    I enjoyed the video. Question. Why didn't you wrap the frame with tyvek or similar wrap before putting in the window? I see you added it after but I would have expected to see both wrapping before the window in and then after.

    What about the drain to the o-pipe?

      The house is old enough where it doesn't have one. They should have dug even deeper and wider and backfilled with gravel to create a drainage pit under and around the well so it provides an area for the water to drain. This will just pool like crazy in a big rainfall.

    Did you get a lot of water in the basement, using that saw? I have wood paneling and fairly nice newish white carpeting down there. Is there another decent option for the cutting? Thank you! This is great.

    With the plastic on the inside were you able to keep the dust out of the rest of the house?

    • @jakesmith6750
      @jakesmith6750 7 місяців тому

      That's why I came here to see how they managed not the dust but the water, I've done this before and your saw blasts a huge amount of "muddy" water into the basement haha I'd assume you'd basically need to build a shower with poly and something to hold the water on the ground

  • @JackLopez-m7r

    did they say anything about whether flashing was needed or not?

    with a ring saw and mini excavator would you bet that youll finish it fully in one day ?

    How come you didn't cut from the inside? Seems like you'd have more leverage?

      Para nada, por eso escarbamos mas hondo y pusimos graba de drenaje para que el agua no se meta adentro

    Next time try a cut and brake saw

      The total rental cost should be no more than $200, and it is way faster

  • @stutter4064
    @stutter4064 Місяць тому

    For $300 you could have bought a 16 inch wet concrete saw with a diamond blade. Rental always a scam

    I would never hire this company. They didn't even seal (culk) the outside frame creases before adding flashing. Absolutely unprofessional.
