Hi Jessica! I just had my 3 year clean and sober birthday yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you for your channel ❤️ you’re so inspiring to me, especially the way you treat people! Much love
Absolutely doing the time is the easiest thing ever! It’s when you get out and have to move back in with parents, find a job, save up for a car and pay for rides, save up even more to move out and get your own place again. Sitting in jail is easy. Rebuilding your life again is the challenging part. I had to do that like five times from the age of 21 to the age of 34. I was very foolish with my decision making during my alcoholic times. I never thought that alcohol would ruin my life but it did in different ways than I assumed it would. Thanks for reading. Life definitely got better from the age of 34 to now I am 42.
Girl!!!! I love u. Not feeling well either today. So I haven't even made it past the hot dog and I love your brutal honesty. I have been told myself that people love my brutal honesty. I am too old (46) to play games. My daughter is 24 and u sound like the conversation I have with her.

For jobs in prison, how do you get them? Do you get assigned, have to apply, or can just ask for what job you want if the job has an opening? Can you do a video on what it was like to have a job in prison if you haven’t already?
You remind me of myself in recovery been clean 10 yrs and I have made a lot of mistakes in my past but you just gotta keep moving love your channel so truthful and honest about addiction
Just know your beautiful and amazing, inside and out. Any man in their right mind would gladly treat you like the queen you have grown to become. Never settle, you and your babies deserve the stars and the moon Jessica
The assumption that prison changes u depends on the amount of time you do. The first time I went in for 18 months it didn't change me at all. The last time for 8 years definitely did
@@saraa.4295 the difference between 8 years out here and 8 years inside is astronomical. Prison is constant drama and sadness with moments of joy. Because of all the drama it's a pressure cooker for your mind and body. The best example of this is a domestic violence victim. But 8 years out here flies by, big difference
@@RJS2303 true! Plus, out here, the ppl we know are with us, as we change. If you are in prison, they only have calls, visits and letters, so the change is more pronounced by that alone. Here in europe, prison usually isn't as bad as in america..we do have education, job training, furloughs, cells that look like rooms, and co's who are trained to treat inmates like human beings!
Hearing a woman list multiple reasons why a hot dog wouldn’t work is something I never thought I’d hear nor did I think a question like that would be asked.

Jess I love you're videos ❤️. I still owe alot of Court fees smh and this is my last month on probation after 4 years . also I Been sober For almost 2 years.
Yes my ex was in prison in VA and it was a hate crime to beat up a chomo. They were in with them. My ex said alot of people acted like they didn't care or were cool with them. He said he wouldn't talk to them.
In my teens I was in the streets for a while. I ran with other street kids & I can recall two incidents of intentionally getting arrested for “3 hots & a cot”. It’s not that anyone wanted to go. In one case the young man had severely injured his hand & arm. In the other, a different young man had pneumonia in the middle of winter. Both had been ejected from the hospital & were suffering. The pneumonia case was actually too weak to get himself arrested so some friends propped him up in front of an electronics store & shattered the windows. It worked. Both spent under 2 weeks in jail, and could have died without it. It’s always bothered me that our society allows that to be a legitimate way, even if it is a last resort, to get medical attention & a regular diet. I’m watching the homelessness crisis rise, knowing I’m only a few bad steps away myself & I’m kinda surprised I don’t hear about it more often. Jail is scary, you lose autonomy & connections- freedom. Prison even more so. But being on the streets is also scary & it doesn’t come with a bed (however thin), three meals a day (even if not great), or medical care. Many prisons have job training or education completion options. I’m not suggesting it’s easy or that people are treated well, or even humanely. I’ve just experienced the streets and, though I’ve never been to prison or jail, I’ve seen people who have choose jail over street. I really do dream of a classless civilization where all people are treated equally & given equitable access to resources. Unfortunate, prisoners are barely treated as human (depends on location) & the homeless are alternately vermin or invisible. All are just people & we’d all be in the same situation if we’d been through the same circumstances.
That's so sickening. I mean, a society that just let's ppl stay in the street till they either die other break the law and go to prison is just cruel, and it does not even make fiscal sense.. The patrols, the anti homelessness structure, the cost of judges, attorneys and prison space.. If add all that together, providing free housing and healthcare would be sooo much cheaper, AND would probably allow most of them to get back on their feet within months... Yeah, a classless society would be great, but even just a society that cares about the weakest among them would be a step up!
I have a question regarding the cleanliness of the bathroom/showers….. is it because the inmates or staff don’t clean real well or is it because the prison itself doesn’t provide the proper equipment to clean with? Also you’re awesome and thanks for all that you do!
