NICK & NORA is a musical with a book by Arthur Laurents, lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and music by Charles Strouse. Opened at he Marquiis Theatre Broadway on December 8, 1991.
I always have wondered if a revival of Nick & Nora would be successful today. I've heard that one of the main reasons why the show didn't do well was because people so closely associated the characters with Myrna and William. Now that 20 more years have passed, it seems like fewer and fewer people know the Thin Man series or Nick and Nora, so a musical about them might seem like a fresh idea. However, theatre people tend to be more well read and cultured, so is revival may very well not succeed.
The title does not clue any built-in audience of Dashiell Hammett's THE THIN MAN series - and a missed opportunity can be blamed on such a lapse of savvy about Branding. A similar screw up occurred with JOHN CARTER dropping the OF MARS from the title. Who makes such idiotic decisions such as this?
LOVE that woman!!
Bostwick was also in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Even the commercial seems unconvincing. Ran for only a week!
