I feel your pain, happened to me 3 times in saltwater, 2 amberjacks and 1 monster king mackerel when I was fishing with light tackle. The reel didn’t break on me it was line and snap failure. But the feeling of hooking a big fish on light tackle is insane, my heart was beating so hard and I felt helpless, the fish was so strong it’s impossible to reel it even a meter closer to you, cause every time I reel it in a bit it takes off. At the end 1 of the fish opened a snap, the other 2 cut my line in the rocks. After that I got heavy gear and of course the fish didn’t bite on the heavy setup 😂
This was a big cat, sad moment with the reel break… This is why I always go with shimano, had similar experience with daiwa reels in the mid price range, Shimano never disappoints!
Yeah mate, was a good one ... kind of shallow water and big currents too. Agree with you on the reels ... most of my reels are from Shimano even though my first 5 spinning reels were all Daiwa. Cheers buddy and thanks 🤘🍻

@@AnEm_Fishing Cheers bro 🍻🦾
This is like...the worst nightmare. Catching the fish of your life and the setup sabotages you....
Yeah, sometimes this happens. Hope to have it again on the other end of the line. Thanks buddy 🍻🤘
Sper să fii învățat ceva.... Cumpăra mulinetă shimano 😅
hahahaha ... e singura mulineta Daiwa in uz ;)
@@Vincenzo.Tofani mai avuto problemi con Shimano ... a parte qualche piccola cosa dovuta a un normale utilizzo. ciao ciao ...
🍻👍
Thanks buddy 🤘🍻
mai bine ramai pe shimano :)
Hahaha ... da, asta in condițiile in care primele mele 4 mulinete mai serioase au fost toate de la Daiwa. Salutari ...
@@AnEm_Fishing scuzele mele atunci :)
hahahahaha ... numai bine ;)
Yeah mate, completely agree with you. If you check the video, you can see that at a certain point I was trying to create a loop on my fingers, but luckily realized quick how stupid was that and changed my mind quickly. Thanks for your advice man 🙏🍻
@@AnEm_Fishing
I love your videos!!! asp fishing that I like so much ..... the poor man's tarpon !! lol!!! your live comments are just awesome I have only recently subscribed to your channel and it is a great pleasure to follow you.
Thanks a lot mate for support and consideration, really appreciate and appreciate every feedback that I receive ... really glad that you’re enjoying my videos. As you saw, I’m also crazy for the asp 😂. Cheers mate and glad to see you here 🤘🍻
Era troppo per l’attrezzatura, peccato! 🎣💪🏻
Oh shit
Huh ... 😡🥲
Sei in Po giusto?
si si ... e il Po ;)
wow bro....
wow !!! you were unlucky :( such a big catfish needs a boat, it's very difficult to get it off the shore ..:/ 🚀🚀🦾🦾
Yeah I know, but quite sure that I would have made it. Unfortunately the reel broke and I didn’t had any chance. Thanks mate and cheers 🍻🤘
that reel is a bit weak, you need 5000 size for these kind of monsters
yeah, I completely agree with you. this is not my normal setup for this conditions, but just happened to catch it on it. usually I would go with a stronger rod and a Shimano Saragosa 8000 ... cheers man ...
Bad Daiwa :(
Unfortunately couldn’t handle the pressure 😁
3000 reel for giant fish not recommended
The reel is 3500 and handled a 2,3 meters catfish in the past plus some others around 1,7-1,9. But yeah, for everything that goes over 1,9 it’s a little bit to small. Cheers mate ...
saddest thing i have ever seen :(
Yeah, definitely wasn’t happy that the fight ended like this ... cheers mate 🍻
I 'm sorry for you...
Thanks buddy 👍🍻
OMG, what a fight!!!!!!!! Sa inteleg ca in locul latratului de caine erau injuraturi de sfinti si cruci si toate cele...so sorry man, sucks big time.

Salut.Pacat de poza ratata
multumesc frumos ... imi pare rau si mie. data viitoare va fi mai OK. numai bine ...
Made in China
I think that it’s made in Thailand … but yeah, I was really disappointed about that failure. Cheers man 🤘🍻
Among Daiwa and Shimano proucts, MSRP $300-400 or higher products are Made in Japan. Products sold at lower are mostly made at factories outside Japan, like Thailand, Malaysia and etc. The Daiwa reels I own are made in Vietnam.
Speriamo bene ... ciao e Grazie 🤘🍻