My guess would be that what you stated is part of it, but also part of it could be just a lot people using it. Public restrooms in college get cleaned, but the showers are still nasty and you gotta wear shower shoes. I think that any public restroom with masses amounts of people using them is going to be nasty.
@@You_Need_To_Calm_Down agree 100%. After I posted the comment I thought about the volume of people that hit the showers. I work in environmental services for a hospital and it’s very hard to keep up on the public restrooms due to the volume of people.
I've only been in county jail, but the cleaning staff (inmates) would have one mop/bucket and would go through and clean EVERYTJING with it. And the cleaner isn't like top brand cleaner either. It smells weird on its own. So yeah, not only because of the sheer volume of people using the showers every day, but even being cleaned once a day it doesn't really get "clean". Not even just the showers though... everything is like that lol I would clean my cell top to bottom every day and it would still be filthy constantly. I only took my shoes off to sleep and even then I still wore socks and I hate sleeping with socks on. 😂
I'm glad you're making it. I'm sorry I haven't been watching you lately. Especially with all the addiction going on with Reece. I would send your videos to my dad trying to encourage him to stay sober and stay in rehab and not go to jail. Sadly, he passed away in July using fentanyl so I had been avoiding ya. I love your videos, you're so educational and it's perfect to play while I work on school. My dad used to say that honeybuns we're like gold in jail and that the nurses would bring drugs in.
About comitting crimes to go back to prision, in my country, some people do it because you can get "unemployment benefits" (we don't called it like that) when you get out of there. So people would do something illegal, go to prision for a short period of time, and then getting a few months of "unemployment benefits". Once I was at the police station because I was renewing my national ID (here you go to a national police station for that, also to get your passport) and saw a guy going there and telling the first officer he saw that he had stolen a motorbike. And he was doing it, not becouse he felt that he needed to make police work extremely easy, but because of this. The thing is that here, inmates have some rights, constitutional rights actually, and it's good that they have them, but it's also true that some people live taking advantage of those rights.
Wow. That's really really sad, that some people are in such a bad situation that they feel like they can't survive without "unemployment benefits". Committing crime for that reason - that's pretty extreme.
There's been times it was easier to get drugs in jail than on the streets & I would get arrested on purpose for that reason. 🤦🏼♀️🤯😬 Addiction really does make you do shit you'd never even imagine doing sober!
Hi Natasha, How're you doing?i came across your profile while surfing through the site,..i thought of you being interesting to know, hope you don't mind?
Here's an assumption of mine: In movies and shows, when someone comes in, and the guards are like "fresh meat; come get 'em!" or the inmates are all hootin' and hollerin' from their cells... does that really happen, or do you guys just not give AF when new people come in cuz it happens all the time? I feel like it's fake...
Wow about 10years u were total in jail. That is much. And u were so young. And pretty( but u that u still are)U really make now right decisions, u have 2kids.A nice life and u deserve it🥰
Hey Jessica! I follow you for a bit now but I have never commented here before. I totally share your opinion about how fucked up the us prison system works. I’m from Germany and here it’s a bit different. I think your videos are great girl ❤ could you make a video about like going into prison and getting connected with the people? How does it work in the beginning? How do you find friends there ?
As far as #1 goes I would have to say it’s definitely true. I taught a group of cousins that all lives together. The moms would take turns committing small crimes so they would “get a break from life” . While one was “away”, the other would tend to the children. They essentially rotated so that each went away 1-2 times a year and bragged about it!
Hi Jessica, in Wayne County, Detroit, MI they DO cut the hot dogs vertically. I never once thought that people were thinking about "self-pleasure". Even though you never heard of people doing it, I bet ya that lots of people think about it. Why else would there be so many questions about it? Hmmm... 🤔
From watching Larry Lawton's channel, he has said that it is very hard to acclimate back into society after doing a lot of time. I'd never assume anything about prison since thankfully I've never been .
"inmates know everything"😄😄😄 made me laugh so hard. I'm a volunteer in a prison and IT'S SO TRUE!. "How the he## do you know that?!" is the question i always have when i talk with them.😄😄😄
When I worked as a C/O I would have very inmates ask me stuff, and more often than not I had to say “I have no idea. Y’all gonna find out before me, let me know!” 😂
@@austinwalker240 😄😄😄 My country is not even english speaking country, but some of them who know english know even more. Pluss all of the inmates in my group are alot older than me and wery well educated. I got some ex police offisers, ex government workers and the rest is mixed.

Jessica, you look like a very wise woman. It's also obvious that you have a great sense of humor. Also, some of the nicest ladies I have know, did time. Keep being who you are. You are an awesome person 👌
Retired C/O here. I was doing rounds and I was close to the shower stalls when a bar of soap went zooming by in front of me. A fish yelled out to me asking if I could grab that for him. I told him he was on his own for that one. The whole dayroom busted up. They started calling him bubbles after that.
