...This hit me hard. I've always been a nonchalant child. I dont really care about other things, other than my own world. My dad was always away because of work, so i was left to my mom's care. I've always missed my dad, but i lost him one night. He used to tell me stories about Superman.. so i grew up idolising superman. At that time, it was all about his adventures, him saving the world.. he supported me and strengthened me whenever im down, we sometimes argue about how things should be handled... "Never give up" that was his last word before he slept forever. Now that I think about it, all those stories about superman, those arguments about how to do things or how to confront things... It was all to prepare me on how to face the world.
My mom is always nagging me to stay healthy, she takes care of almost every household stuff. She's always worrying about me and my brothers... Sometimes it annoys me. Sometimes, I scold her whenever she does. I... Wanted to tell her to sit back and relax, i want to tell her that i got it, tell her not to worry... But i just couldn't say it, specially after my dad passed away. I have to face the world and be the man of the house -keep it all steady. But she never really confronted me when i scold her or get annoyed, because i think she knows that i care about her and it frustrates me that i cant do more.

You know what's making this more emotional and painful for us filipinos? It's the words that was used in the lyrics, it hits a lot more different with the tagalog words that was used in the song and that's what we really wish the foreigners, who listen to this, could understand..
the line "tahan na, pahinga muna, ako na" strucks you a hundred percent more painful if you could only understand these tagalog words.. it has deeper meaning than when it is translated in english.. .these words arent usually used for poetic approach but more for a day to day conversation that's why the song is so relatable and very realistic for us filipinos
"Tahan na" really got me. It is a word i don't hear often, and hearing it in this song shocked me. Sabi daw tahan na, pero mas gusto ko yata humagulgol pa eh HAHAHA 🤣😭😭
Ako na. I translated that word as "It's my turn now" instead of "I'll do it." It hurts more and is more deeper imo 😔😭

The Lataratara is pronounced as "La Tierra" which translates to "The Earth" and it can also mean "My World". Lataratara is also a lullaby being sang to a child by her Mom or Dad when it goes to sleep and it is very comforting which makes a child feel and secure. So this song is so emotional and brilliant. I think it is phenomenal. Really.

If we're going to look closely it has several meanings. First, Mapa, when you seperate it, Ma (short for Mama or Mom) Pa (short for Papa or Dad), That is why the 1st verse is for our Mom and the second verse if for our dad then Mapa in english means Map (Something that guides us or helps us which direction to take, so basically our Ma, Pa are our guide) and Also Ma (the first two letters in the filipino word Mata, which in english means eyes, and in the song 1st verse says that our mom becomes our eyes to look at the world) and Pa (first two letters in the word Paa which in english means Feet, and in the song it says that our father helps and taught us to stand on our feet). This is my interpretation. Thank you for appreciating SB19!

1st - MAPA (MAP)
2nd - Ma,Pa (Mom, Dad)
3rd - MA "MAta" (Eyes) and PA "PAa" (Feet). The eye represents the Mom who makes us become a visionary "to see the possibilities and outcome of the things we will do in the future" and wanderer for whichever we go we must seek for the things that makes us happy, and Feet represents the Dad who taught us to stand strong even tho how broken we are and makes us ready for whatever challenges may come to our lives.
