As soon as I saw Lanfear channeling, but we the viewers couldn't see her weaves, I yelled out "THE TRUE POWER!" at the screen. I feel like she was about to Compel Rand now that the seeds of his love for her are properly sewn. I'm pretty sure that the ending might imply that even though she did die, the Great Lord / Dark One channeled through her using the connection he has to his Chosen to resurrect her, which is why the saa were swimming in her eyes. Is it a bit over the top? Sure. But it honestly builds fear in the viewer about the Forsaken because they currently appear unkillable, which is terrifying.
I will say this for the show: it has already made the forsaken 1000 times more effectively terrifying, than the buffoons we had to put up with in the books.
It's a smart move to avoid the CGI for ageles faces and show that the Aes Sedai a much older as they look. For the plot it isn't relevant if Moirane is 40 or 100 years old
I only just discovered your channel thanks to ‘The Algorithm’ - but I am immediately struck by your insight and willingness to embrace the possibilities of this adaption and turning of the wheel. I’m looking forward to your future reactions.
11:11 “it’s a lot of people in a lot of different places” exactly my complaint with so much of the show but this episode especially. Rand, Moiraine and lan are all building to the lanfear reveal at the end but Perrin, min/mat and the Wondergirls need their little segments as well bc we don’t have time to give those beats the A/B plot attention they deserve.
This was great, looking forward to more from you! I'm still not quite sure what's going on with the Alanna/Maksim thing with masking the bond. "I didn't like having an audience in my head, and she didn't like the show". What wouldn't she like? And then Lan's comment "does the tower know?" Why would the tower care? Is this hinting at something bigger, or is it just a look into Aes Sedai/Warder interpersonal dynamics?
What bugs me is that 12 eps in and Lan is yet to be shown as the badass he is in the books, guy has cried more times then any of the "emotional" characters, its just not who the book character is, and the book character does not lose fights but show Lan has yet to win one. I also feel they are being a bit lose with the travel time, people seem to be jumping great distances in what appears to be very little time. For the most part they have been better this season with screen time management but they continue to overuse the warder line, and the story drags every time we are there. Its been a much improved show from season one but if they fix some niggles it will be a great show.
Because the showrunners have abandoned the characterizations from the books. We were never going to get Stonefaced Lan... but they went overboard to have him simping for Moraine this whole season. Honestly... I hate most of these characters. These are NOT the people from the books.
"It got good" yet so predictable. I am not a bookreader and even I knew the instant I saw Rand with a love interest that she'd be evil in some way. It was entirely predictable. If she had _not_ been evil, that would have been _truly_ unpredictable.
You’re definitely entitled to your opinion. I don’t love all the changes made, but I never expected a print to screen direct adaptation either. To me, the good outweighs the bad by a pretty good margin.

Absolutely terrifying!
Hopper's introduction got me tearing up. The goodest of good bois 🐺
To soar!
Me too. Hopper... Reading about him was one thing, seeing him so happy and soaring... I can't.

I've watched episode 4 too many times to count and Hopper's naming scene always brings me to tears 🥹🥹🥹
I love it ❤️❤️
I’m OK with them aging up a Moiraine so that if we do ever get the foretelling flashbacks, they won’t have to recast her with a younger actor.

"It's a lot of different people in a lot of different places." That pretty much summarizes Jordan's writing. 😂😂
Lol facts

Thank you! I’m a fan of both the show and books for sure.
Thank you soo much. Love ur reaction.
Thank you!
Regarding Min, I think she was expirencing a flash back in the dream world, with Ishmahel invading her thoughts. Sort of like the boys in S1.
Yes, I agree. I realized that while editing. 😂
Lan “I’m still working on that Wisdom” 😂
Weee, you noticed the Saa, too! It's getting good!
Yes! So glad they did that.

Yes. Hopefully it will be easier once we are closing in on one location.
The Nynaeve-Egwene rift is true to the books, although maybe moreso in TDR than in TGH. 18:21
It is.
oh, i missed eye's moment, Thank you!

Hey thanks! My thoughts are lots of exposition so non readers can get it?
Leane looks like a GODDESS
She just DOES.
How exactly do you think wolves eat? 9:48

@@MaleusMaleficarum then learn to appreciate the characters and show as its own thing or stop watching. It's really as simple as that.
Hey, you have a channel!
I do!
Yeah Moraine isnt that old she was a novice when Rand was born on Dragonmount
Accepted, but nearly Aes Sedai. She could well have been in her late 20s to early 30a even book canon. But I like that it's aging people up.
She is in her 70s
When Ivon and Maksim die it will hit way harder now.
I don’t think they will both die. One for sure. I wonder if they will stay true to the books.
Will Rafe let kill his RL husband in the show? I dont known...
Is it really her son as she couldnt really remeber his age. Hiw long has he been near the tower? Sister stong jaws cannont ever be trusted.
I think it is. Her dismay when Nynaeve told her what the herbs were doing to him was genuine, I think. The way she said, "My boy." was heartbreaking
Good Episode BUT for my taste a little to much Warder Bond Lan story, we have no time!

Never thought anyone could ever make the WOT boring. These guys are brutalizing the series.

Subbed!
Dovie'andi se tovya sagain!
Thanks so much!
