I am a State level badminton player here in india... literally brother ,indian government completely changed the environment for sports in india...we are provided with good equipments and training and additional monthly pay of ruppe 3000 ..i also feel that pakistan should win medals.. afterall pakistan is cultural partner of India...hope pakistan will win medal in future ♥️♥️

As an Indian I am happy what Arshad has achieved in this Olympics. Finishing 5th among the world's best and that too without proper training facilities speaks volume about his talent. Thats sad to know. Despite the difficulties the pakistani went to olympics, and all the differences apart, we must pat his back too. It was so good to know that our govt went the extra mile for Neeraj sir. But lets be honest, Arshad's story is the story of so many young athletes in the subcontinent. @@Vivek.101 took a non-Khangress stable government to begin to remove layers of administrative corruption and to support the athletes more directly. The progress is slow but at least it is steady, and it is showing results and promise for more. This was the most number of medals won by India in any Olympics already. And India sent the most number of athletes to Olympics too, ever-- it takes a lot even just to qualify for any Olympic event, so imagine how much has been spent already to develop that talent pipeline. For example, Pakistan didn't even qualify for its mens hockey team to play in Olympics (and forget about their women's team, if they even have a national women's hockey team, that is).
Kenya has runners, those people have twitchy ankle muscles and are born to run, so some of that Kenyan and other talent in innate, and they compete in events that have multiple medal prospect-- a sprinter can run individually and for a team event, for example. India is targeting that sort of sports also, where they are medal-rich! Hockey is stupid in that sense-- you play all those games and if you're good enough, you'll still win only one medal for all that effort, meanwhile a swimmer of same caliber as the hockey player will compete in about 5 different medal events and maybe win 2.

In USA , Olympians -most of them come from the Stanford University ,which has excellent T& F fecilities. High time our Tech Institutes, colleges need to contribute by means of scientifically helping the sports aspirants in their training and with state of the art infrastructure.

Government of India invested so much of money on these athletes.TOPS (Target Olympic Podium Scheme) started back in 2016 after winning just 2 medal in Rio, their support staff, medical team, coaching staff all of them were given freehand in all of their decisions. On an average govt of India invests 5 to 10 crore per athlete, while China and USA invests 40 to 50 crore.

Arshad played like a true warrior and Neeraj supported him like a true sportsman. Olympics mai 5th aana bhi koi choti baat nai hai. Arshad did much better than Vetter from Germany who was the favorite. Ek raat pehle hi Arshad ne apne idol Neeraj ke pair choo ke uska lingamrit pee ke uska ashirwad liya tha jiske chalte wo 5th aaya. Neeraj ne bhi support kiya. This is the true sportsmanship. That point regarding the coach, those small points those small aspects they are the differences.....he needs support. He was late for his last throw, in the first 23 sec he didn't even move and then he realized he was late. (in his fifth and final throw) And then the coach was showing him back. Wah bhai!!!!
There is an Olympic coming in 3 years and it could have been the start of the preparation for Nadeem if it was not his back but words of encouragement and cheer. There was a Finnish guy competing, anyone can watch his coach and his reaction too. That was just positive so much positive.

Sports complexes and game courts are all occupied by troopes of rangers. No problem with them but rangers should have yheor own residential complexes rather than camping in those places which were supposed to be places for training.

It's also gives it's Athletes Free Tickets to any international Events , Diet Allowance, Equipment Allowances etc & we are still wondering why they won 7 Medals in this Olympics 2021 compared to only 2 Medals in Olympics 2016

He also belongs to a poor farmer family. worked hard and made his place in many international as well as national tournaments. You are comparing Neeraj's current period or period of the last 3-4 years with Arshad's early period.
Neeraj chopra has a humble background but he is in no way from poor family. Owning an agricultural land in Haryana is not a a poor man thing. I am not saying he is super rich but he is still well off.
