- Hello, and welcome to the last episode of Fratello Talks in 2023. Today, RJ, Lex, and your host Nacho are here to discuss their personal, professional, and horological highlights of the year. It’s the 2023 wrap-up episode! Tune in and watch (or listen) as the guys reminisce over some of the past 12 months. They touch on topics ranging from some of the year’s best watch releases and events to horological innovations, articles, and personal achievements. We put a ribbon on 2023 and send the year off on a high by reading off a handful of your comments.
Guys this would have so much better if the pics of the watches you all are talking about is shown to the viewer. Great content and discussion otherwise. Cheers !
We will start doing so soon. Our set-up was just to “tape” our podcast, but after demand we will adjust it and free up some resources to do more editing to include the watch pictures.
@@robert-janbroer8936 Los van de foto's / macro's van de horloges die je in zou kunnen brengen pleit ik er nog steeds voor dat het geheel gewoon met buste-shots achter een bureau wordt gedaan, want deze setting komt nog steeds gekunsteld over. Er is een goede reden waarom talkshows zoals DWDD met meerdere tafelgasten niet aan een koffietafel worden gedaan. Ik vrees dat ik deze afleveringen in dit format nooit af kan kijken.
@@ChrissepisjeDaar hebben we aan gedacht, maar we vinden dit zelf prettiger voor nu. Voor een set-up met een tafel hebben we ook meerdere camera’s nodig, en het blijft een podcast format waarbij we hebben besloten om het ook op YT beschikbaar te maken. We willen niet een complete videoproductie op tuigen hiervoor.
@@robert-janbroer8936 grappig genoeg luister ik ze dus altijd zonder te kijken, dus voor een podcast is het wel een prima format. Dat doen jullie goed.

The Rolex "PUZZLE" Day-Date is probably a precursor for a series of Day-Dates with yellow, red, etc dials in 2024. The "Stella" dials will be back in 2024 in the Rolex Day-Date line-up. The "PUZZLE" is a marketing stunt, just a few persons picked-up on...

2023 has been a Japan year for me, with the Grand Seiko SBGN003, an excellent travel watch and the very under the radar Citizen The Citizen AQ4091-56L Washi paper dial. The dressier watch that makes you wonder why you have some many other pieces in the sock drawer.
I really enjoy your content on YT and also from your magazine. Your watch collabs are also very nice, unfortunately I was late to get some of my favorites (e.g. Ultraman). But I was really disappointed from the white REM strap I bought recently. The quality is not up to your self-proclaimed standards specifically for that price (stiff, raw, too wide to fit all the way through the buckle).
I have mentioned this before but they don’t care...
