Japan doesn't have copyright exceptions for parody. Usually, parodies in Japan are either under the quotation exception, or are deliberately ignored by original copyright holders.
yeah this guy totally forgot to add : the reason nintendo flagged it down so fast was because the mod was a PAYED service. thus breaking nintendo/gamefreaks TOS by profiting off their IP which is pokemon.
Both are Japan games, if they don't care, I don't see why you or anyone else should care and fight a battle for them that doesn't exist. They do not care about parody. We also didnt know that Dragon Quest existed. Palworld is inspired by Ark and Pokemon, If Palword can do it, so can Nintendo. This is how competition works. And clearly, Dragon Quest lost the fight. Doesnt matter how good it is. Had I known at the the time, I would have had a different opinion. But Pokemon would have been more fun, and more visually appealing than Dragon Quest. I see these DQ monsters, and I was like, yea no thanks, this is visually abysmal. This is why Pokemon made it on top.
is the Zelda 64 remakes in unreal already taken down? if not, it is a new record for fan devs... and well, be able to make backupsfrom games is as fantasy dreaming, as specting game companies stopping doing the charge to play online for the gamers joy instead the gamers money.
ok dont spread misinformation.... this is FALSE the reason it was taken down was because the mod demanded you pay the devs of it. then nintendo got pissed because someone is making profit off their IP. please educate yourself. do research. before you go throwing shit on the internet.
Not a Pokemon player, was too old both times for pokemon :) But I am a player of Palworld, probability less likely to have picked the game up if it was a pokemon game Would still like mods for it tho
Pokemon stole from Dragon Quest. People should be happy as fuck that an Indie Developer made a huge success. No one likes Nintendo anymore, hell my switch is a coffee coaster ever since I got my ROG Ally. Palworld is an amazing game that is a twist of a few genres and it works perfectly.