Wow only 50 people in one unit my unit had two sections with the guards in the middle and each side held 120 people. Each side was approximately the size of a school cafeteria not that big we had about 7 rows going down with about 12 bunk beds in each row with about 3 feet in between each bunk.
I love how your really talking about the reality of people being in prison for messed up reasons. And it’s crazy to think the Alford plea still exists. The government will let you plea that you absolutely did not commit the crime and you are not admitting to it. But the government has enough to possibly convict you and you don’t want to risk a life sentence. So you sign the plea. But they are saying they know you are innocent or atleast still claiming it. But they don’t care that the real perpetrator may still be out there cause they got a conviction. Just crazy
Haven't been here for a while. I've been missing my girl Jessica sooo much. I can relate to her story so much. 💗 Today has been just a day of bengewatching Jess videos. 😁🥰
I am so scared that my cousin is going to be institutionalized he's been in there since he was 18 years old he's 33 now and he might get out in a few months he has been in and out of Institutions since he was about 8 years old. I made mistakes when i was using and went to prison myself. I have so much trouble finding work, getting people to rent to me, people look at me like im trash after they find out im in recovery with a record. Im scared for him because i know first hand how hard it is.
I love the part about hot dogs! Thanks for clarifying that. I was in prison and I heard that assumption a lot. Thanks for clarifying, that it would be pretty senceless… to put a Hot Dog somewhere else than in ones mouth! 😂

Girl!!!! I love u. Not feeling well either today. So I haven't even made it past the hot dog and I love your brutal honesty. I have been told myself that people love my brutal honesty. I am too old (46) to play games. My daughter is 24 and u sound like the conversation I have with her.
I laughed a little too hard at 'breeze right past that!' 🤣
Jessica I love every one of your videos. You really do a wonderful job. I also see that it's your strength and determination that keeps you from going back in prison. Keep up your great work. Bob
You'd be a great teacher because of how well you explain things and your calm demeanor.
Still watching.. thanks so much for touching on DV. Such an important topic that needs to be talked about more! Your videos are so informative. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! Also I think it would be interesting to see a collaboration with officer 401! I would love to see his perspective as law enforcement and your perspective as someone who’s been through the system on certain topics! Keep up the great work 😊
"we have lesbians for that, and their good at it" STOP IT JES LY BABE
I love your channel. You're full of positivity ☺️
Jess you give me so much strength to continue fighting everyday. Love your videos
For jobs in prison, how do you get them? Do you get assigned, have to apply, or can just ask for what job you want if the job has an opening? Can you do a video on what it was like to have a job in prison if you haven’t already?
I’m sure different facility’s do different things, but some jobs are just assigned and some you can apply too.
I don't know why but "it's limp-ish" had me cracking up. ❤️
The last time for 8 years definitely did
For the better? And if yes, was that because of prison or despite of ot?
Plus..8 years change you no matter where you are
@@saraa.4295 yes for the better lol. I've been out since 2014
@@saraa.4295 the difference between 8 years out here and 8 years inside is astronomical.
The hotdog one just cracks me up who actually thinks you can do anything effective with the flippy, floppy, limp, hot dog.
Hey Jess! Hope things are going well for you and your family!
Hearing a woman list multiple reasons why a hot dog wouldn’t work is something I never thought I’d hear nor did I think a question like that would be asked.
About to watch, but I just wanna say… I found your channel a couple weeks ago & I am addicted!!! You are the poster woman for RESILIENCE!!! I feel like I already know a good amount about you (what you share with us) from watching your vids. Every time you do prison cooking, you remind us that you are a big texture person lol I love when you look at the camera & smile & laugh🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 stay strong girl. Your struggles motivated you & made you a hu$tlaa
I am so so glad you are Jessica again and that prison changed you I'm sure but not in a negative way it changed you in a opened your eyes and now look at you helping other not by selling them drugs but getting them help for recovery.. amazing how your life is the way it is because you did it, no one else but Jessica she got on her big girl pants 👖 and got her kid back and is clean and now teaching others right from wrong
No idea why this is my fav UA-cam channel. But. It is. It just is.
I've taken plea bargains when I was innocent so I could get out of jail...some of my biggest regrets in life.... But I totally understand why people do it
Hi Kellie how are you doing?
Jess I love you're videos ❤️. I still owe alot of Court fees smh and this is my last month on probation after 4 years . also I Been sober For almost 2 years.
Literally my favorite UA-camr ❤
The hot dog bit killed me lmaoooo 💀💀
Me too but not in a good way
@@alphavegas1
Something can kill you in a good way?
