    I’m a former ski racer who now works in a ski in shop Aspen Colorado and our blizzard rep gave me a pair of 192 anomaly 102s as my daily driver, and I fell in love with the ski because to me it just felt like an all mountain race ski

      If you've tried the new Mantra - how does it compare?

    • @gagemuxworthy7661
      @gagemuxworthy7661 3 години тому

      @@mattclark1278 I agree with Matt and Bob that the anomaly has a bit more pop to then the mantra on trail in Aspen we have a lot of steeper glated skiing, where the mantra would like to get sideways and slide around a bit more. Where as the anomaly, felt a little bit more comfortable, charging, and bouncing off the top of terrain

    I’m 40yr 6ft 210lbs advanced/ expert athletic skier. Currently I own Volkl kendo in 184cm and elan ripstick 96 black in 188cm; which I love both. I ski mostly Vermont and New Hampshire. I’m looking for suggestions on sizing for the black crows Justice.

    Might be more helpful to just pick your top 10-15 in this category, instead of a 2 part presentation with so many skis.

      90-100mm skis are too popular in North America, their suppliers probably don't want them to cut corners in these categories, idk. I'd prefer them putting more emphasis on the comparisons videos than the individual ski reviews.

    • @ThePro116
      @ThePro116 10 годин тому

      I like when they do all the skis in the category. Otherwise your always wondering how the ski does that's not in it and multiple people are always responding what about certain skis that were not in the video.

    I am probably going to make a lot more comments on the DPS, Kastle, Stockli and Nordica and Volkl but I have to say something about Rossi.. If you can ski the conditions that you skied with that ski it says a lot about the ski.. Those conditions would classify as crud to me and if you can ski crud you can ski anything in my book.. Floaty skis can get bounced around in crud and sinky skis can get stuck in the crud..
    I have the 2021 DPS Wailer Foundation 100 RP x 184.. As far as shaping.. The only thing that looks different from Wailer 100 and Kaisen 100 is that the Foundation seams thicker under the foot.. It might be thicker throughout.. It still has a ton of camber.. I am guessing that it takes a little more work to get on and off the edge.. Something you guys did not mention was that you have to stay forward on the skis.. If you are upright or back the tails will catch and spin you around.. The interesting thing is that early season when there are a ton of people on the hill I will either bring my 25 year old race skis to be able to do quick turns or my RP.. I might even try working on rolling from edge to edge rather than my race style of lifting edge to edge.. Might keep me from wearing out so quick..

    the justis has been on my list as an every day ski was looking for 177 bc of build could it be justifiable to go down to 171 at 5’8 210 i ski a ripstick 96 black 180 and m free 108 182 now and am very happy

    • @NibbleSnarph
      @NibbleSnarph День тому +1

      My opinion is no, I currently have daylied a Justus for two seasons now and I got a 177. I’m 6’0 and 225.
      I am a hard charging skier, and I can absolutely over ski the 177 and I regretted not getting the 184. The 177 are plenty strong , but I feel like I have to balance on them.
      On edge/linking carves they are fantastic bc of the lack of early taper, but I can over leverage them from a fore/aft perspective at bigger edge angles and higher speeds 40+ bc I just don’t have enough length.
      When I ski them flat in bumps or slush or pow, I feel like my center sweet spot is too small for my height. When I am in the sweet spot they again are amazing exactly what I wanted from them, but i really have to concentrate on staying there, and I find that more difficult in more technical terrain.
      I love these skis and picked up a pair of 184s for this season recently exactly bc I was originally hesitant sizing up from where I normally ski a 180 when I bought these 2 seasons ago.
      Highly recommend these skis they have are exactly what I wanted I just didn’t give myself enough room for type of skiing I like to do, just don’t size down like I did.
      I would go 177 for your height and if your used to skiing 180s.

      I’ve been skiing the justis 184 every day the past two seasons. 6’1” 170lbs. Definitely wouldn’t want to downsize. They rip through tight bumps and trees if you stay on top of ‘em. Super fun at Crested Butte.

    How does the Zx100 189 do in the trees? I'm worried the 181 is a bit small at 6'2" 180. But the 189 may be unweildy. Also considering just stepping up to the zx115 in the 186.
