directly affected by the anomaly and had been to different realities exposed to those universes' own anomaly so it didn't detect them as part of its own reality, so ekko and jayce had much more resistance to viktor's influence
Using the EEAAO soundtrack of the scene where Evelyn is realizing the beauties and lights of her life is really just Chef Kiss on top of this
just as beautiful as Ekko kept his promised to keep his memory not getting erased
Seeing these scenes. Tears always comes next
Viktor had nothing to offer him. Ekko already saw perfection.
Exactly!!!
"Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind"
-Alternate Universe Powder 😭😭
the peaceful time when ekko ,Heimerdingerr and Powder work together to create a unique device
Beautiful edit, excellent choice of music and perfect moments of choosing.
Bro gave up a happy life, to protect his og universe. My man is a goddamn hero!
cuz he's THAT guy, my guy
It's romantic and all, but I think he had plenty things despite powder, that he wanted to save. His tree-town for example or VI or what's left of powder in jinx
this actually felt like it couldve been part of the show, made me want to cry
instantly started crying when i heard the everything everywhere all at once music
Cuz ekko has a strong willpower, always had it
this is so beautifully made, I'm surprised the vid doesn't have more views
Ekko and powder are the most tragic characters in the show, yet ekko never lost himself life powder, at the end jinx won, she is free from the cycle, found a new reason to live a future, but Ekko lost it all, so everyone could have a future.
probably bro got better soul snatching from jinx
😂😂😂
Absolutely beautiful edit man
The music. The feels. You really made this scene...i love it 🥲
I thought this was gonna be like an explanation on how ekko did escape the soul grab and while the video was kind of an explanation the moment I heard the music and saw powder I just got full body chills like this is the first thing to make me feel like that I almost started tearing up
Got me over here cryin' in the club rn
And everyone in the club just turn in to arcane s2 ep7 right? :(
Ekko is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will
not the everything everywhere all at once music 😭
Ekko is also a homophone for echo.
Through sheer force of fucking will of course
Not the everything, everwhere, all at once ost 😭😭
Bro im crying, i was expecting some lore based conspiranoic theory man 😭
one simple answer ekko is amazing best character ever to exist
Wow that was awesome, what a great mashup
This is beautiful, thank you.
our badass secret protagonist
Fr ekko came in clutch at the end.