I’m sure that hotdog has a good personality and is nice.. i’d say that’s average size maybe even above average..
You’re so funny with the hot dog !🌭 Lol
“ Do you mean like this? Or cut in half like this? 🤷🏼♀️”
“We have lesbians for that and they’re good at it!” DEAD I AM DEAD
I love you Jess. I’m watching as much of you as time permits to support you these days.
Genuinely love your content. I say it every time. 💜👏🏻
Hi Ashley how are you doing?
I love how your making more videos now ❤
Hey in Sweden we got almost every other 16 year old girl with a problem locked up now.. People like you are needed.
hi jessica ur videos, and just listening to ur voice in general helps so much and calms down my anxiety thank u sm for that
PART 2 PLEASE!!
the prisons I've been in heartcheck you you're first day. it doesn't matter if you win the fight. it matters that you fight for yourself.
The mayo thing definitely came from a Shameless episode. "It's like screwing a bowl of potato salad every morning!" 🤣
My aunt went back to prison after my mom passed away cause she couldn’t deal with society
There's been times it was easier to get drugs in jail than on the streets & I would get arrested on purpose for that reason. 🤦🏼♀️🤯😬 Addiction really does make you do shit you'd never even imagine doing sober!
i like that if holiday or someone birthday have spread or party to make u happy laugh
Hi Natasha, How're you doing?i came across your profile while surfing through the site,..i thought of you being interesting to know, hope you don't mind?
I really enjoyed this video!!! Such awesome and some hilarious assumptions! Almost at 1 MIL!!!! 🎉❤
I'm not int the US, never done drugs, never been in jail, but these stories are so interesting!
And pretty( but u that u still are)U really make now right decisions, u have 2kids.A nice life and u deserve it🥰
Hi Nathalie how are you doing?
I love her smile!
I love your sarcasm 😂 it’s so funny I just love you so much ♥️
Hey Jessica!
Hi Paulina how are you doing?
@@jameshurts3720 I’m great how are you?
@@paulinajyp2440 I’m good, nice to read from you. I’m from Dallas Texas USA and you if you don’t mind ?
Love the honesty. Thanks. I gotta stop watchin tv.
That's just crazy!!!!
Hi Jessica, in Wayne County, Detroit, MI they DO cut the hot dogs vertically. I never once thought that people were thinking about "self-pleasure". Even though you never heard of people doing it, I bet ya that lots of people think about it. Why else would there be so many questions about it? Hmmm... 🤔
I've been to jail a couple times and all the ettiquit you described was basics for me.
From watching Larry Lawton's channel, he has said that it is very hard to acclimate back into society after doing a lot of time. I'd never assume anything about prison since thankfully I've never been .
Love your videos! They're always so interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Could listen to her all day, love the openiness and honestly.. needed to hear this... literally cracking up 🤣
Oh and my friend said she looks like a prettier Regina George and now I can't unsee ittttt😏😏
Yeah I can’t find a good job, it’s been 12 years and jobs still being up my felony. Mine was just a traffic accident and I didn’t have insurance
I love you, i just do! when You tell storys about You AND prision sometimes i imagen the entire thing, like if your life was a carácter on a prison show You would be my fav, You AND Christina, You have a amazing story AND way of telling it, one day im gonna enjoy that book, AND if You have an audio versión BETTERR!
Really like these videos, thank you Jess.
I 100% think prison changes you..for better and for the worst, agree with the reasons you gave but also grateful for having seen what I did so I'm aware of how the system really works
Just crazy
The hot dog talk was so funny, Jessica you’re so cute😊
Haven't been here for a while. I've been missing my girl Jessica sooo much. I can relate to her story so much. 💗 Today has been just a day of bengewatching Jess videos. 😁🥰
I am so scared that my cousin is going to be institutionalized he's been in there since he was 18 years old he's 33 now and he might get out in a few months he has been in and out of Institutions since he was about 8 years old. I made mistakes when i was using and went to prison myself. I have so much trouble finding work, getting people to rent to me, people look at me like im trash after they find out im in recovery with a record. Im scared for him because i know first hand how hard it is.
im so proud of you and your family
Mayo is too gross to eat OR use as lube. Ketchup too.
Just absolutely love you. 🤍
I love the part about hot dogs! Thanks for clarifying that. I was in prison and I heard that assumption a lot. Thanks for clarifying, that it would be pretty senceless… to put a Hot Dog somewhere else than in ones mouth! 😂
I don't know what it's like in the States, but here in the U.K the holding sells are so hot, like baking, your pouring with sweat the whole time, with just you mind. Nothing to distract you but heat.
