But I wish you had turned the camera directly onto Glenmuir High School as you drove past it. That great school is very rich in history e.g. the main office building used to be a plantation great house etc.
Growing up in May Pen in the 1970’s, I attended Glenmuir Prep school. All of those new developments were just cow pastures And empty fields. Wow May Pen has grown. Some of the buildings are the same but there is a lot of buildings that are the same. The Singer building used to be Guinep tree supermarket. Thanks for sharing. I miss Jamaica and my childhood. I am crying happy tears looking through these videos.

His development at Glenmuir and his continued embracing of the values has brought him to be the top black male teacher in the NYC BOE. Now here is my thoughts about may pen just like many of our town across Jamaica the town looks a little bit outdated but I still appreciate it because of Historical and Cultural value but I do think the government / mayor / and also the people of May pen needs to do more by keeping the town Green and Pristine .... mr:Rush in other videos that you presented before about Pen pen I noticed there are some modern Plaza and fast food infrastructures is now in place which is really a good look for Jamaica and the people of May pen 👍👏😁🇯🇲😄. the housing scheme and gated community townhouses looking exceptionally well ... mr:Rush especially the multicolored gated community townhouse " oh yes " that is definitely a 10 out of 10 for me 👍👍😄🇯🇲. I also see an amazing constructed wall while you was driving that stands out amongst the rest It is like something from out of a California Beverly Hill movie which is definitely a " Super WOW " for me and for a few second I couldn't help but to pause the video and mentally soak it in a bit ..😄 lol 😁 .. so on my next building project in Jamaica. I think mandeville may pen portmore ocho rios . Spanish town and old harbour should be designated cities instead of town. And the government should focus on developing even more so these areas

The question of street vendors is a difficult issue. The streets or pavement needs to be kept clear for pedestrians to walk especially the physically challenged. The repair of pavement and the removal of rubbish doesn't get done without money. Therefore you shouldn't be allowed to sell without paying for this. Anyone wants to sell on the street you have to be registered and pay a capped level of tax for the year. Jamaica is littered with large over size abandoned properties people found too expensive to maintain once they had gotten older, so I think town houses (called terraced houses in the UK) is a better option for jamaicans with smaller families and the diaspora.
I wouldn't want to live in a Townhouse or in a gated community/complex in the rural area Family type housing surrounded by lands with fruit trees and enough space at the back to plant ground provisions 😂😂❤️😊😊
Lot of development going on but the roads ,verges and sidewalks need a lot of attention to improve the aesthetic appeal of the area. That's one of Jamaica's weakness in terms our development . Lack of attention paid to the infrastructure and overall aesthetics of the general surroundings.
I'm gutted, you turn back just before my yard. When you turn left off Jackson street at the blue house, continues down. There is more to see down there, I wasn't happy when you turn back. You are doing a wonderful thing to show case glenmuir housing scheme.
